Has anyone delivered her baby without knowing the sex of the baby? Like, telling the sonographer not to reveal the gender #TeamSurprise baby
I’m thinking of doing that o, Lool! But I don’t know if i can hold on for that long , please i need ginger from people who have done it ..

I did with my 3rd baby. Discovered the sex the day I birthed him. The surprise was worth it. But it wasn't easy sha.

how lil is d jaundice..? If it is as lil as its not obvious... Yes it can go on its own... Just mk sure u feed her very well so as d bilirubin will b pooped out of her body... As 4 d colic, if u can get infacol in ur area, gt it cos it wrks wonder if not... If ur baby is bottle feeding, gt an anti colic bottle, n more importantly burp ur baby alwz b4 u put her down after every feed... If ur baby is already a month old, u can gt grip water... These are ways u can relieve ur baby of colic.

You are lucky, infacol did nothing for my baby.
But thank God, we have outgrown it now.

Good morning Mama's i am low key team march, please I just want to ask what can one do to reduce baby weight is that even possible to reduce, have am very close to EDD and baby weighs 4.1 my external doctor friend is saying baby is big and should be delivered through CS but I am hoping on God for natural delivery am a second time mum, first was natural... please any advice from you will be appreciated still no sign of labor yet super worried.

Trying to reduce the weight of your baby may cause harm to either you or baby cos you deny your self some nutrition you need.
Please let your prayer be mummy and baby alive and healthy. God will perfect the rest.

Good morning fellow mothers . Please I need your advise o as I am a ftm. I am 41 weeks and 3 days yet no sign of labour. My hospital is saying I will be induced at 42 weeks if I don’t go into labour. Some people have been telling me 42 weeks is to late that I should have been induced by now. What do you think about this as I am panicking badly.

Panicking will not solve the problem.
Talk to your doctor about your fears .
Trust God completely and He will perfect all for you.

Hello Mamas...longest time o. How body? grin I'm a June mama (2021). Baby is going to 10 months now and he stands on his own. He's about to start walking. Hubby says we should try for another baby. That's our child is old enough. If God answers his prayer this month, we will have another child by Dec. I'm a bit worried. Is it okay to have another child so soon? I just gave birth last year na. Has anyone been through this before? How did it go?

Medically they will advise to space your children. Your body need to replenish from all it lost from the last pregnancy .
That been said, some women takes in even at 3 months most of the time unplanned and still end up with a healthy child but sincerely, it is not always easy at the part of the woman.
Taking care of pregnancy and a toddler who is entirely dependent on you for everything is not easy dear, talking from experience.
At the end of my sermon, the choice is yours. I am not a doctor, just a mother.

Good evening mamas in the house,
Pls I need your help once again o.
I need a non cultural based guidance on care of belly button (navel) after the umbilical cord falls off!
I googled and Google says just to leave it except clean any secretions if found...
I have heard so many different versions, like use hot fabric to press the Navel, tie stones to fabric etc. Grind the fallen cord etc...

Pls can someone educate me on the proper and adequate/necessary care.
Coz my baby's cord fell off on Thursday, and I am concerned I am not doing the right thing.

Also pls how long will it take for the Navel to heal properly!

Pls note I am asking despite Google coz, I remember Google said I don't need alcohol (spirit to clean cord) just damp cotton is adequate, but I latter read somewhere that alcohol could be used in developing countries (Nigeria is one) where there is high susceptibility to infection.

Pls educate me.
Thanks.

Continue to clean with your methylated spirit. A week or thereabout it will dry up.

Good morning my adorable mummies and moms to be in the house.

I've been away from here for sometime but am fully back now.

Congratulations to moms that have put to bed and to us that our babies will come soon.
I wish everyone of us a safe and sound delivery. Amen

I'm 33weeks preggy, the hospital I registered here in Benin has been really monitoring me due to my past experiences (stillbirth due to HBP).

What I've been advised by our consultant is they'll monitor me till 37weeks and bring out the baby....my Edd suppose to be April 4th
I can't wait to meet my princess.

My question is.... Have any mom here delivered at 37weeks?
How was it like? Please I your contributions o

From 37 weeks upward is considered full term. I delivered my baby at 37 weeks 3 days and he weighed 3.3kg at birth. No complications whatsoever and he is meeting all his milestone. All the best to you.

Like how long does the site take to heal properly and what can of care is done on it?

The pain may last for like 1 week. Healing properly might take upto 4 to 6 weeks, all depending on each individual and level of management in a complication free CS.
Note: Try to take all the drugs given to you when discharged, it helps a lot.
Keep the sight as dry and neat as possible.
Clean with spirit when the plaster is removed.
Don't lift any weight bigger than your baby.
You will be fine.

Pls note I notice since last year I HV high BP and am just 28years and ifako ijaye doctor act as if they don't care and told me I shld continue to use drug but the gynaecologist told me that is not right they HV to dig deep y having BP at this age and I just weight 82kg don't knw what to do again.

Babies dust on all of us ijn

It is well with you mama.
No 1 ,I will advise you to take care of your health first. High blood pressure in pregnancy is risky.
Reduce your anxiety level, try to look for what makes you happy. Try to relax and eat healthy. It will help your BP. Anxiety is one of the major causes of high BP.
It is only d living that births children.

Begin to ttc when your BP is under control.
My opinion though.
All the best.

Thanks to everyone who commented and helped one way or the other when i posted this the last time.
(Pweetiebabe, shithapuns, Queenbeloveth, omojudy i really appreciate)

Sadly We eventually lost the pregnancy. She had a miscarriage, the test also showed an Incomplete abortion and they recommended Evacuation which we did. She feela much better now after a week.

Please when is the right time to try again?

Should she start using folic acid?

What are the things we should put into consideration and what we should avoid in order not for it to occur again.

Thanks in anticipation.

Sorry for your loss.
After her first period, if she is emotionally ready, she can try again.
Best of luck.

Mamas please a me ooo, i find it hard to sleep at night even when baby is fully asleep but i sleep in the afternoon. I don't know what to do, please advice me on best ways to make me fall asleep

Have you tried taking a glass of warm milo and milk before bedtime. Dim or off your light.

Also check if you are under pressure and try to unburden your heart.
After all these, close your eyes and meditate on positive things, before you know it, you are off to lalaland.

Goodmorning please I need help, my daughter stomach cord has not yet dropped. I was using spirit but mil started using medicated powder and cotton wool to wrap it. Help its 6days now and it has not dropped.

please kindly tell your mil to stop.

Clean it with original moko spirit as often as possible. When wearing diaper make sure that it is not covered.
Take good care of it to avoid infection.

Good evening mama
Please mama that have done family planning please which type of test was conducted cos when I went to make enquiry was Tod only pregnancy test will be conducted and am to choose any options of my own.

Sorry this is coming late.

Pregnancy test,
Your BP
Your weight.

If the blood pressure is high, then you won't qualify for any hormonal method.
Other options will be discussed with you.

They will also ask about any form of cancer or other hormonal drugs one is taking.

Will also advise to go for cervical cancer screening especially if you opted for IUD.

The is my experience from the hospital i used.

Hope this helps.

Is the baby sick or recommendation from the pead?
Giving a new born ampicolox because some one said so is absolutely wrong.
What your baby needs now is breast milk.
