I have never seen a place where people reject religion as hard as the school was trying to push it, like Covenant University.

One of my class mates in 200 level who relocated to University of Waterloo, Canada after having an extra year(academic reasons) told me he was never going to church again. In his words "All of the church I have attended here is enough to cover for my life time." That statement hit me hard!
I only know how many arguments about God's existence I made in that school. And each time most of these Atheist argue I see Christians fleeing. It's like they are more knowledgeable than the average Christian. Which is very unfortunate!

During NYSC days many CU grads refused to affiliate with NCCF because they see it like another version of Covenant University.

With all of the rules and all it was still Covenant University that graduated Etinosa - the one who stripped on live IG.

And this is a lesson to Christians. Christianity must never be forced on people, it always blows back! The inquisition and many other errors of the church are proofs that it never works. Christianity must always be a choice...

I think the problem is the foundation of the children.

The parents failed in their part and they are trying to cover that up by sending the children to CU.
However, I think it's too early to conclude that CU had failed in this regard. What I see now is initial reaction which is expected.
I'm sure over time they will come around, though maybe not all of them.

To achieve that, he needs to first of all see himself as a baby that need to grow up very quickly.

He is not the first to find himself in such circumstances so it's not a big issue if he is willing to change.

Let him get some self some help books (Success Through Positive Mental Attitude, THE SUCCESS SYSTEM THAT NEVER FAILS, etc) and attend churches where issues relating to marriage are taught at least once a month.

In-addition the two of you should visit an experienced and certified marriage counselor. (A lot of Pastors are not qualified as one)

There are advantages and disadvantages.

You should weigh the options.

First, it has to do with the family. If they are the understanding and matured type they will always respect your privacy and no one will intrude.

Secondly their closeness to the land may safe you some headache during your building construction.

Thirdly while residing in the house your wife will have a more convenient place to send the kids in the event that both of you may need to go places together.

I am not seeing this as the only building you will have and as such in the event situation warrant you moving far in the future then you can always move and do whatever you and your wife decide to do with this building.

First don't resign your job. Just look for good excuse to be out of your current job for about a month to access situation.
Before traveling for the new job, hold enough cash to fly to Nigeria incase the need arises

Before accepting the offer of the new location, try and negotiate your rotation properly. (Instead of getting 30 days leave after a year, negotiate 2 weeks to 1 months after every 3 months so you can see your parents often).

Moreover with calls and video callings feature you can better stay in touch with your parent and the loneliness will not be as your parents is making you to believe.
You can also consider marrying early to calm your parents nerve. Please choose whom to marry wisely.

Don't throw away the oversee offer however, ensure that the offer is genuine.
This is your chance and that of your parents, don't waste it.

Personally I think some things should stay betwwen couple including intending couple and top on that list is salary.
