Christianity EtcRe: Is Forgiveness Like A Debit Card? - Paul Ellis by GreatManBee: 11:00pm On Aug 28, 2016
jaysleem:
Op, I agree that forgiveness isn't a debit card, but at the same time, I think its wrong for you to encourage people not to confess their sins. The Bible in 1 John 1:9 says; if we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Even in teaching the disciples how to pray, Jesus asked for forgiveness; "forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us.
Forgiveness isn't like a debit card in any way, but saying people shouldn't confess their sins when they have sinned, especially by commission, it's very wrong. I don't think the scriptures you have quoted in anyway negates the practice of confession. What you're doing is encouraging people to go about sinning and not acknowledging their wrong doing, which with time will make them hardened and live perpetually in sin.

Mosed had the first commandment on stone, read from stone. Some people wrote it on there walking staff. To remember and read, due to advancement in technology from Egypt, they had to start copying and writing the word of God on papyrus. In Jesus time it was the scroll an advances papyrus. As times went on it became paper or bible that u call it. Now technology has so advanced we have it on our tablets aka ipad. I will put it back to you, do you go to church to judge the Pastor? Or do u go to listen to the word of God?

A man is driving down the road and his car breaks down near a monastery. He goes to the monastery, knocks on the door, and says, "My car broke down. Do you think I could stay the night?"

The monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, even fix his car. As the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound. A sound unlike anything he's ever heard before. The Sirens that nearly seduced Odysseus into crashing his ship comes to his mind. He doesn't sleep that night. He tosses and turns trying to figure out what could possibly be making such a seductive sound.

The next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, "We can't tell you. You're not a monk." Distraught, the man is forced to leave.

Years later, after never being able to forget that sound, the man goes back to the monastery and pleads for the answer again.

The monks reply, "We can't tell you. You're not a monk."

The man says, "If the only way I can find out what is making that beautiful sound is to become a monk, then please, make me a monk."

The monks reply, "You must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of grains of sand. When you find these answers, you will have become a monk."

The man sets about his task.

After years of searching he returns as a gray-haired old man and knocks on the door of the monastery. A monk answers. He is taken before a gathering of all the monks.

"In my quest to find what makes that beautiful sound, I traveled the earth and have found what you asked for: By design, the world is in a state of perpetual change. Only God knows what you ask. All a man can know is himself, and only then if he is honest and reflective and willing to strip away self deception."

The monks reply, "Congratulations. You have become a monk. We shall now show you the way to the mystery of the sacred sound."

The monks lead the man to a wooden door, where the head monk says, "The sound is beyond that door."

The monks give him the key, and he opens the door. Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone. The man is given the key to the stone door and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. And so it went that he needed keys to doors of emerald, pearl and diamond.

Finally, they come to a door made of solid gold. The sound has become very clear and definite. The monks say, "This is the last key to the last door."

The man is apprehensive to no end. His life's wish is behind that door!
With trembling hands, he unlocks the door, turns the knob, and slowly pushes the door open. Falling to his knees, he is utterly amazed to discover the source of that haunting and seductive sound

But, of course, I can't tell you what it is because you're not a monk.

kay4fun:
Here are two methods recommended to stop premature ejaculation. Stop-and-start method: Have intercourse as usual until you feel yourself coming uncomfortably close to orgasm. Immediately and abruptly, cease all stimulation for 30 seconds, and then start again. Repeat this pattern until you’re ready to ejaculate. Squeeze method: Have intercourse as usual until you feel like orgasm is seconds away. Abruptly, stop other stimulation and gently squeeze your thumb and forefinger around the part of the penis where the glans meet the shaft (or your wife could do this).

After squeezing for a few seconds, try and pause all stimulation for another 30 seconds before resuming intercourse. Repeat this pattern until you’re ready to ejaculate.

Then try and change sexual positions. Some intercourse positions put less pressure on the glans (or the most sensitive part of the penis). Here’s what to do: Try “passive” positions. Lie beneath your wife, or try a side-by-side (or spooning) position. Avoid “active” positions.

Missionary and rear-entry positions place the most stimulation and friction on the glans, so consider taking them off the menu for now. And then take it slow. Depending on your personal sensitivity, slowing your movements and opting for gentler, more teasing intercourse can help you hold off orgasm longer. If you find yourself getting too close to orgasm, slow down a bit, change to a new position, or take a break to stimulate your wife in fore play. Make sure you focus on pre-intimacy.

