The reason that road is always a nightmare is the attitude of the commercial bus driver. I gat investment in that part of lagos, so you can't come here and bambooze with your lies.

oldenglish: It's laughable when you mention stadium as development. What is the need of stadium for any state govtment in NIGERIA? The Olympic stadium built by British govt for the Olympics has just been sold to west ham united cos they have no use for it after the conclusion of the Olympics. Lets take Akwa Ibom state for eg, who will make use of that stadium when completed. How much will they make to pay staff and manage/maintain the stadium. Same goes for Rivers state. Playing one or two national match in 3 yrs add little or nothing to those stadia. Have you asked yourself why National Stadium is in the state of disrepair and ABJ stadium as well unless Fed pump in money to repair it once in a while.

Apart from Lagos and ABJ developed by the fed every other state capital in Nigeria is the same.

There is no much diff among the govs in Nigeria. You hear of little developments going close to where you are cos of their proximity to Lagos media. Beleive me all those little development goes on in other part of the country with little or no media attention. Did you notice that Honeywell supposed investment in Abia was publicised, are you telling me no such investment have happened in Abia since Orji? Absolutely no. If you go to Osisioma Industrial Area many plants springs up here and there but you would not read about them in the print media. Same for Nnewi.

What you could have stated is SE people don't advertisement product the way others do which isn't good for them cos if dont blow your trumpet nobody will do that for you. Look at Innoson for example, have you seen any billboard or tv advert for his products especially car section.

That said Elechi, Orji and Rochas has no reason being a state governor.
God bless you my brother

Orlando Owoh: If the yardstick Afam pointed at is anything to go by, Osun State qualifies to be one of the states he is asking the five governors to learn from. Afam cited building of airports - Osun is building one, in fact with the longest run way in Nigeria.
You mean building on the page of newspaper?

eggheaders: No talking down on the igbos. The southeast is a kinda big hellhole, the worst road I have travelled all my life is the Onitsha -enugu expressway. The solution to the problem maybe for you lots to stay in your region and ask your leaders questions. And again politically most igbos seems to be less concern all na business and business, get to Ibadan even shoemakers will analyze political issues that will make a professor of political science look like a joke. I think its high time y'all gat to get involve in the politicking of alaigbo.
You mean that Lagos badagry express or even ore that people used to sleep for days before getting to their destination is better than Onitsha - Enugu expres?
Have you ever ply Lagos Ibadan express way before?

TribalEAST: yes, most times. How can you call ngige an eful.efu because he works with APC, a party they also branded yoruba party when they ought to be building bridges and forming alliances?
And Ngige is not part of decay? Where did he build his airport or his world trade center in his three years as governor, even his 2 and half years as a senator is a waste.

The money that would have been used to improve the facilities has been diverted to buy chieftaincy titles by Asiwaju, burial of Asiwaju mama & installing Asiwaju’s daughter as Iyaloja of Lagos. Asiwaju, his wife, his daughter, his son inlaw & his mama in the grave are still on Lagos state salary. So what remains again.

APC, Please relocate your Secretariat to INEC office in Abuja and probably choose someone from your party to replace Professor Jega so that Nigerians will have peace. We are tired the same press releases everyday. One thing is very clear APC will not use intimidation to win elections where they don’ t have strong hold. South East and South South is not your strong ur hold for now until your party sell itself as good prodcut to purchase/buy. It is as simple as that. May be with time you can make some inroad to those region if you work hard, deal on issues and sell your manifestos if you have any. All these period your party wasted to woo the Rebel Governors could have been used to campaign and sell yourself. To be frank with you your impact have not been felt in SS/SE. If you continue in this way you may loose more supporters and 2015 will be disaster for APC.As for me I do not have faith in all the political parties in Nigeria and wish that the National conference will be a new beginning to address the ills of this country and if the ills refused to die, we will help to bury it alive so that reincarnation of new country will emerge in various form and sizes

Is there any hope in this nation?

NOVEMBER 20, 2013 BY EMMANUEL OBE, AWKA
Two women fainted while several others were injured when security agents dispersed about 300 women protesting the Anambra State governorship election on Wednesday at the state office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Awka. The women, who identified themselves as Anambra Women, called for the cancellation of the election and the discontinuation of the supplementary election called by INEC at a yet-to-be-announced date. They carried placards with the inscription, ‘Anambra not for sale’, ‘No election was conducted in Anambra’, ‘Fresh poll not supplementary poll’, ‘INEC cancel 608,000 votes not 113, 113 votes’, among others. The women were dispersed by security operatives attached to INEC office, who fired teargas canisters into their midst, leaving many of the elderly women wounded while two persons fainted. One of their leaders, Mrs. Tina Akonobi, said they were at the commission’s office to “mourn for the disaster, destruction, doom, robbery and fraud that took place on the November 16.” Akonobi added, “The election was a sham aimed at insulting the integrity, intelligence and intellectual ability of the people of the state and Nigeria in general. “INEC brought a fraudulent register three days to election where they removed names of voters whose name starts with the letter ‘O’ like Okonkwo and Okeke at Idemili. “They brought fraudulent people to conduct election here; it was a scam and destruction of a generation and Igbo land. “We are calling for the cancellation and resignation of Prof. Attahiru Jega for the doom that is impending because this is what will happen in 2015.”  http://www.punchng.com/news/two-faint-many-injured-in-anambra-women-police-clash/

Bad belle Yorubas. Nothing will happen to Oduah until Bank-ole and the ota baboon accounts for their loot. The cars were bought for official use of the aviation ministry and not for her private use. Politics › Oduahgate: Jonathan Under Pressure To Save Embattled Minister by gratiaeo(op): 6:39am On Nov 20, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan is currently under pressure to spare the embattled Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, over her role in the purchase of two bulletproof BMW cars by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, investigation by The PUNCH has revealed.
The people that are asking Jonathan to save the neck of Oduah were said to be telling the President not to mind the report of the administrative panel he set up to investigate the minister’s role in the controversial N255m luxury cars.

The panel headed by a former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Isa Bello, had submitted its report to Jonathan since last Wednesday but the President has not said anything about its content.

A source told our correspondent that a top government official from the South-East, the same geopolitical zone with the embattled minister, is currently in the forefront of the campaign to save her.

The source however did not disclose the identities of those who have been enlisted in the campaign.

He said that part of the campaign agenda had started manifesting in a section of the media where the content of the panel’s report was being speculated with a view to giving the minister an edge.

“There is no development on the matter yet because there is a lot of pressure. We know who the arrowhead of the campaign is,” the source said.

The President will be leaving the country for London in the early hours of Wednesday (today) without making a pronouncement on the issue.

He is expected back in the country during the weekend.

The delay in making pronouncement on the report is being seen as a way of buying time for the minister.

A top Presidency source had earlier told our correspondent that the President would rather base his decision on the recommendation of the panel and shun the report of the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation.

Critics at the onset had said the probe panel by Jonathan was set up to divert attention from the armoured car purchase and to also cover up the minister.
