Godvilla: They'll fix it only if we lodge a bug report in the MI Global forum app. So many reports on Mi forum since last year, but nothing done so far, let's keep bugging them with the reports, they need to fix this in miui 9. |

Godvilla: I haven't experienced any low volume wahala.... Its already there, unboxed about 5 Mi Max, note this volume is in comparison to other Redmi series. Miui actually distorted the volume via updates, they will hopefully fix that. |

Godvilla: I use player pro, I prefer it to the default music player. Yeah, most of us don't even use the stock player, but am talking of the low volume in the Mi max, that even third party players cannot rectify. |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 11:51pm On Apr 21, 2017 |
Hope we know say nr b class 10 b d highest rating? Well class 10 is good for basic use on phones and other devices, but when you see numbers like 1 or 3 written inside the letter U on a memory card, know it is way faster than your normal class 10. Infact they are all class 10 because they are rated using 10mb/s transfer speed as standard, so when you see 10 written, it actually means download speed of 10mb/s, while 3 written inside of letter U means download speed of 30mb/s.

Mi Max users, I believe there is a bug affecting the volume of your device, hopefully they fix it when Miui 9 finally launches. Reviews from Gsmarena shows the Mi max is loud but was shocked to experience otherwise when I got the first unit. Anyway, just found out today that the Mi Max is actually as loud as other Redmi note series or even louder, when playing music via headphones. The only way to test for this loudness is to use the stock music player, and also disable Mi sound Enhancer. For best results, restart the music player after disabling Mi sound Enhancer. |

MizMyColi: I know someone who bought an E-series Nokia for over 110k.
You need to study the business environment at the time.
If Tecno was38k then, it means that bigger brands were selling x3 IN NIGERIA.
But now, everyone is looking to get quality at cheap price.
You can also notice that tecno cut back on price too. Cos going by exchange rate and the 38k you bought your F7 in 2013, the phantom 6 should be well over 150k in 2016...if they had continued with that trend.
Camon Cx was 70k flatttt when it came out. But since dollars hit 360, we can see some shops selling for 65k....
What about iPhone. I read a thread where we were shown what it originally costs to build an iPhone. Well we all can testify to the final cost.
I am not comparing.
My own is....whether price or dollar increase. I understand o. But I am strongly convinced that when it comes to specs, Tecno can do better and we will get there.
Mtn operated with so much cost and we consumers paid for it. Rumors have it that they charged us high cos they had to settle some people at the top.
But today, Mtn is one of the cheapest with even better network reception.
Tecno is getting there too. Say Amen if you believe. Didn't actually need the economic schooling part, but you can see that the dollar increment affecting Tecno over pricing of their phones is invalid, because it is not directly proportional in anyway as you rightly highlighted. |
Phones › Re: What You Should Know About Buying Phones From Aliexpress by Gptech(m): 10:47pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
MizMyColi: Please, which phone was that? I would really like to know.
Bro, let us tell ourselves the truth. Because we are an import dependent economy...dollar rate is everything. Everything. Did I just hear you say the Phantom 6 is pegged at $300? Now don't blame people when they call it trashy because with similar specs, even more expensive brands like Lenovo don't sell above $180. |
Phones › Re: What You Should Know About Buying Phones From Aliexpress by Gptech(m): 10:41pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
MizMyColi: You people are being unreasonable. Gioneeand Tecno and any device with such specs will sell at that price if they are in Nigeria.
The price of everything increased 100 percent. Phantom 6 was pegged at 300 dollars.
In the good days, when dollar was 150, that's 45k. Running cost is high. It will affect price of product and services. No maam, the truth is that Tecno and co because very very greedy! I remembered buying two phantom F7 abi F9 in 2013 for 38k. Please someone should remind us what the exchange rate was then. If the phantom 6 plus' price is indeed affected by the exchange rate the way you claim today, then the exchange rate as @ today is actually over #600/$ right? Even Gionee is overpriced in India and other parts of the world just as it is in Nigeria, so what's your point? |
Phones › Re: What You Should Know About Buying Phones From Aliexpress by Gptech(m): 10:27pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
MizMyColi: Well, can you show me a picture from this 4a device and let me show you one from my Cx.
The beautifying hype about Camon Cx camera lives true to its name.
I can prove that.
Can you prove yours? You know you haven't seen any Xiaomi phone in reality. I have handled most Tecno devices, trust me, I don't do mouth comparison, watch out for real life hands on. |
Phones › Re: What You Should Know About Buying Phones From Aliexpress by Gptech(m): 10:24pm On Apr 20, 2017 |
MizMyColi: On the contrary they are the ones who call my beloved phantom 6 crap when they don't even have an inkling of what the carton smells like.
The only issue I have with tecno is cost. But I no too blame them. Everything in Nigeria has put money. Everything. Lwkmd, but you know they speak the truth about the CRAP thing, who sells a phone with a mediocre Mediatek Helio P10 for over 80k, except Gionee ? Even the outdated Xiaomi redmi note 2 with Mediatek Helio X10 outperforms it, so don't blame them for calling the Phantom 6 crap. |

For the price, specs and performance i will categorically say xaiomi tick the box for me! Mizmycoli... Next time when you try to promote a brand don't do it by showcasing the competitors weakness... Aliexpress is safe n people get refunds on transactions that goes sour! My apologies if i have at any point sound insulting... I don't mean to(well i don't think i did) *Off to xaiomi thread! Don't call that performance abeg, those quad core 1.1 to 1.5 ghz? chicwoman: You people are just showing Nairalanders that you are Xiaomi marketers shey you know? You have an opportunity to engage people reading this thread about Xiaomi but instead you insult people I've not learnt anything about Xiaomi, just hearing the name for the first time today First, I don't insult people Second, we don't do marketing, no one pays us. Third, Xaiomi don't need you, if you buy or not no problem. Lastly, we are our brothers' keepers, and so will not advise anyone on something they will regret. Quality speaks for itself. |
