swagkingcole: So you're telling me now that the midrange RN5 is unworthy of the SD660? Yes it's not, otherwise who do you think will go for the Mi note 3 for such a hefty price? Unless you want them to price the Redmi note 5 above $300, that is never going to happen. |

Cassie74: No answers.....Nobody? Banggood, Gearbest, Dealsmachine, Geekbuying, are all good, but for me Aliexpress is better. Phones especially are cheaper in Aliexpress, plus better customer service, faster shipping mostly, and easier/better communication with seller. |

swagkingcole: Sd660 is midrange also and it would not be so bad to see it on the redmi note 5 Remember the redmi note 3 runs with sd650. Xiaomi doesn't think so, the S660 is more than a midrange, very close to the S820 and is 'flagship worthy'. |

swagkingcole: Lol Well, The leak on Weibo and other sites outlines dual camera, sd660 and 18:9 screen So i'm saying Amen along with it. We always like to say amen too but u kw whr the Mi 6 plus hide put since? Na only leaks we take see am. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 8:27pm On Oct 16, 2017 |
Protein0: How I wish they can just add band 28,, fast charge and upgrade the camera of note 4 small, in a different design then name it note 5. Note 4 has specs of a midrange device stretched already, imo. Of course, they'll likely improve the camera abit, the Redmi Note 4 is so solid that making any form of improvement might rub off on some other offerings, they are trying to operate on monopoly. This is where we need competition, chai, LEeco, where art thou? |

fibonacci2526: I really hope lei jun has got a real look at the Huawei mate 10 cos that's how to do a flagship imo. Enough of this 1080p on LCD as that's is so 2014. You are right, let's just hope they make the switch. But the Huawei mate 10 pro is still 1080p, on top an Amoled screen that looks more like a disaster in sharpness . Looks ironically that the mate 10 should have been called the pro. |

Demour: Just downloaded miui 9 for Xiaomi mi max 2 and i haven't upgraded before and still on stable rom miui 8.5 stable 8.5.2.0(NDDMIED) I don't know how to upgrade it Ensure you backup important files on a memory card, pc, or any other external storage. Copy the rom into the internal memory of your device in a folder you should name downloaded_rom (you don't need to create another one if it's already there), then go to the updater app, tap the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, choose update package, the scroll down to the folder, 'downloaded_rom ', and tap on the rom. Update with begin automatically, don't stop it till it's completed, takes around 15 mins. Ensure you switch on data during the process. |

Acidosis: Thanks bro
I would have considered this too but the intended user is very particular about sleekness, good picture/screen quality and aesthetics, more reason I thought about those two mi a1 & the Gr5. The xiaomi a1, like the iPhone 8, is only 7.3mm thick.. The Gr5 is 8mm thick.
But I agree with you on the processor issue... but I'm not sure whether it is good enough for the cost (about 83k) If you are particular about sleekness, why not get the Mi 5? The Huawei is a bad choice for me, and what's the difference in sleekness between Redmi note 4x? The Huawei is 0.3mm slimmer but is longer and wider than the Xiaomi by same 0.3mm, making it even bulkier. |

iamleumas: How much can I get the note 4x in Nigeria? You wait for within 3 weeks to get it delivered, around 54k for the 3gig ram, 32gig rom version(gold or pink colour, other colours are more expensive), if you want it faster say within a week, then you spend more, around 60k or slightly more. |

iamleumas: Thanks so much for your contributions!!
But I still find it difficult to choose between the two phones.. Here are my problems for now
INFINIX NOTE 4 (2gb/16gb memory, 4,300mah, 5.7 HD) -I heard it develops charging issues on the long run -I heard that the battery drain faster sometimes
XIAOMI REDMI 4X (2gb/16gb memory, 4,000mah, 5.0 HD) -Where can I repair the phone/ buy it's spare parts in case it get spoilt - is it possible to return the phone in case it has let's say hardware issues after few days of usage?
Please advise me...
oodua1stson Kk4 1afrika abumeinben Toheeb041 Gptech styles71 pharmtasy Mckandre Paxziano skino4united OluCypher Dexter247 RAJrifik ray48 For the Infinix, it's a new device, I don't believe anyone has used it long enough for it to develop charging issues, don't use a defect of one device to generalise for others. For the Xiaomi, you can return it even after like 2 weeks of purchase. As for the parts you can get them from AliExpress and get them fixed here by any technician. I have ordered more than three different screens for different individuals without any stress or any ish. Also others have replaced their mouth piece, charging port, fingerprint scanner, and batteries. |