Sometimes, “premature” ejaculation is a frame of mind. Even if your ejaculation comes quickly during intercourse, you can still give your wife a great sexual experience through more extended, intimate, attentive and generous pre-intimacy. Stimulate your wife enough manually, orally or with toys, and she may not need or want a long session of intercourse to finish happy.

Then of course, do PC muscle exercises. Flexing and strengthening your pubococcygeus (PC) muscle can help you exert more control over ejaculation. (Note that this is also called Kegel exercises, which you might have heard me recommend for women. The muscle is the same in both sexes.) Locate your PC muscle. Put one or two fingers right behind your testicles.

Pretend that you are urinating, and then try to stop the flow with a quick muscle contraction. That muscle you just used to stop the flow from the bladder is your PC muscle. Flex the muscle regularly. Try to do 10 to 20 squeezes in a set, 2 or 3 times a day. Do a set whenever you’re bored or stationary, like when you’re sitting at your desk or in traffic. No one will be able to see that you’re doing them. Squeeze your PC muscle when you feel ejaculation coming on. Once the muscle is strong enough, you should be able to hold it off just like stopping flow when urinating. Practise controlling your orgasm. When you are with your wife, focus on improving your control over your climax. Stimulate yourself to the edge of climax and then stop.

Do this several times before finishing. As you practise, learn to recognise the feeling of getting close to orgasm, and take note of how close you can get and still effectively stop, and when you’ve reached a “point of no return.” During intercourse, use that knowledge to slow down or adjust your movements if you get too close too early. Condoms reduce stimulation for most men, which should prolong the time before ejaculation. But while looking for a condom to buy, steer clear of condoms that are marketed as extra thin. Instead, get a brand that allows more stimulation later. Some condoms are coated with a slight numbing gel on the inside. This can help you put off ejaculation for longer without causing numbness to your wife. (Just make sure you know which side is where when you put it on.) Use an analgesic cream or spray. There are two classes of these products. The first is the traditional “numbing” creams and sprays that have been in the market for some time. The advantage is that you’ll feel less sensation, which will delay ejaculation. While the disadvantage is that your wife may suffer a loss of sensation as well and of course less sensitive intercourse is not always an appealing notion, even in these circumstances. There is a new class of topical herbs that absorb into the skin to deliver a mild anaesthetic to the sensory nerves below the top layer of skin of the penis.

This allows men to have ejaculatory control but with less loss of sexual sensation, and reduces the transference to their wives. If you routinely ejaculate less than a minute and a half after beginning vaginal intercourse, and none of the above fixes have worked, it might be time to see a sex therapist.

When a wife complains of her husband's sexual weakness, I ask her, what have you done to increase his sexual prowess? ?

The kind of food you feed your husband could make him perform soo poorly.

Sex is not an individual responsibility since both of you engage in it and enjoy it. Sex must be enjoyed equally.

If this is the case, wives you have a big role to play not by only inviting him to bed but helping him last longer in bed and doing the work excellently .

Let me remind you of Ginger and dried dates.

Ginger is a powerful natural aphrodisiac, increases sexual prowess, increase libido and makes one stay longer in bed.

Dear wives, when your lovely husband return from work in the evening and after serving his meal, just give him Ginger Juice.

Place ginger into a blender, cover with 1 and half cup of water and blend until ginger is thick and pasty. Strain and squeeze juice from ginger, place it on fire and allow it to heat a little bit then give it to oga to drink. he will climb mountain Everest with ease.

I have a friend who told me after making love to his wife just one round he fell off. Then his wife went to the kitchen, grinned ginger and inserted it into her vagina , that very moment his boneless leg became very hard and he climbed Kalahari mountain twice.

As for dates, make sure you both eat if before taking little of your 3 daily meals, it gives alot

BusinessRe: Nigerians Must Begin To Overcome The Fear Of Becoming An Entrepreneur Now!!! by GreatManBee: 9:44pm On Jul 28, 2016
importexpert:
Despite all the economic woes and business/industrial downsizing, Nigerians are still blindly searching for jobs as a result of a burning fear in their minds that whisper failure to them when ever they think of being creative and do something personal. it is on this note i decide to write this to help wash away the fear that is buried deep within our minds.

