Are you even listening to yourself In a sane society how will you leave your kids at the age of 4 to gi learn how to fend for themselves because your dick is too busy making kids you cant care for ?? Mr man I dont think you have a child if not you wont be talking like this and if you infact have a child already then you should be ok the government watchlist, sending your kids away at age 4 or even 8 or 10 self is pure stvpidity and nonsense , your kids especially your male kids needs to learn a lot from you. Learn how to be a man from their father and not learn how to beg money from strangers or be forced in a stupid prayer drilling or koranic as you call it. I hope my kids and your kids never cross path... just saying . No hard feelings

Well, I wish you well but try to discern things before rushing to conclude. I stayed in the north and am just trying to give you a clue on what the Islamic school is all about etc. Am not even a Muslim or an Hausa man am a Yoruba man. Anyways, see you at the top. And my kids and yours will Cross path at the top insha Allah.

PS am not married so I don't HV a child yet and learn to take a chill pill to understand peoples point of view and respect it. Mugode baba

In my opinion. I think the parents are hiding something, because how will your child be in an institution and you wont be able to see him or her at freewill ? The parents know something

No that's the way it works. The almajiri or yaro like we call them up north might leave as far as sokoto for kaduna at the age of 4 and will be sent to Islamic school to become future imams etc even though most of them do learn a trade as well. They fend for their set in the day and go back to the school at night where they sleep after the night prayer drill. In the morning again around 8 they will leave the school and go fend for their sef which ever way. While some pple think its a bad idea, I actually see some good side in it. It teaches the kids responsibility at a tender age. Its only the males that go to the so called Islamic school while the females stays at home to learn the role of a woman.

Though this particular school went berserk by chaining the legs of the kids etc. But the almajiri thing to me is a good one where most kids learn responsibility at a young age though it has its bad side as well. And less I forget after some years, they will graduate and become Alfas. Then they can go home to meet there parents. Though they go during festive seasons too.

I'd say, Honda is for those who know how to maintain and enjoy a car while Toyota is for those who do not know how to maintain and just want to go from point a to b without listening to any sound the car makes.

Let me gist you about the "Shaft no good mechanic".

My neighbor got a clean 08 Corolla few months back. Fast forward, he sees my young mechanic fixing my car at home most times on Sundays so he asked for his number. Mechanic came, test drove the car for the noise complain and the verdict was a toasted shaft (outer CVT joint) due to torn shaft boots. There was wheel hub bearing noise too. Very clean tokumbo car needed well over 50k in parts but my guy said no way. Mechanic earlier complain of the guy's stingy attitude so he was all out to rip the guy off.

Mechanic proposed to grease the bearing and shaft then replace the boots for an inflated cost.

The fatal mistake my neighbor did was not knowing how repair processes should go and would not seek my advise since i know more about cars than him which he never admits. I came out of my house to meet the mans 2 complete driving shaft on the ground. A job I will never allow on my car knowing the car was test driven less than 5mins ago. Pulling out the Inner CVT joint when the transmission is hot is known to damage the transmission.

My neighbor's car has gone from an irritating shaft to a failing transmission. From the moment I saw this mans drive shaft out of the transmission, I knew this man don buy market. He told me yesterday, "my car refuses to change gear". I said to myself, "Aha".

From how you type, I can conclude you know a lot about what goes in your hood not just the car type. Imagine a total lame man like me who does not even know how the stuffs work. Thank God for Technology that brought about scanner if not, God knows I would HV taking my car to shaft no good taya. Coz the little stuffs I feel I know about car is what I observe and hear from the mechanic guys.

Perhaps OP is a guy like me who knows little about cars though I never cease to ask and learn from peoples experience.

Enjoy ur Honda bro but God knows I will never go back to Honda to avoid stories that touches the wallet. Toyota product or Benz all the way.

as a matter of fact there came a time with that Babyboy coupe that year that if am tryna navigate a round about I won't turn the steering to the fullest I had to drive like its no power steering thanks to the so called and almighty SHAFT. And other times I need to make a reverse just to navigate a little junction if not I will hear that kraaaaaa sound. am on Canaan now no going back to Egypt unless its a keep sake.

I drive through all the kind of bad roads you can possibly imagine.

2ndly, i have a good maintenance habit but I am not the "throw in new parts guy". I have managed some of my out of spec suspension parts without replacing for years and still did not have a break down since 2013. My ball joints are still factory OEM, my shock absorber, shafts, upper arm are still factory OEM. What i have replaced are tie rod ends, stabilizer linkage, bushings and 1 of the upper arm's ball joint.

Let me assure you that the day i buy a new chinko ball joint to install in my car, I will expect the pull from that day onwards. For now, I still drive up till my comfortable 160km/h limit with complete trust that no pull out will happen.

Wow well I guess you understand your machine better. I used to enjoy my mum 2002 coupe during my teenage days. The car did me burouba mechanic will always find a fault in it. Either I hear noise on the legs or something similar. It was so frustrating and the car turned into tax collector on mum and I. She decided getting a Nigerian used bull Dog afterwards and same problem like the mechanic will say SHAFT NO GOOD. we did all we can until the car pack up. We had to sell them off to the mechanic later on to safe face. I got a Camry aroumd october 2017 and I have never had an issue with it. Though there came a time I had a little problem but someone on Nairalander talked about car scanner which I bought. And I scan the angel periodically even if no light comes on on the dash board. And the testimony is HV never had a better yesterday testimony with the car.

That's my reason for advising op not to opt for Honda. I was speaking totally from experience

Yes, I use Honda right from the 1986 model (my 1st car) till now and never had a leg pull.

