Reasons Igbos Should NOT Marry Yorubas: 1. They’re dirty. 2.All they know how to do is party. 3. They eat too much oil. 4. Their women flirt/sleep around too much. 5. Their men will ALWAYS cheat with a Yoruba woman. 6. They are loud and obnoxious. You can hear them from a mile away. 7. They are wild. They are the real “Akata” people. 8. They are Nigeria’s problem. 9. They don’t understand the Igbo culture. 10. They do too much juju. 11. They betrayed the Igbos during the Biafran war. 12. And to top the list, they are not Igbo. |

Ogbeni Alhaji, the author of confusion, your educational policy is anarchical. You should reverse it if there is no ulterior motive. Period. I wonder why would someone create problem and waste the state resources to solve it. Anyway, deal with them the boko haram way. Its in you. |
Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has vowed to deal with those who attacked the Principal of Baptist High School, Ejigbo, Mr. Layi Oguntola. Aregbesola said the attackers would face the wrath of the law. Oguntola was beaten up by some Muslim youths who stormed his school on Monday. The attackers accused the Principal of sending away a female student for wearing the hijab but the principal has denied the allegation. The governor, who spoke at the graduation ceremony of 410 Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme cadets in Ede, warned religious organisations and youths in the state against taking the law into their hands. He said, “We will not tolerate any act of lawlessness from any group or individual, irrespective of their status. The attack on the school principal in Ejigbo is unacceptable. “No individual or group is allowed by the constitution to take laws into their hands. We won’t tolerate that. We will not treat such case with kid’s gloves and anyone caught with such uncivilised act will be made to face the law.” The governor, who blamed idleness for some social vices, told the graduating youths to realise that their training had provided them with necessary skills and empowerment to earn a decent living, create wealth, and contribute to the cause of banishing hunger through agriculture. http://www.punchng.com/news/aregbesola-vows-to-deal-with-principals-attackers/ |

What did Lucky do in Edo State?? Or, can you compare him to Lucky??The problem with APC and Yoruba is that they so much believe on media and hearsay. Have you stepped your foot in Edo state and when? Why not allow the local to voice their anger on Osho failure. |

Politicizing education, very bad! ASUU is biting more than it can chew. There is politics behind the strike. Well, if the minister has the strong ribs to stand his decision, so be it. Just open the door for employment of new lecturers. There are many Masters and PhD holders in the country that are jobless. This may be opportunity for them to actualize their dreams. Advertise for recruitment of new lecturers and you will see the problem solved, at least for now. |
BY SEGUN OLATUNJI, ABEOKUTA The Ogun State Government on Thursday raised the alarm over the increase in the number of persons living with the HIV/AIDS virus across the state. The government said the number of persons infected with the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the state had risen to 400,000. This year, the figure of persons living with the deadly virus has increased by 100,000 compared to the rate in 3012 while the current rate of prevalence stands at 3.1 per cent. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Olaokun Soyinka, who said this on Thursday in Abeokuta at a news conference to herald this year’s World Aids Day, stated that the irregular and unstable pattern of the prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS in the state since 1996 clearly showed that “we are not winning the war against HIV/AIDS”. Soyinka however assured the people that the government had not relented in its aggressive fight against the virus in all areas, including education, sensitisation, HIV testing and counseling and provision of antiretroviral drugs. http://www.punchng.com/news/aidshiv-prevalence-rises-by-100000-in-ogun-commissioner/ |