"Less than 1% of people have the courage to face their fears, take risks, create their own businesses, change their lifestyles and become an entrepreneur."

Everyone experiences fear in their lives, even the most successful entrepreneurs out there. The people who became entrepreneurs have had to face and overcome their fears before they became entrepreneurs. But most people can't overcome this fear, so they carry on living ordinary lives working for the boss. even Dangote and otedola suffers such fear a lot.

Fear can take many forms such as being afraid to change, being afraid of the outcome of failure, being afraid of what others think you are doing etc. Fear also disguises itself as excuses, for instance 'I'm not ready to start my own business because I don't have time'. Underneath this excuse is fear.

I am here to share with you 3 Key Concepts that will gradually diminish the fear of becoming an entrepreneur.

THE VISION CONCEPT

Having a Vision of how you want to live your life as an entrepreneur is a powerful concept. Creating a vision first starts with realizing what you really want your life to be like in the future. You will start to focus on the thing that is driving you, and this will be a big part of your Courage and Motivation to take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Creating a vision will not only drive you to achieve what you want, but your fear of achieving it will start to naturally fade away because there is no stopping if you have a powerful vision backing you up.

THE BELIEF CONCEPT

Having a strong Belief goes hand in hand with your vision. You can have a great vision, but if you don't Really believe in it, you can't be an entrepreneur.

To really believe in something means that you will continue to pursue your belief no matter what struggles you will face to get there, and even more importantly no matter who tells you that it can't be done or it's not possible.

A strong belief will not get rid of your fear completely, but it will allow you to face it, and overtime your fear of becoming an entrepreneur will start to fade away.

THE ACTION CONCEPT

The last piece of the puzzle is taking Action.

If you haven't developed a vision and belief system, then at some point in time you will give up because your mind-set is not in the right place. When your mind-set is built up and ready to go, then it's time to apply yourself as an entrepreneur.

Once you start taking consistent action in your life and business, overtime you will start to see results, your motivation will improve and most importantly your fear will get to a point where it seems like it doesn't even exist anymore.

Remember the 3 Key Concepts

1. Create a Vision of what you want
2. Have the Belief that you can achieve it
3. Take Action to get there

lastly i will conclude with a saying that i find in almost all inspirational/motivational, self improvement and financial books i have read. it was in "the richest man in babylon, you were born rich, think and grow rich, greatest sales man in the world, rich dad poor dad, ziglar's you can reach the top" and so on. it goes as . . . . .

Never Allow The Fear Of Failing Surpass The Joy/Happiness That Comes With Succeeding.
CareerRe: 4 Warning Signs That You Won’t Get The Job – And How You Can Fix It by GreatManBee: 8:58am On Jul 28, 2016
JARUSHUB:
By Ansa John

You shake interviewer’s hand and head back home quite happily thinking that you have nailed the interview and you think you should be offered a job in the organization. One week later…. And still you haven’t received the call.

What did you do wrong during your job search? The interview was quite smooth, wasn’t it?

Statistics shows that about 50% of the hiring managers said that they knew enough about the candidate within the first 5 minutes of the interview to make the hiring decision. And within 15 minutes of the interview about 90% of the interviewers make their decision. So the smooth interview you had could mean that hiring manager from the very beginning had decided that you were not a good fit.

How can you be sure?

Following are 4 significant signs that your interviewer is not interested along with methods of turning around your performance.

1. Interviewer does not ask you about your availability to begin.
The company to which you are giving interview has an empty spot which they have to fill. They will try their best to fill it quickly. In order to do this, there will be many things which they have to prepare: employee orientation, paperwork of new hire, pay schedule and more.

These things require planning, so if the interviewer is interested he will like to know how soon you will be able to start. In case the interviewer does not ask you about the availability, it might be a sign of your CV not being up to the mark.

What you should do about it: You should turn tables on interviewer. You should not wait for the interviewer to ask you about the availability. Mention your interest in the job position and company and tell how excited you are to begin right away. Your interest and confidence can change the opinion of the interviewer about you.

