If the church was locked out without infringing on any known law of the estate and without duly notifying the church of their actions, then this shouldn't be taken lightly. I refuse to accept a Nigeria where anyone can do anything simply because they have the influence without respecting the freedom off others. This doesn't show that we are developing as a nation. Not a good report in any form or manner... So respecting the right of others is when you use horn speakers to pray to God in your church even during unholy hours in name of night Vigil? If you want to give the history of a people the best way is to interview them. You don't tell the story of any tribe from rumours and beer parlour gossips and I know that I may be old enough to be your father. I have travelled and lived in most part of Rivers State and know their history. The Ikwerres and others you claim to know won't agree with your account of their origin so authenticate your narratives before going public. Distortion of history for selfish reasons cannot endure for ever as proven recently by the Oba of Lagos who came out with his own account of the history of Lagos. IBOS claim to be the super tribe that begot other tribes in the east but at the same time claim to come from Israel when some of the tribes are older than Israel. The tribes of Nigeria did not come with the arrival of European on our shores. The language group of a people is influenced by a lot of factors. If really your fight for bialfra which have recently been the fulcrum of all your argument is to succeed without the ills plaguing Nigeria then you must recognise and respect the identity of every component ethnic group devoid of your current colonising attitudes. kaltonga: Recently the oba of Lagos made a shocking remark stating clearly that lagos as a state does not belong to yorubas but a benin territory arming himself with some historical facts at his disposal. This has not gone down well with some yoruba folks especially the resident yoruba nairalanders on the obas submission or opinion like they cliam. But one thing is certain is that the custodian of the culture of the people of lagos has made clear to whosoever that cares to listen and in no small measures that should represent to some large extent, the views of an average lagos citizen['omo ni le']. But the obs view has come under harsh criticisms especially on the nairaland front with heated arguments over the said statement, with likes of virgin founder leading the afonja defense councils heroically defending there acclaimed ownership of lagos as if there life depend on it.This now leave me with the title THE BOOMERANG OF DIVIDE AND RULE. Let me take you guys back,on many occasions we have heard course to argue on the historical attachment with some niger delta so called tribes that speak igbo in the so called south south region over there affiliation to the igbo race..some as far as go about cooking up fictitious and malicious historical jargon just to suit there folly and satisfy there self hatred for the igbos that the people of ikwere, etche, ndoni, egbeme, anioma, and the host of them as not been igbos. This falsehood is further propagated with many impostors with fake monikers coming to this forum to promote the age long divide and rule tactics hoisted as a mandate to them by there paymasters and some gulible ones in our mist buy such cheap propaganda with every alacrity. According to one of the afonja defenders on the said obs statement, he said and i quote'oba akiolu is a yoruba name?',this question i bring back to the yorubas if oba akiolu is not a yoruba name but cliam benin ancestry, how come an ELECHI AMADI,AMAECHI,ODILI,WIKE,CHIJOKE,EKE and co were never igbos?..The second argument is and i quote him again'why is it that the yoruba culture is written all over lagos state and not benins culture'and i asked why are the igbo rivers ,delta dress like the igbos, dance like the igbos, and observe ths same igbo traditional activities? In the course of the yoruba defence, they cliamed the AWORIS were the first occupant of lagos state and the aworis migrated from ife...so how do we explain the ikweres that migrated from nkwere in present day imo state, the etches that migrated from ngor okpala present day imo state, the asas in rivers that migrated from the asa community in imo state, the egbema in river state that were wickedly divided from there kits and kin in imo,or the day light robbery of oyigbo that belongs to old imo now abia ceded to river state,or the attempted hijacking of opobo founded by an igbo son from nwangele imo state....Are we now safe to still maintain that all this igbo speaking communities in the imaginary south south region are not igbos, but the oba who cliamed hes from benin a yoruba oba? Lastly, the yorubas in this forum are good at demining the igbos as not contributing anything to nigeria in terms of revenue but are quick to cliam lagos into there region as the highest revenue earner even when the lagos delegates to the last confab made it clear that they are a different region from the south west and there senators are advocating a different status for lagos state outside the yoruba arrangement..now backed with the oba...can we now say our yoruba brothers are now attache by force? if the revenue generated by lagos an obvious benin land, how come the igbos became parasites with oyigbo an igbo land been the largest oil producing community in rivers state, the oil at egbema rivers, ndoni, etc are not part ofigbo contributions? My conclusion remains that, since the oba has said that lagos is not a yoruba territory, its now official that lagos remains anon yoruba territory's far as there are no ibgos in river and delta states, no oshogbo, ekiti,or ibadan man should come to this forum again and cl;iam or bragg with lagos but focus on there 5 states and make comparisons from there....for this is THE BOOMERANG OF DIVIDE AND RULE If you want to talk of Yoruba's and Lagos why not concentrate on what you want to say and leave Rivers State out of it. You are now implying that you know the ikwerrees. Assas , Egbemas and other so called igboic tribes in Rivers state more than themselves. You are trying to shove your own historical account down the throat of the ethnic nationalities that make up Rivers State. The Rivers tribes know their origin and roots and you are in no position to argue for them. Every ethnic nationality has the right to self determination and actualisation. Whatever is the fight between you and the yorubas is your own fight. When the Ikwerres, Ogbas, Egbemas, ndonis want to fight heir own course they will do it their own way. |
Crime › Re: How Ponzi Admins Siphon Cash(the Awakening Community) by greenmonk: 9:49pm On May 04, 2017 |
itaf: OUR STORY The Awakening or "TA" as people would love to call it for generations to come is a fulfillment of divine will. The Awakening (TA) proves there is someone Supreme who listens to the prayers of men.
