Got my xiaomi phone yesterday

Tecno L8 Tampered Glass fits the phone perfectly

Tecno L9 flip case fits the phone with little adjustment to the speaker and fingerprint sensor...

Note 4x
Welcome, hope you ordered for the above items especially the tampered glass from AliExpress, many of the ones sold here don't seem to be durable, and easily accumulate scratches

Guys 1hour 30mins charge while pressing on note 4x gives 37% is that normal or na my miui 9 cuz am
Charging and pressing makes charging very slow, especially when the battery is below 50%,sometimes you won't even get 1% top up for over 20 mins. If you want to press and use, allow the phone to charge up to like over 70%, I think the charging mechanism is built in a particular order.

this year for budget smartphone world go sweet gan...
my prediction... xiaomi go release redmi 5 alone for india market wif 2/16gb n 3/32gb at first n later announce n release redmi note 5...
i don't think redmi 5 plus stand much chance considering redmi note 4 is still doing well ova dere... rem dt xiaomi redmi 4 n 4 prime scenario. b4 dem release redmi 4x as redmi 4 for indians
All these go make even more sense if exchange rate favours d naira too. Xiaomi go stop the production of Redmi note 4/4x because of the Redmi 5 plus, na their way b dat.

2017, xiaomi redmi note 4 vs nokia 6 in d indian market... despite d ridiculous cpu used n d ba3 capacity ( this 2 things influence a lot of buyers in Indian), some people still dey clamour for dt nokia 6... xiaomi commanded d lion share of smartphone's sales
now 2018, Nokia don raise dia game, wetin xiaomi go do for indian market...yet to b seen bt they have to b smart wif it....
Exactly bro, even if Xiaomi doesn't plan to release a note 5,they surely will reconsider that decision, they don't like playing second fidel when it comes to specs/price ratio.

Wetin concern me and Nokia success, I love competition that favours consumers in the long run.
As for the Honor 7x, when you compare the price with the Nokia, you'll know Nokia didn't do badly.

Exactly. We have been used to the low cost of Xiaomi phones that we think any slight increase in prices is uncalled for. These people are in it to make profit.

The note 5 with sd632 is rumoured to retail @$250 for the highest configuration. With all due respect to Nokia, India which is the main business hub of Xiaomi will snap up any redmi or mi devices before taking a second look at Nokia.
Now that's what am talking, the Xiaomi with that official price will be preferable, people are still blinded by brand names up to this moment, even in India, they still long for a Nokia device for the masses. Many don't even care about the difference between 32 and 64gig, that's what 'fanboyism' can do to people. Knowing what Xiaomi stands for, they will either use a processor higher than the s630 for the note 5 or any other moniker they intend to make as the Nokia 6 competitor.

gidieberry:
lets start from here bro, at dt 260 usd price dt u suggested, xiaomi configuration will be 4gb/64gb even wif retailers adding dia own jara to it.
choosing btw nokia by hmd and xiaomi redmi series is up to buyers n criteria u set 4 yasef. having a product dt cost 260 usd like mi a1 even wif its snap 625 to me is more preferrable to dis nokia 6 '18... d diff btw snap 625 n 630 is negligible....
make xiaomi annouce redmi note 5 wif d speculated snap 632 first..
Exactly the point, not faulting Xiaomi with pricing in any way, but praising Nokia for the competition.

as far as i am concerned xiaomi phones are price fairly compared to wt dey are given to the end user.. dis nokia 6 '18 at d base configuration shud nt b more dn 200usd....
Naaa, you still don't get it, Xiaomi is the king of pricing don't get me wrong, just happy Nokia is pricing reasonably well with this, of course Xiaomi have no option than to price even better, it's the only way to survive.

nokia 6 2018 is officially priced higher wen compared to xiaomi redmi 5 plus na.. abi am nt getting u properly ni
Yes you are not getting me, not comparing the Redmi 5 plus head ty head with the Nokia 6, it's the pricing. I can't even compare with the Mi 5x, because the Nokia has a better hardware, maybe later we will know about the camera performance. Am just wondering and hoping that Xiaomi cuts down prices of current devices to make way for newer ones because the Nokia 6 is actually decently priced wink.

But the nokia 6 cost pass the redmi 5plus na?

32gb 230$
64gb 260$

Nd retailers go still add there own oo grin
Compare the price and the processor of the previous one na, also you know say the 64gig of Mi 5x cost around that same $260 before. Retailers price nr go too much.

At around $260 it's priced almost similarly as Xiaomi phones running s625, people will be tempted to spend more and get the Nokia instead of Xiaomi unless Xiaomi widens the price difference. Of course the price of the Nokia will be a bit higher than the official; when you consider that it runs on snapdragon 630 compared to the miserly s430 of the previous edition, you'll appreciate the price. If Xiaomi releases a device running snapdragon 630, with the current pricing of devices like the Mi 5x that runs S625, what do you think it will cost? Difference won't be much with the Nokia logically. So how is Xiaomi going to sell such device?-to cut costs of older ones or simply cease to manufacture them.

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 1:20pm On Jan 05, 2018
This year should be interesting as regards pricing, the price of the Nokia 6 2018 makes the Redmi 5 plus looks abit expensive in Xiaomi's standard. The only way now is price cut, and if there will ever be a Redmi note 5, it can't afford to use less than the Snapdragon 630, and must be priced lower than the Nokia 6. Can't wait for the price drop to begin, make I go climb tree dey observe cheesy.

help me! cry i was listening to music with my redmi note 4x when i had call, i removed the earpiece to answer the call nd i noticed some small tiny metal came out with the earpiece pin, but i couldn't hear what the caller was saying.
As of right now, ever since it happened yesterday I've been having issues with my redmi note 4x reciever no sound just deaf mute. I've gone through various diagnosis both rebooting, resetting, flashing nd i even ran the CIT hardware test nd it failed. As i dey now this thing just dey scatter my head anyhow, my phone rooted nd flashed with MIUIPRO ROM. right now i dont know what to do, should i contact the seller? . embarassed sad cry

here is the metal fragment.
Sorry bro, but you can't blame seller for that, it's either earpiece is substandard or the 3.5mm port was a disaster waiting to happen. Let me use this medium to ask which particular earpiece you use. I believe you'll need to order for a new port or speaker, or both.

It dropped into a bucket of water 2 months ago with a cracked screen which led to a black/blank screen so I just packed it after drying it in uncooked rice as you guys advised bank then. I later patiently waited for the replacement screen and when it eventually came, " fixing it, I realised People couldn't hear me when I make calls. I took it back to the engineer who fixed the screen but after tinkering with it for a day, he returned it saying he had fine all he could and I had resolved to either order for a new mouthpiece or sell the phone off but unfortunately for me, I tested it again yesterday night, first with a hands-free and then without love, and it started working fine
Maybe droplets of water were still inside, it's good to be back and running.

1. Please recommend an official stable miui for me.
2. What Data size will it take for an upgrade to Android 7.0?
Your phone might even come with Android 7. So long your phone comes with any version of the Global stable rom, it is official and as well stable.
