It doesn't affect memory card, you can remove it before doing the reset if you are sceptical.

Ok ok ok ok, people, you should always reboot your device after updating. Also some updates take time to settle, sometimes up to a week, so don't be quick to complain, wait for some days, especially those complained of battery drain. For those having issues with bugs, consider doing a factory reset. This is the reason it's better to update manually, and ensure you have a saved file of the rom you downloaded. If eventually you encounter bugs, you just flash the rom again via updater app without needing to waste data.

Don't attribute every issue to bugs.

Ok, we lived without miui theme editor for years and still got nice customisations, you can begin with this, download each of the themes and apply them using this as an example.

Choi! 3 gig ram dey enough for good multitasking jare, like somebody suggest here, if you nr get time for locking apps or using 'no restriction' for battery saver in order for apps to last very long in the background, simply turn off miui optimisation.

Modified : since bootloader is unlocked, just download the recovery rom.

Xiaomi haven't released an Android update for that device, why the worry? Truth is you are going to get it late if you ever get it, and don't expect more than one update

i got a redmi 5 plus (4GB, 64GB) which seems to have a fake ROM. I have since been unable to activate find device on the phone and received no updates

the miui version is "miui global 9.2|stable

Any help on how i can get an original ROM on my device

First confirm if you bootloader is unlocked. Settings - About phone - tap miui version like 7 times to enable developer options. Then go back to settings - Additional settings - Developer options - Mi unlock status.

There is nothing like note 4 pro unless it's mtk, just ensure you get a snapdragon phone.

That notification ish is one reason am not even moved to replace my note 4x. The new aspect ratio is really cool in terns of portability.
