b4 "egba tinrin" will be used, it shoud be after several warnings and talkings without positive change, my sister, im also not an advocate of pain infliction, but sometimes, u cant just help it, but use it, i use to flog, may be, once in a month, after seriously getting on my nerve. My commonest form of punishment is usually "go and sleep in ur room", but if after this, d misbehaviour continues in their rooms, then "egba tinrin" comes into it.

how many pple like to be insulted,if u are d type dt insults ur children, u are killing their morale unknowingly. D golden rule is applicable here, do unto others what u will like to be done unto u, dt they are children doesnt mean dt they are not human beings, so,no insults,pls.
However, we all know that these children can get on our nerves sometimes, so,personally,i prefer to use "egba tinrin" to call them to order, each time they seem to be very annoying, rather than insult them and kill their morale and confidence.

Abeg, age is not a barrier, if u apply 4 a job, ur duty is to do it as expected, regardless of who or how old is ur boss, we tend to lay too much emphasis on age, if u are humble, u are humble, if u are arrogant, u are arrogant, dt ur boss is younger than u is not a licence 4 u to be rude, lazy or irresponsible,respect beget respect, if u respect urself by doing d right thing at d right time, u will be respected, even by ur boss, so, in a nutshell, if ur boss is younger than u, respect yourself, and u will also be respected.

1. To my best knowledge, he is faithful to me, so, one good turn deserve another, and even, if he is d type dt does, two wrongs can never make a right.
2. Fornication/adultery/marital cheating is bad, d lord frowns at it i cant do it, i fear God's wrath.
3. I cant imagine myself unclading myself b4 another man, hhhmmm, its nauseating!
4. No other man is worthy to see my unclothedness again. I am committed to my marriage.

Paid my tithe, divided d remaning into 2,gave 1st half to my mum, divided d 2nd half into 2, used d half of it to buy something 4 my fiancee then, use d rest to buy what i really needed then.

what did u do to deserve insult?

In my own opinion, i think d vow is much closer to traditional than religious. I think its just to follow protocol, so dt there will not be an excuse or room for divorce, if d vow is not included, couples may just be getting divorce based on flimsy and ingenuine excuses, so to make d marriage more honourable and stable,d vow was introduced, and since it has now been seen that, it has a positive effect, has now been ever since included.

That been said, i think d islamic marriage do not include d vow, its only d xtianity and registry marriage that follow d tradition of d vow, which emphasises that its more of traditional than religion, because, if its religious, d islamic religion will also include d vow in their own marriage too.
Conclusively, d vow is traditional, it is used to curtail d excess of an erring partner, and it seems working to a large extent.

Ofcourse I understand we all have more than three criteria in choosing our potential life partner,but for the purpose of this thread,just your three topmost criteria.

For those who are married,what were the three topmost criteria that made you marry your spouse.


For me my 3 criteria are:

BEAUTY: She has to be beautiful
INTELIGIENCE: She has to be smart and intelligient
RELIGION: She has to be a christian,a deep one,preferably an intercessor.

1. Beauty, beauty is in d eyes of d beholder, pls focus on d inner beauty, because if u lay too much emphasis on this, it may blindfold u and preventing u from looking at more impotant things, u know what?, if somebody is well-mannered, kind and nice, she will always look good, take it.
2. Smart and intelligence, yes, i concur with u on this, i cant and dont expect u to marry a dummy or a robbot, who cant take decision on her own.
3. Religion, pls, change this to God-fearing, its possible to be religious and not be God-fearing, but if she is God-fearing, it will be so obvious on her, if a lady really like u and want u at all cost, knowing dt u are crazy about religion, she will pretend until u are both married, after which, she may start to show her real colour. Ladies, nowadays, pretends alot, in order to get what they want, so be careful, dont allow any lady use religion to rope u o, my brother, marriage, requires wisdom, dont be sentimental about it.

Obviously, its this 15yrs old girl that is taking care of this children, OMG, pls, op, take ur child asap, im begging u in d name of God dont be sentimental, because it involves church, u take ur child 1st, then u can explain later. May God help us all.

Some pple are just crazy about male child(ren), but let me ask a question, between a well-behaved girl and a stubborn/disobedient boy, which one will u prefer?between a female child who will eventually become d chief judge of a country and a male child who will eventually become an agbero, which one will u prefer.
@all, lets just trust in d Lord, and whatever he blesses us with, children inclusive, let us accept with gratitude. Im quite sure if someone has been looking forward to have a child, for a long time, he/she will not bother him/herself with d sex of d child. It is well with all of us.

Children are gifts from God, regardless of d sex of d children, just 4 them to be blessed children........shikena.