2. You are only being asked the easy questions.

It might seem like an ideal scenario but when interviewer pitches only easy questions to you, odds are that you are not being considered seriously for the vacancy. The harder questions which challenge the candidates make them think hard and require them to solve problems are interviewers way of gauging how well prepared the candidates are and by this they determine if the candidate will be good fit in the organization.

In case you are continuously finding yourself answering the simple questions which do not give you the opportunity of connecting your experience with required skills for job, it can mean that interviewer does not think that you are strong candidate whom he should explore in more depth.

What you should do about it: You should be assertive. You can tell the interviewer that you want to ask a question and then say something such as: “In the last position I was working on, it was often required from me to do ABC. I have noticed that this position has similar requirements. How does ABC play into day to day responsibilities of this role?”

3. The interview is shorter than was scheduled.

The interview was scheduled for half hour, but between good questions of interviewer and yourself, you are out of the room within 15 minutes. Is that good then? Well not really. Shorter interviews sometimes are faults of the poor scheduling. However, mostly it is the results of the interviewer’s early decision regarding you not being a good fit in the company and it is the attempt of the interviewer to quickly move to the next applicant.

Often these interviews get characterized by one-to-one ratio of questions to answers. A question is asked by the interviewer and you give the answer. The interview will continue and there is not much back and forth.

What you should do about it: You should make your own back and forth. Ensure that you do have list of the questions before interview which you may refer to in case you think that you are not getting consideration which you deserve. After that find the ways for asking different questions as the follow ups in order to engage interviewer and to help yourself standout.

4. Interviewer does not discuss rest of hiring process.
Most of the organizations today have a prolonged process of hiring which can include many interviews, writing samples, portfolio submissions, assessments, and more. In case you are a great fit for the position, it is likely that interviewer is going to talk about the hiring process with you in order to give you an idea of what you could expect in coming days.

In case you hear “Thank you for the time and good luck with job search” you are probably not shortlisted.

What you should do about it: You should be proactive and confident. Take few minutes as interviewer wraps up in order to summarize why you would be a good fit for position. After that ask interviewer about next steps of hiring process and when could you expect hearing form them.

BusinessRe: 5 Things A Good Enterpreneur Should Never Do by GreatManBee: 7:30am On Jul 19, 2016
ddddon:
When you are in race to achieve a goal, it is pertinent that you follow whatever rules might have been laid down to get you to that desired destination.

Usually, Businessmen and women read about what they should do, buy, and read to be great and successful. But how about things they should not do?

Our list comprises of things a good businessman should never do.

1. Wake up without a plan

Time management is a crucial part of being an entrepreneur. There are only so many hours in a day, so to be efficient you need to know what your goals are and what tasks you need to get done prior to starting your day. If you are scrambling to create a plan of attack every day you are going to be in trouble. End each day by mapping out the following day’s to-do list.

2. Never Look back

As an entrepreneur, you are going to face hard times, difficult decisions and possibly even failure at some point. Don’t let small bumps in the road stop your forward progress. Find ways to maneuver around obstacles and continue to push forward, never looking back.

3. Choose short-term comfort over long-term benefit.

Once successful people know they want something that requires a painful, time-limited step, they do not mind the painful step because it gets them to a long-term benefit. Living out this principle is one of the most fundamental differences between successful and unsuccessful people, both personally and professionally.

4. Be scared to make changes, Evolve or adapt

You need to be willing and able to adjust your plan and overall strategy, because there is a very good chance that you will need to adapt to maintain success in the future. Imagine if Apple never adapted and just stuck to making computers? After releasing the iPod it started manufacturing smartphones, tablets and now are releasing its first wearable technology, the Apple Watch. Once just a computer company, it is now a consumer-electronics powerhouse.

5. Let failure stop you

Most statistics state that, eight out of every 10 new businesses fail. Successful entrepreneurs go into everything knowing that there is a chance of failure. If in fact they fail, it is viewed as part of their growth and they keep plugging along.

Christianity EtcRe: How We've Been Praying The Wrong Way All This Time by GreatManBee: 7:52pm On Jul 17, 2016
iliyande:
The most common prayer among Christians is the "Lord's Prayer", which according to the gospel accounts (e.g. Matthew 6:9-13) is how Jesus taught his disciples to pray. "The Lord's Prayer" is a model for prayers of adoration, confession and petition in Christianity.