Just like you have never had the mentioned issues with your camry and I never had your mentioned issues with my Accords, it doesn't mean both cars do not come with their generic issues.

We can only discuss them objectively.

And if I may ask where do you stay and how good is the road leading to your place. 2ndly, what kinda management do you do on it (talking about maintenance)

Alright then you made your point. But one is more prone to a leg pull than the other. Does thus sounds good? Basically Honda is prone to leg pull than Toyota product

I do not know what just as it comes mean, but my comment has nothing to do with sentiment

for my own peace of mind,my own night travel, and general reliability, I will do the accord 08 over the Camry 08

emphasis on the year.....not baby boy vs tiny light

I am surprised that you have used different cars long enough to have known what "shaft" is and clearly specify.

Funny enough the 2008 Accord has the strongest transmission and suspension compared to all its predecessors and even the 2008 Camry itself.

The Camry has more transmission issues, more strut issues, more AC issues.

Well..... I havent had any of the above mentioned issues with my Camry. Talking of the Honda. The leg is the main issue. And do you use an Honda? Or have you used one?

Dear nairalander.
I need help on getting a new car foreign used especially. I want a 2006 Toyota Tacoma double cab for my every day movement. I currently farm and the road not too good for my saloon car. Anyone with knowledge on how I can proceed a Taco, and its price. And do anyone recommend buying it from the port instead of asking for someone to buy for me?

Bro I will advise you not to take the words here hook, line and sinker.... Am talking from experience. No one really cares, they just wanna feather their own nest and before you know it they will start telling you theyve got one etc... Do this bro, Go to Kijini.ca. that's how I got a car for my mum was thinking of swapping my Camry then for a venza or zdx or buying a new one for mum but all the folks who gave advise their just spoke from their business mind not church mind until I met a friend offline who put me through since his a dealer. Go to kijiji.ca . its a Canadian site where you can buy cars etc. Search Ontario A-Z. For the car you want. You will see the search icon there. Search for the car you will see different Tacoma. Don't forget its Canadian dollar so its lower to US dollar. If you have a friend in Canada let him visit where the car his do a test drive etc and if not you can meet a very good dealer to help you ship the car home. That way you are on top of your game. Good luck bro....

And if I may add it I was able to bring a Venza home for around 1m lesser than the Nigerian price using this way.

Good luck sir.

BMW is the ultimate driving machine,

it hardly gets engine problem, people say that BMs always consume fulel but i'm sorry to say not all BMs consume fuel,

the BMW 328 1995 has a MPG of 35, that is higher than an Honda accord 1992, with MPG of 30,

the newer ones are even more fuel efficient, funny enough its only the sporty BMW cars that consume 25 MPG, and an acceleration of 8 seconds from 0 to 100km, !!! that is crazy, believe me, the 1995 BMW 325i coupe does that, its even faster than 2004 3 series,

well its the nigerian road that causes the parts problem in a BMW especially the suspension, damn, !! those things are expensive,

but engine perfomance is the best,

The best cars in the world is only BMW,

BM 4 ever

Bro have used an Honda.. I enjoyed my teenage years with a 2002 Honda coupe. The issue with Honda is the shaft or is it leg they call it. A friend of mine have the coupe version of that 2008 and we were going to saki (Oyo state) from Jaji Kaduna.. Immediately we reached between Iseyin and Ibadan due to the bad road the shaft came off clean. We had to park at one village called cherubium or something to toll it later on.. I ply same route with my Camry few months ago and ohhh men it was like can't even find a better way to say it.... Bottom line, don't know abt 2012 Honda but most honda cara ain't meant for Nigerian roads.

Camry all the way bro... I haven't used an Honda 2008, but I have a Camry. And HV used an Honda 2002 coupe way back then. HV also used an Honda bull dog and I can tell most Hondas do have issues with the shaft. If the road linking your home and other movement ain't so bad (which I doubt co dz z Nigeria) you can opt for Honda. But if not, hug that Camry and enjoy every pleasure she's got to give you.
Been using my Camry since 2017 and I can tell I haven't gotten any big issue with it. Though I run diagnostic at intervals even when no light comes up.
Car Talk / Re: My Avalon Having Issues by Gracesofar(m): 11:38am On Sep 29, 2019
Forget the assumption bro, get a car scanner and find a way to decode it. I had issues with my Camry some months back and after much assumption from different angle I decided to opt for the scanner and it didn't cost me much to fix it perfectly after decoding the issue.

Well, it depends on the intent of his heart. Let's not judge so easily. If he does it to glorify God good and fine but I doubt it from how he keeps gyrating and trying to beat his goons in the best zanku moves. More reason I don't attend all this so called churches that uses drums etc. Its only during worships they genuinely worship God once its praise, it turns Into a competition of the best moves and the best instrumentalist.

I'd rather stay at home if a deeper life or Apostolic faith is out of reach

Mine is the reason I came this far.
Like 11 years ago or so. After secondary school,I wanted getting admission to Nda and I kept trying. After 4 years I still haven't gotten it or had anything to show after ssce and I was 20+. I had an argument with my sister who was doing her MSC and had a good job. She is older than me with just 2 years and a year senior in secondary school.
The argument degenerated into something. And I remembered her telling me upon all your years in life you have nothing to show for it. Just Ssce well all fingers won't be equal though. out of 4 of us kids, if 3 becomes something big its an A to mum. Men it was an uppercut. I got the admission the following year. And those words motivates me to finish the NDA compendium 8 times within a 2 month time frame that served as a catalyst to getting my admission. And my best song then was WHEN AM BACK ON MY FEET AGAIN BY MICHEAL BOLTON grin
