Hmn. I don't even know where to start. I believe siblings fall apart for a number of reasons. Envy is one of these reasons. We should all realize that though siblings come out of the birth canal of the same Mother, their destinies are different. The eldest child might not be the most successful child. In a family of 7 children, the 5th born might become richer than the other children due to reasons best known to God and hardwork. Sometimes, strife among siblings is caused by the Father or Mother who openly love one child than the others. The other children will notice this as they grow up and resentment and hate for the favored child sets in. Naturally, there will be competition among siblings but the behaviour of Parents also lead to disharmony among siblings later in life. So when the 4th born starts prospering than his senior brothers and sisters, strife sets in. I have also observed that wives and husbands of siblings also contribute to them falling apart. Women are naturally very competitive and they can wreck havoc on the love between two brothers. I know what I am saying because I have experienced this directly. The wife of an elder brother might not be too happy seeing her husband's junior brother doing well than him. So jealousy sets in and we all know what can happen.

In Europe and North America, there is little love between siblings because of the pressure to see who makes it big first. We have this absurd belief in Africa that the first born must do well than his junior siblings and that they must look up to him all the time. I have since thrown this belief into the dustbin and I've focused on my future with a view to doing well in life. Jay Jay Okocha's brother started playing football before him. Emmanuel Okocha played for the Super Eagles one or two times but Austin Okocha became a legend in the Nigerian National Team. It was even Emmanuel that took Austin Okocha to Germany. Jay Jay played for Clubs in Europe that his elder brother could only dream of. Yet they are still close to one another without any acrimony between them. Same obtains between Emmanuel and Celestine Babayaro. So I believe siblings should love one another and realize that our destinies are different because it is God that has the final answer as to what we will become in life. Cheers.

This your article is a masterpiece. I agree with everything you said. What is the way forward for one who finds himself cut off by his siblings. Especially when he does not know any reasonable offence he committed.

The greatest rumour i heard was by a female colleague who said her fiancee told her that i told him that he is too good for her. Damn. The news had gone round the office that i tried to ruin her relationship and no one told me. Until a close friend dared to ask if it was true.

Honestly i couldn't sleep at night for days and i don't know why the news took me so down i fell ill. I even begged her to call the guy so i hear directly from him. She refused.

Truth be told, i have only seen this guy twice my whole life. And the twice we saw, she was there. I didn't even remember his name until this rumour i had to go on facebook to start checking all her pictures to see if i could trace him from comments or likes.

The incident actually taught me how to hate. I won't deny, i have hatred for her now and all those who heard it and swallowed it hook like and sinker. If an opportunity came today for me to carry out a revenge that will make her sad for many years of her life, I'd not look back. If only she had called the guy, given me his number or even asked me before broadcasting it, i would have known the enemy is the guy. But this hatred has refused to leave my heart even though many people have begged me to forget it. I try. But whenever i set my eyes on her again, i feel a sense of disdain. Its so difficult that i have to put up a front that i have forgotten the incident when in my heart, i still wish to revenge. I wish to see that guy face to face and ask what his intentions were. I wish to make this lady regret what she did. I wish she stops greeting me or speaking to me for the rest of our lives. And if i leave that office, I'd block her number and she will ever remain in my black records till the end of time.

1. It's not government job to provide you jobs rather government is supposed to provide enabling environment. Waiting for government is tantamount to failure.

2. Majority of youths in the 20th and upwards generation don't want to learn a trade, go to those during handiwork you rarely see them have work boys the youths don't want to get their hands dirty.

3. Many of us refuse to learn from our parents. My mother owns a shop and I served her 10years I have 10years experience in marketing and human relation, I can sell shit and feaces to anybody from what I have learned.

4. We blame everybody but ourselves, government no give me job, why are my parents poor, my school refused to give me necessary skills etc. Stop complaining go out there and fix ur poblem.

5. Unable to think out of the box. I don't take nonsense from any employer I am ready to resign if the working conditions aren't favourable because I learned 3 trades I can venture into, I can also use my handiwork to make a living.

6. Fear of the unknown. This has incapacitated many people, what if I fail, what if I loose well there is a saying "no risk, no reward" try to take risk and God willing even when you fail you have learned to do better again.

7 certificate. Many graduates think because they went to school they can't do a certain job, because people will.laugh at dem. My first million idea came from paupers who showed me a problem and I decided to abandon my certificates, got dirty and today it's a success story.

8. Not moving with the right crowd. Stop I want to go to unilag, and work with Chevron and start thinking about problems in your society and solution you can provide and cash out from.

There are others, the country is hard and inflation is biting hard, white collar jobs are diminishing but their are opportunities available all around us, find a problem in ur immediate environment and a cost effective solution and cashout.

When we are settled, we often think our struggling counterparts are lazy or uninterested.