Much of our prayer life can sometimes become about how much faith we have. We think that our prayers are answered when there is maximum faith and minimal doubt in our hearts. Otherwise it's best we try again.

But the power of prayer lies not on our faith, but on the finished work of Christ.

Faith is wonderful, and the Bible says that it is faith that pleases God. But is it also the determinant of whether our prayers get answered and how fast they get answered?

So much of the teachings on prayer nowadays focus on having more and more faith. These teachings say:

● "You should believe God more when you pray for the sick."

● "Stop doubting when you pray for financial provision and God will open the flood gates of heaven."

● "Your family isn't saved yet because when you pray, you don't pray with conviction."

Faith is important and vital to our everyday life. But do we really gain more faith in prayer by believing more and learning to doubt less? Isn't that in essence trying to get our prayers answered by our own strength?

When we think this way, then we fail to realise how faith really comes. Faith comes not by our own ability to believe or our own ability to remove doubts.

We need faith, but sadly many of us have misunderstood faith. We think it's about how much we read the Bible, how much we think about God's goodness, how much we shut out the fear when praying, or how much we cry and kneel when praying. When we think of faith this way, it now becomes faith relying on our attempts and no longer on God's power.

Hebrews 8:1-2 reminds us that it is through Jesus alone that we can now approach God in prayer. He is the high priest that mediates for us and stands on our behalf before the Father to come to His presence and offer worship, gratefulness and petition. That's why we end every prayer by saying "in Jesus' name."

Many believers pray today thinking it's their faithfulness that will get prayers answered. We watch for keywords, traditions and rudiments unawarely thinking that's what will get our prayers answered.

Even the simplest of prayers will be answered when we realise that it's God's faithfulness and not ours that answers prayers.

God's faithfulness to hear and answer our prayers does not depend on our rudiments, our works, or our ability to shut our doubts and fears. It's God that works out our faith and it is His perfect love that casts out our fears.

CareerRe: 7 Top Revealing Secrets On How Best To Conquer Fear Of Business Start-ups by GreatManBee: 5:55pm On Jul 15, 2016
sped1oro:
I have encountered many obstacles in the last 7 years when I took a dive in the entrepreneurship pool in order to grow my small business idea to a brand name of my dream. At some point, I have been rejected and my proposal turned down many a times, not because my idea is neither fantastic nor needed but rather, maybe it was not just my luck. However, I have also had cause to secure contracts where I least expected and sometimes those opportunities comes on a platter of gold. From my personal experiences and research, I have identified some limitations often faced by start-up businesses and entrepreneurs and these are the recipe to overcome such fear:
1. START ON A SMALL SCALE: To overcome business fear well ahead of time, it is usually more advisable to start your company on a little scale and gradually figure out ways to expand the exact same without wasting more cash on wrong resources. If you don't get to a greater degree, you will lose the chance for further business. In regards to your own business you don't want fear since it will prevent you from stepping from the comfort zone and also you won't have the capacity to grow. When it comes to second example of what the majority of individuals fear in starting an extra business, it's the financial strain of the startup expenses, regardless of your financial status.

2. BEGIN YOUR BUSINESS WITH A PROFITABLE SMALL BUSINESS: No matter your sort of business, if you're in sales, you may be required to do a little bit of form of `Prospecting' for leads and customers. Be certain to identify a profitable small business model, and then you have limited your exposure to risk or loss. This is sometime applicable if you're into a small business opportunity. Fear begins in your thoughts and you have to employ your mind to conquer fear particularly if you desire to increase sales for your personal business. Selling doesn't have to become a fearful experience!

3. IDENTIFY YOUR GREATEST FEAR IN BUSINESS: Many small business owners I've related with had one small business fears or the other. Small business success is all about realizing the real fears from the ones which are self-imposed. In truth, it really is subtle and the majority of people don't recognize this is holding them back from having a prosperous business and a great life. If your inner drive is weaker than the physical energy propelling your business, there is bound to be apprehension and this could lead to business failure and eventual shutdown of such business venture. The final move is to consider the objections which are stopping you from closing the company.

4. BE READY TO TAKE A PLUNGE: When I left Gtbank in 2009, I never wished to go back into the banking job for any reason whatsoever due to so many reasons which are currently manifesting as a result of economic recession, job insecurity, career growth, delusional bankers life, etc. The anxiety about success will allow you to avoid taking action to surely have a thriving business enterprise. Don't forget, small business success isn't about the amount of times you fail but about how many times you have overcome the challenges of being a successful business personality.

