gykes: I see...
Oga, I will jejely wait till I'm sure of what to do. Meanwhile, do you know how I can reach Xiaomi head office? They've refused to confirm my bootloader unlock request since Sunday.
I want to sue somebody for the delay. I know a good lawyer here in AbJ - Honsule Just open dispute, afterall this na page 1900, very swift response . |

gykes: In other words, the lazyflasher thingy affects only Mido? Can't verify for others, but surely affected my own mido. |

gykes: And the confusion begins...
When 2 ogas (Gptech and Ksan) are in disagreement over lazyflasher, lemme just wait till they come to an agreed conclusion.
But I saw 2 checkbox for "keep force encryption" and "keep dm-verity" respectively in Advanced settings of that Magisk manager pic posted by Dmedalion. Seems there's a way to get past android/xiaomi security checks in Magisk. Hahahahahahahaha, no confusion, just speaking from experience, had my Redmi note 4x rooted some months back, saw different methods, bricked phone more than 5 times before trying the lazy flasher ish. What I gathered was that some persons were able to flash supersu without needing lazy flasher before a particular version of miui 8 was released. |

Dmedalion: same thing bro...for Redmi 4x users there is an AIO Toolkit for it...(no need for the adb part ) just single click on pc and it's all done automatically) Yes, there is a toolkit for Redmi note 4x too and other devices, but doesn't work for everyone for some reasons. |

kstan: Lazy flasher is not important, Bro. All Xiaomi phones that I came across were flashed and rooted successfully with the above method. Important for note 4x, unless the newer roms fixed it. |

Goodnuel: Yes.. The music stops after playing for a while in the background, how do I turn it off?? Ok, do this instead. Go to settings - Battery - Manage aops's battery usage - choose apps - select the music player (or any other app you don't want to be stopped at the background) - no restriction. Alternatively, locking the app is a faster way of doing it, just tap the multi task button, and swipe the app down to lock it. |

Just dey smile reading some comments, I kw say some ppl don already dey fear to update to miui 9, make una update na . Well, no need to be scared. After updating its normally advisable (not compulsory) to do a factory reset, just incase there are one or two bugs. Another way (I prefer this, because it saves me the stress of backing up and transferring +installing my data back to my phone) is to download the rom manually and keep a copy of it. You'll need the copy to reflash the rom in case you encounter bugs. This method ensures you don't waste data in re-downloading the rom. |

Goodnuel: Please, someone should tell me the best music player to use with my note4x... I don't like the shuffling style of the default music player.. And others apps I have downloaded stops playing after a short while.. You can try poweramp or black player. If what you meant is that the music stops playing after a while in the background, then it's as a result of miui optimisation, it kills apps running in the background after sometime to save ram. You can either turn off miui optimisation for the player or lock it while in use, let's hear from your end . |
