Yes, rescued the Ruble but lets be sincere give me the choice of Ruble or USD or even GBP or Euro the Russian Ruble will be the least of my choice and many of us.

Putin is evil. His invasion of Ukraine is a failure and has cost massive loss of lives. All because of his ego and greed and lust for power. What he has destroyed lives and properties is priceless.

I pray Nigeria's neighbours do not behave like Putin. If countries have issues let them learn to talk.

One leasson learnt is Nigeria and every country needs to have a strong army . Would Russia have invaded USA if USA was their neighbour or would Putin have invaded Ukraine if Ukraine was militarily strong? But e shock them.

Children have died. Let him fight USA or BRitain or even China because they offended him or a threat to him. He wont. Putin is a cowa

You analysis should be let the Americans, Brits, etc attack Russia for attacking Ukraine. Do we now say the Western countries are cowards like Zelenksy tagged them
Travel / Re: Why Did You Leave Lagos? by grandlexuz(m): 2:42pm On Apr 05, 2022

I was raised in lagos. Lagos was good during my youth years. Then the express was filled with cars on high speed till brt came and caused current traffic. Lagos was really cool. Then I left to complete my HND in delta. At first I didn't like the idea of migration, I was always boasting about lagos. When I returned during fashola 2nd tenure I spotted lots of differences. Traffic was hell, dirt all over and the air didn't seem fresh like it used to.
Its was still better then. Now e don worse. Lastma, holdup, abgero(owo da). I hate driving in lagos one day I drove from sheraton to computer Village with a flat tyre. Fear no let me part change am.
Cost of rent is another dimension. I currently live in delta, my rent is 180k for a self contain with lots of cool features (large parking space, fully fenced, water heater, mighty wardrobe and is located in a cool civilised area. Just imagine Maryland with modern houses. If its lagos for a house like that will cost around 360 to 500k.

Any time I visit lagos I always can't wait to leave cuz its a hell hole. Life is complex and expensive. I find it hard to believe its the same lagos u grw up. Person dey lag dey earn pass me but the wahala of Lagos made me look like i earn more than he does. And the traffic is worse. U can't have a flat tyre and have peace of mind. Where I am if u have a flat tyre there's always some passer by thats willing to assist but for lagos just park to receive call (owo da) boys will storm u with threats. Lagos is fuucked

When you talk of 180K rents is it per year or monthly?

Osinbajo was the one chairing the meeting, that's why it went the way it did. If it was President Buhari chairing the meeting it would have been approved by now.

All that leaked Memo bullshit is coming out from the Osinbajo camp to save face. If truly there were issues, why then did President Buhari Order immediate implementation after the blast and kidnap?

We know Osinbajo and Tinubu are very scared of the rising profile of Rt Hon Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and they are really worried he is growing in leaps and bounds! Na una go shame Las Las.

You failed to pick the vitals of the article which makes alot of sense to the average man. The award for the contract was lacking in alot of details. Lack of competence for the awarded company in both financial power and technical know how. Absence of adequate information on equipments needed, installation process, after sales etc. Unfortunately you preferred to support Amaechi along party or ethnic lines. Shame!

Why does Europe still have more than 10 slots?

Cos their teams are highly rated. Same reason the Premier League contributes 4 teams to the Champions League while some European nations only have a spot.

That Algeria and Cameroon game is the definition of "it is not over until it is over"
What a heart wrenching heart break for Lageria at home. If Nigeria had lost this way, after winning the away leg, what happened in Abuja would have been child's play.

Football ain't scripted.

Like most people suffering from chronic anxiety I couldn't watch live pictures of the game prefering to google the score line periodically as the match unfolded.. Lol I live in a quiet environment at such the first goal at the 22nd minute wasn't evident. (Normally jubilant cries from neighbours should indicate a goal). To my relieve googling at the 37th minute indicated we were a goal ahead and heads on aggregate.

Uneasily I kept googling, hoping for a second goal that should automatically carry us to Qatar. When I checked at the 116th minute it was obvious we were headed for a tie and consequently penalty shootouts. To my greatest shock googling at the 120+2 indicated the Algerians had scored at the 118th minute. Imagine my disappointment..

That was it for the night as I tried to distance my thoughts away from football and a Qatar absence. Naturally I would have retired to bed but prefered to distract a little with my phone. Five minutes later I noticed jubilant memes on the status of most of my contacts. This should be a night of mourning I sighed, so why is everyone celebrating. Then I inquired from a contact and got the shock of the evening. Cameroon had scored at the the 124th minute. I couldn't believe. A true replay of the third placed AFCON match with Burikina Faso. Only this time the joy was overwhelming...One of those nights where I can gladly express my pride as a Cameroonian ..Allez les Lions...

Sports / Re: Why Are African Teams Forced To Play The Play-offs Despite Topping Group? by grandlexuz(m): 12:40am On Mar 30, 2022
It makes no difference actually. CAF has 5 allocated spots and recently most of it's members have become very competitive. Small island nations like Comoros do put up a good challenge. Sierra Leone, Gambia etc now posses excellent squad.

Consequently instead of putting 5 groups of 8 countries with lengthy allez et retour matches, its better 10 groups of 4 lessen the process and winners proceed to a play off. The process is only now questionable to most Nigerians cos the didn't qualify..Lol

Sports / Cameroon Scores At Stoppage Time To Qualify For Qatar (2-1) by grandlexuz(m): 11:58pm On Mar 29, 2022
It's been jubilation in Cameroon after the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon edge pass the Algerians at stoppage time to qualify for Qatar 2022.

After succumbing to a 1-0 defeat 4 days ago in Douala, the Lions maintained a 1-0 lead in Algiers from the 22nd minute through Choupo Moting. Extra time brought more drama when the Algerians equalised at the 118th minute only to fall to a Karl Toko Ekambi winner at stoppage time.

Proud to be a Cameroonian...

Me too!

But it takes just a thin line to cross the Rubicon.

I remember it vividly, August 18, some years back. I would have become a prisoner on life or death sentence, committing murder trying to protect the one person that means the entire world to me. In a moment of untamed rage, I would've killed him. I remember him telling me on our way to the hospital, that if he doesn't make it, I should tell his family another story and not what happened so they don't taunt me. Yes, he loved me that much and I crazily love him too. Sending me to prison wouldn't even be anything. What I wouldn't be able to live with is the agonising, painful memories that I destroyed the one thing that I cherish.

For these young ladies too, some of their stories could be similar to mine. Emotions need to be tamed so one doesn't end up a criminal. Prior to my incidence I haven't even been to a police station. Whew! That's how I'd have been a jailbird but thank God he survived. That incidence changed me. No more anger fits.
Thank God for grace.

Wow...Are you guys still together?