5. SEEK MENTORING AND TRAINING: I have lost counts of how many trainings, seminars and business mentoring attended in the last 10years after my National Youth Service scheme (NYSC) and I still attend trainings till this very moment despite offering such to people as well. You need to ask the leaders of your own enterprise whether they have training along with a proven way that will help build your business. You need to master a few techniques to boost your communication skills in order to gain confidence and begin enjoying your company presentations. There are lots of good trainers, mentors and resources accessible to develop your own skills and equip you to really become a productive communicator, prospector and company builder. In case you have the appropriate attitude, a powerful self belief, a complete understanding of your own product and lots of practice, then you are going to not have a thing to fear.
6. BE TRULY HAPPY ABOUT WHAT YOU DO: IF you are not happy about your job or any business you are doing, it becomes extremely difficult to make the best out of such business. I mean, if you're excited about the goods or services you offered to your clients, you adore the people you're meeting within your business surrounding and passionately talked about the business to people day-in day-out, the business will ultimately get the desired brand image. However, if you are too shy to identify with your business or fearful about the reception you are going to get from people you introduced your business to, then, you are not ready to stand alone in the world of business start-ups.

7. YOUR BUSINESS MUST PAY YOUR BILLS: One of the many reasons bankers lived a fake life is through accumulation of credits and borrowing facilities. All sorts and manners of credits are open to most salary earners and this ugly scenario exposes us to frivolities and seeking clamorous needs. Your earnings or income MUST be able to pay your bills and still leave extra for your savings account otherwise; you are deeper in debt shit! And this is precisely why the majority of people don't begin a new enterprise. For example, some people might fear starting a small business as it may not pay their current bills. Even if you possess all of the positive thinking on earth, crazy and unnecessary bills accumulation will never going to get you out of the business fear dilemma.

My hypothesis is that UFOs are actually machines and spacecrafts that black people/Negroes built and sent into space to remain there until the end of black devolution, to serve as reminders to white folks that whatever 'successes' they will claim to achieve in space exploration is just bunkum.

Before black devolution, we were everywhere.

BusinessRe: Paypal Ranks Nigeria 3rd In Mobile Shopping by GreatManBee: 6:51pm On Jul 02, 2016
Dottore:
So they are just realizing that Nigerians are big shoppers. SEBI THEY WERE DOING Sakara. PayPal would have recorded tremendous earnings if they had included Nigeria from the early days of their operations.
Similarly Mark Zuckerberg (founder of Facebook) could have been among top 3 richest men in the world by now if he didn't succumb to the advise of his arrogant and imperial countrymen.
China has a policy that any foreign company wishing to trade in China must either partner with a similar indigenous company in China or establish an operational base in China thereby making Chinese citizens to take greater ratio of the workforce of the establishment among other benefits to the Chinese government. This policy is especially in force in the automotive industry. This explains why most if not all automobile manufacturing companies have production/assembly plants in China. If an automobile manufacturer fails to indigenize the production of their products or a particular brand in China, the resultant effect is that you will not be allowed to sell the products in China but you risk Chinese local manufacturers counterfeiting your revered product and selling it cheaper but with a different and funny sounding brand name. Like the case of BMW X6 clone bearing "Qin Xi" or so and selling for as low as 150,000RMB equivalent of less than 4million naira for brand new. Also the case of a certain Greely brand counterfeiting Rolls Royce&oq and selling it for as low as less than equivalent of 6million yet with all the facilities in genuine rolls Royce.
Zuckerberg refused the Chinese deal at the onset forgetting that China has almost half of the world's active internet users per day. So Chinese government blocked Facebook IP from officially opening in China then went ahead and invested in other local software firms (tercent and baidu) to create social media very similar to Facebook by the time Zuckerberg relapsed his mistake the local firms had not only become very popular and widely acceptable but preferable amongst the Chinese.
I don't know whether the new Chinese president has officially lifted the ban on Facebook in China.

