The level of RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE of our people in the other religion is highly alarming!

may God comfort this man. I really don't know what to say, but it's very sympathetic seeing a citizen killing another fellow citizen because of religious differences.

@lalasticlala, how I wish this thread hits FP, so that we can have other people's view on this topic. Thanks.
FamilyRe: Choosing The Right Spouse: Luck Or Personal Brilliance by greatgod2012(f):
I've been thinking of this thread, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that it's a matter of luck and fate.

There are some couples who got married after about 6, 8, 9 or eben 10 years courtship, trying to know each other very well, trying to know each others immediate and extended relations very well, trying to know each others spiritual orientation very well, trying to know how to cope with each other very well. Alas, after marriage, they discovered that they ain't compatible at all, they tried to make the marriage work, but they couldn't just, something is not just right about one or both of them. At the end, they get divorced/separated. Are we going to say it's became they don't do enough screening and thorough analysis of each other? No, One or both of them is just unlucky.

And in another scenario, we see some couples who didn't even know each other before getting married. They're matchmade, they live in far distance from each other. Apart from names, they hardly know any other thing about each other, yet, when they get married, the marriage is like heaven on earth, they enjoy their marriage like no other does. They are always happy with each other, they understand each other very well. When there is disagreement, they disagree to agree, everything works perfectly in their marriage. Do we now say it's because of personal brilliance of one or both of them in choosing life partners? No, one or both of them is just lucky.

It's unexplainable how it's like that, but I believe it's one of the mysteries of life.

May God help us all.

Our politicians!
Some of our politicians are behind Boko Haram!
Some of our politicians are behind NDA!
And it's only our politicians that want to enjoy life pensions.
FamilyRe: Choosing The Right Spouse: Luck Or Personal Brilliance by greatgod2012(f):
LUCK and FATE!

I'm not saying one should not do his/her findings very well before getting married to the other person.

I'm not saying one should not engage in serious fasting and prayers when looking for partners.

I'm not saying one should not do proper and thorough investigation into the type of person and the type of family the other person is coming from.

I'm not saying one should not consider and examine the type of company the other person keeps before being considered as the right person for you.

I'm not saying it's not good to consider one's spiritual maturity of the other person before considering him/her.

I'm not saying one should not engage in careful screening, careful analysis and careful decision before getting hooked with the other person.

However, we have seen and heard about so many who did all the stated above and even more, who still ended up with marrying a devil incarnate at the end of the day, but only discovered after the legal marriage.

And we have also seen and heard about many too, who didn't do any of the above, in fact, never believed in such screening or any analysis, but got married to someone who's like an angel, and whose marriage is like heavenly paradise.

The truth is that, there are too many mysteries in this life.
One of the mysteries is...........why will a good man/woman end up with the first born of the devil.

And why will an extremely bad/wicked person get married to a good person.

If you're lucky to have a good spouse, thank your God, thank your stars and cherish him/her.

If you're unlucky to have a bad spouse, as a good person, don't blame yourself too much, take it as one of the mysteries of life, pray, communicate your worries, try to be realistic in your request from the other person, if its still bearable, continue the relationship with the mindset that he go better. But if its life threatening, you might need to save your life first because it's only when one is alive that such can remain married.

For the good person who is lucky to get married to another good person, do not think it's your doing, you're only lucky, if you doubt me, just think of that your relation, colleague, friend, uncle,, aunt, etc who are extremely good and nice people but get hooked with a bad spouse and see how lucky you are.

Let me just stop here.

One can be alone and not be lonely.

Except a person want to be deliberately lonely, there are so many things one can engage in to avoid loneliness.

--------Log in to Nairaland. com and you'll see so many real and crazy posts that will make you laugh out like a baby.
----------Log in to the Facebook and start looking at your friend's posts and pictures.
---------Register with as many social media as possible and relate with your friends.

--------Read books, comical, romance, family, adventures, motivational, crime, and so on.

---------Listen to radio.

-----------Watch television, especially comedy.

----------Offer praises and prayers. (for those who believe in God)

These are some of the things one can do when alone and do not want to be lonely.
FamilyRe: Has This Ever Happened To You Before? Please I Need A Way Out ! by greatgod2012(f):
@op, sorry to be blunt with you.
How can you claim you forgot how 6k got into your jean pocket three days ago, just 3days o, were you suffering from amnesia? You're just trying to be smart in your own way, and to think that you finished the whole 6k for just drinking with friends with the money you know is not yours o.

You said this is not the first time such is happening to you, how come you now claim you forgot how the money got into your pocket. You're only been smart there again.

My advice......... confess to your dad and desist from such attitude because it doesn't portray you as a honest person.

If you could be dishonest with such a small amount, I wonder what you will do if the money is in millions.

God help you and you too, try and help yourself.

PoliticsRe: Breaking: Goodluck Jonathan Expresses Interest In 2019 by greatgod2012(f):
GEJ should please not contest. He has done his part, he should give room to other Nigerians to also do their parts. We have more than 170million people in this country, let others too do their part.

Besides, it's Nigerians that said they are tired of your ruling system, and voted you out, don't further embarrass yourself again.

I'm saying this as one of your fans, not as opponent.

However, if you're adamant, and you contest come 2019, I'm sure you'll lose, but the embarrassment would be too much for you and your fans.

Thanks.

The current administration is even more corrupt and steals evem more. You will soon hear stories of Buhari being frustrated by them because they have checkmated him. The same way those around GEJ checkmated him.

One person can't change a country filled with morally corrupt people and thieves. Only changes in regulation and institutions can do this.
You dey mind them?
Let's just be looking at them. At the end, we shall all see. For now, they're saints. As if we don't know their antecedents.
PoliticsRe: An Open Letter To Goodluck Ebele Jonathan By A Staunch APC Supporter by greatgod2012(f): 12:31pm On Jul 07, 2016
You don't know the value of what you have until you lose it.

Not saying Jonathan was a saint when he was the President, in fact, he really fuvcked up with the set of people he surrounded himself with, he was too soft to put them under control, that was why they were able to embezzle so much. Apart from this weakness, he's such a good man who has good plans for the country and the citizens.

I'm yet to be convinced that the present administration is better than the previous one except they prove otherwise by outperforming the previous one.

On corruption allegations, I'm not saying those in previous administration are not corrupt but let's just wait and see........THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS. After their tenure, we will know whether they too are not corrupt.
PoliticsRe: Open Letter To The Presidency by greatgod2012(f): 10:51am On Jul 07, 2016
A poor woman (apology for this word, we're all poor anyway, one way or the other) came to ask for something from me yesterday, which was the sallah day. She said she has never experieced what she experienced during this year Ramadan. She said people use to give her good stuffs, clothing materials, money, et all that she normally use to celebrate the sallah, but this year's own is different, that nobody gave her anything, instead, everyone was complaining how hard things are, how unfavorable the economy is.....bla, bla, bla.

What I'm trying to bring out of this is that things are so hard to the extent that there is no more cheerful giver, everyone now feels like they are being spiritually attacked.

My neighbor has abandoned his car since last week, taking okada up and down with his kids, when asked, he said he couldn't cope with the fuel price again.

Recently, my husband has been saying it's like we're going to shift to one car o.

All these stories just to emphasize the hardship in the land.
God help us.
