Operation Barbarossa & the Ukrainian Crisis

On this day in 1941, Nazi Germany began its invasion of the Soviet Union during WWII, also known as Operation Barbarossa.

In my opinion this is the biggest blunder that Adolf Hitler made in the Second World War, opening a second front. Hitler should have concentrated on defeating England and occupying London. Germany has the most powerful army in Europe then.

After the cowardly capitulation of France, Hitler thought Germany was invincible and his army will reach Moscow in less than one month. The Moscow that he never saw it lights. The former Soviet Union counterattacked and though around 27 million people in the Soviet Union alone were killed in the war, more than 70% of Germany soldiers that died in WWII were killed in the Russian front.

Hitler's arrogance reminded me of the arrogance of the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. At the height of his power Napoleon thought he was invincible and in 1812 he invaded Russia. Unlike Hitler, Napoleon reached Moscow but the Russians refused to surrender. The scorch earth policy of the Russians defeated Napoleon and forced him to retreat in less than 6 months. That was one of the worst retreats in the history of military warfare as more than half of his soldiers died.

Russians are historically resilient people that does not easily give up. Relating the above history with what is happening today, American arrogance pushed it to bait Russia with #Ukraine. The goal was to entrapped Russia, weakened it and dominate it. America and Western hegemony thought with their economic might their sanctions will destroy the Russian economy but the reverse is happening today. Western economies are suffering the brunt of Western sanctions while the Russian currency continue to wax stronger.

From all indication the Ukrainian crisis will only accelerate the decline of Western hegemony, the biggest evil since the beginning of human creation. Western hegemony has invaded almost all nations of the world and killed hundreds of millions innocent civilians. For the past 300 years more than 90% of all genocides perpetrated in the world were by Western powers. In 1884 during the infamous Berlin Conference, European powers sat down and shared the African continent like loaf of bread � in a breakfast. Hundreds of thousands of indigenous people of Africa were brutally slaughtered by the Western hegemonic barbarians. The Germans almost wipeout Namibia from existence. The Belgian King Leopold II murdered more than 10 million Congolese civilians. The British killed more than quarter of million people in Kenya. And the Italians failed to defeat the ancient Christian Empire of Ethiopia. The rest is history.

On a final note, the biggest victim of the Ukrainian crisis is the country Ukraine that is being used as pawn to further the evil agenda of US imperialism, arrogance and terrorism.