How I wish Nigerian government could be wise enough to adopt such people oriented economic policies.
CareerRe: Six (6) Steps With Which You Can Kick Start Your Career As A Freshman In The Uni by GreatManBee: 8:03pm On Jun 30, 2016
enoch273:
So, you and your parents have just invested a significant amount of money for your university education. As a freshman, what can you do to make sure you get your money’s worth? How will you assure a return on your investment (ROI)?

Step 1: Get Organized

Developing a strong, structured time management routine is crucial to being successful in college. Your first semester will set the tone for your following four years. It is imperative that you establish a strong GPA that first semester because maintaining a high GPA is much easier than trying to bring up a low one.

Being organized will also keep you healthy, reduce your stress levels, and prevent fatigue.

Work on maximizing your time between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Take advantage of free time between classes to work on homework, projects, career development, and exercise. This will free up your evenings and weekends for additional activities, rest, and relaxation. Then, spend a few hours at the end of your weekend to review and plan for the following week.

Step 2: Schedule Monthly Meetings With A Career Coach

Because career development is a process that takes as many semesters as your established major, scheduling career coaching appointments monthly will benefit you tremendously. Every college has a career development office. Locate it and visit your first semester. Then, establish a relationship with this office

and keep consistent appointments with a career coach. He/she will help you plan out your professional

development goals for each semester.

If you do not do this, you will not be educated on how to transition from student to professional. Would you dare wait until your final semester of college to visit your professors, attend class, and follow through with your major requirements for graduation? Of course not! So, why would you dare make the mistake of doing this with your career development?

Step 3: Engage In Your Career Development

The majority of students who fail to attend and participate in career development events do so because

they choose not to engage and prioritize this development. Again, it is imperative that students educate

themselves on how to transition from student to professional. Establish and keep consistent appointments with a career coach so you can identify professional interests, build strategies for out of classroom experiences, identify strong, mentor-based internships, and establish a strong professional brand. Learning to be professional starts freshman year, not senior year.

Step 4: Investigate Extra Curricular Activities

Once you have identified professional interests, it is time to celebrate those interests and meet others who have those same interests. This is where extra curricular activities come in. As a freshman, finding a community that celebrates these same interests will help you learn more about yourself, your goals and passions, and your interpersonal style. College provides an abundance of clubs and activities for students to choose from, so investigate these choices and participate starting your freshman year. This will set the

stage for future leadership opportunities within these clubs or activities and will help strengthen your

professional interests.

Step 5: Create Your LinkedIn Profile

Establishing a professional on line presence begins freshman year. Yes, students need to clean up their Facebook page and even lock it down, if preferred. However, the main focus freshman year, is to establish your LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn is a professional networking site every bit as relevant to first year college students as it is to seasoned professionals.

The difference is in the strategies used by freshman versus seasoned professionals. Freshman can research

alumni, learn about their majors and subsequent careers, research those careers and the companies in which they work and learn tons about the professional world. And, the career development coaches and staff can assist freshman in building their profiles and using the site strategically.

Step 6: Get A Mentor

Because your first year in college is a huge transition, it can be a tremendous help to build a relationship with someone a bit ahead of you. Someone who has recently been in your shoes, can guide you, give you advice and support you through this transition. This is where mentoring comes in. Ask the career development office if they can assist you in locating a mentor. Alumni can be fabulous mentors for freshman and a career coach can assist you in making connections with alumni through LinkedIn.

These are six easy steps to accomplish during your freshman year. Remember, you have made a significant financial investment to attend college, so follow these steps and you will be on your way to gaining a huge ROI.

TravelRe: United Airline To Stop Flights To Nigeria by GreatManBee: 11:04am On Jun 30, 2016
timidapsin:
United and Emirates (evening flight) Airlines bids farewell to the Nigerian sky after their last flight today 30th June, 2016.

In one instance, the exit of these two world class airlines will definitely lead to loss of jobs both directly and indirectly.

In another instance, this exit would have been Nigeria's gain had it been we did not "stole" the wings off Nigerian Airways till it became a flightless bird six feet beneath the earth from 22,000 feet above sea level. It would only take a miracle to survive a fall from such a height.

13 years after the demise of Nigerian Airways, the feet of it's interred body still sticks out. A sign that it's remain refused to be ushered into gentle breeze of glory. The ghost is what is currently haunting our aviation sector.

At the pinnacle of it's operations, the asset of Nigerian Airways Limited was valued at a little over $6B all over the world. And the airline was flying to all continents with quality service at an affordable price.

The airline became a cesspit of monumental corruption when government officials took charge of it's administration. It got worst when free tickets were given to wives and concubines of government officials. Flight would be delayed for one minister held up at his girlfriend's birthday, prostitutes and pimps of ministers and airline's staffs were employed as air hostesses and aviation staffs. These among other pesky infractions killed Nigerian Airways.

With 10,000 staff strength and 32 fleet of aircraft as at 1979, Nigerian Airways was the pride of our nation back then not even our current quasi - national carrier (Arik Air) compares to it.

By 1999, the Nigerian Airways had only one serviceable aircraft left in it's fleet. By this time it had become Nigerian Airweighs, weighed down by it's debt burden.

Over N6 billion was stolen between 1993 and 1999 under the nose of two managing directors of the airline. This approximated figure is extracted from the report of the Justice Nwazota-led Commission of Inquiry that was set up shortly before the death of late President Musa Yar’Adua.

The Nigerian Airways was savagely raped like an orphan till the last straw that broke it's camel back in 2003 when # 25B mysteriously took flight from the airlines till.

Even at this point Nigerian Airways assets still far outweighs it's liabilities.

One then wonder why OBJ sold it off under the guise of "pocketization" oops! Privatization when he could have simply partnered with world class airlines like British Airways. Such arrangements is not strange in aviation as was recently witnessed between Alitalia and Etihad. Alitalia conceded some of their not so vibrant routes to Etihad. While the bailout partnership between Airfrance - KLM is also a good example.

Today, tiny countries like Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopa, etc have a thriving national carrier. Ki lo ti wa je ni Nigeria? Rather than the senseless liquidity of Nigeria Airways, it would have partnered with some of these airlines exiting the Nigerian route on the premise of non repatriation of funds made on ticket sale. NAL would have been exchanging it's ticket sale money in those countries with partner airlines while the partner airlines would do same with NAL here in Nigeria. That way the FOREX policy won't force airlines to close business the way they are seen to be doing now, and it would be a win win situation.

Hello everyone, your advice would be really appreciated on this matter.
I have two plots of land in a village along Lagos Ibadan expressway. The land is rich and the soil is humus. The only problem is that the soil retains water after it rains. Its not that the soil is swampy or whatever. Please what kind of crop will do well in this area? I will appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

FamilyRe: How To Guide Your Child(ren) Against Molestation by GreatManBee: 10:27pm On Jun 24, 2016
ikbnice:
The news these days is filled with cases of child molestation by adults. Some of the incidence leading to this can be avoided if the children are equipped with adequate knowledge right from the early stage. No one will be able to capitalize on their ignorance.
HERE IS A LIST OF THINGS YOU NEED TO TEACH YOUR CHILD(REN) AT EARLY AGE :

1. Warn your girl child never to sit on anyone's laps no matter the situation including close relations.

2. Avoid getting dressed/UnCloth in front of your child, once he/she is 2 years old. Let them understand the value of privacy.

3. Never allow any adult refer to your child as 'my wife' or 'my husband', reprove it immediately.

4. Whenever your child goes out to play with friends make sure you look for a way to find out what kind of play they do, because young people now sexually abuse themselves.

5. Never force your child to visit any adult he or she is not comfortable with and also be observant if your child becomes too fond of a particular adult.

6. Once a very lively child suddenly becomes withdrawn you may need to patiently ask lots of questions from your child.

7. Carefully educate your grown ups about the right values regarding SEX. If you don't, the society will teach them the wrong values and peer pressure will bend them negatively.

8. It is always advisable you go through any new material like cartoons and movies you just bought for them before they start seeing it themselves. Many of these are laced with negative sex.

9. Ensure you activate parental controls on your cable networks and advice your friends especially those your child(ren) visit(s) often to do so.

10. Teach your three-year-old how to wash his/her private part properly and warn them never to allow anyone touch those areas and that
includes you (remember, charity begins from home and with you).

11. Blacklist some materials/associates you think could threaten the sanity of your child (this includes music, movies and even friends and families).

12. Let your child(ren) understand the value of standing out of the crowd. Being different from others is never a crime.

13. Once your child complains about a particular person, don't keep quiet about it. Take up the case and show them you can defend them.

Remember, you can't be too careful.