Our Story began with a group of individuals in a country called Nigeria'- A place filled with so much hope and "potential" but marred by the failure of previous generations to look pass self greed and self limitations of life and search for something greater than ourselves.
In our state of financial unfulfilment and the unending quest for survival , we stumbled upon a means which is called "Mutual aid community"- A system where people donate to each other in a cycle that should never end.
Oh what joy we had! For at last or so we thought, we had finally found a solution to our financial distress. And so we rejoiced and participated in mass with huge sums. It was yielding good reruns at first and our hearts bubbled with so much gladness at this 'gold mine. Those of us who started with hundreds moved to thousands and those of us who started with thousands had moved into donating millions. Some of us donated all we had into this system. Students, teachers, husbands, wives, mothers, sons, men and women all donated without a second thought.
Then the bombshell dropped. *Alas!* we had all invested into a system that was structured and designed to fail. This failure came all but too sudden and father's, mothers, daughters and sons lost all they had to this system that was designed to fail from the start. Oh our money was gone. Just in a flash! The loss and impact it had in our lives lead us to a state of "emptiness" and grieve. We experienced the lowest mental state a man could fall into...
But then we realized we all had something in common - Anger for our loss, blames on ourselves for not questioning the system and the need to recover our money. Yes our money was gone. They took it all. But they couldn't take us. We still had each other. We still had our dreams for financial freedom.
And then the big question: *What if we could create our own platform?* A system where no one would cheat us and cart away with our hard earned money. Finally and in that moment we were *"Awakened"* and The Awakening was "birthed ", a group of individuals came together to create our own system, a new model that would eventually change the world. A system birth out of deep loss, we dared to dream that we could build something for ourselves. A system built on "Trust and Transparency" with "Sustainability" in our minds. This system became *THE AWAKENING*, we were awakened to our potential and divine purpose to "help each other".
We are living during the most extraordinary time ever in human history, a time where anything is possible if you #DARETODREAM.
The Awakening is a movement. A promise made to ourselves that we would never be cheated again because we are Awakened! And we say to ourselves *"NEVERAGAIN". #NEVERAGAIN.* I don't know how dumb our nation can be before we get wise and stop being hoodwinked be very few individual. Where else can someone claim to be rational expect to make 100% of his capital except in Nigeria and still call such a venture a legal business. That you are aiding a criminal to defraud others of their hard earned money does not make him a godsend. How soon have we forgotten mmm and other cyclers that crashed with people's life savings. Continue in your nefarious dealings until nature catches up with you. |

Piercy: Before we go on an unending battle of who is better or not
What's social studies?!
various aspects or branches of the study of human society, considered as an educational discipline.
Hmmm we have female presidents already.. Presidency is sort to be the highest office any one can ever have..., we have women who can and have been successful with raising multiple kids..I believe if humans were hermaphrodites women should be able to surpass alot more boundaries than they think they are
When the teacher says the man is the head of the house.. He or she is simply referring only to how or where or each family member should be positioned.... WE can't give both the man and the woman same position... Rather like the Presidency there is a deputy even if visibly the hardest job on earth is that of the deputies... In reality women do more.. But in a family the man is perceived to be the one who has to do more, who should be doing more.. Who can do more.. Men folks are given that responsibility by society because it's meant to be theirs even if the reality is that the women may and can do more . .. Yes its as simple as that.. I myself have countless defended this opinion...
But the man is what he is.. Because that's how he is supposed to be... Come on..we don't have to debate all this over..it's ignorance... A famous author once wrote... NOW A DAYS WOMEN ARE TRYING TO DO EVERY THING THAT THE MAN DOES THAT THEY ARE FOR GETTING THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO WHAT MEN CANT
.. THIS IS NOT A DEBATE ABOUT WHAT MY MOTHER CAN DO BETTER IN THE HOUSE... IT'S A MATTER OF GIVING RESPONSIBILITY TO WHO SHOULD BE GIVEN TO..
I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT The only sensible post so far. Feminists don't really know what they want. Why can't humans learn from the lower animals, they have no school but maintained their pecking order for centuries without conflict. The weak yield to the strong and that's how it'll continue to be. |

gabng: If the expected reports from the NSA is sincere enough about the money found in Ikoyi, then expect very powerful men to fall.
Forget the stories of the three musketeers(or is it the three idiots?). The combined foolishness from Wike, Fayose and FFK shouldn't make us lose focus of the simple facts.
I do not want to discuss the Ameachi's angle. Only ignorant puppets would believe that Ameachi would take money to keep in a fortress closely associated to the PDP that wants his downfall by all means.
Let us logically discuss the more plausible option. The NIA.
The NIA boss is a PDP faithful and was appointed while the PDP was in power. They claim that money was meant for covert operations. No matter how I look at the plausible facts, this Oke man is dead meat.
Firstly, did the DG NIA inform the presidency or not of such operations after he took over from the PDP? If he didn't, then that is treason. He certainly was hiding that money for certain criminals who still claim to be holy.
Secondly, the angle of the PDP former chair is valid, and indeed he used to own the house but it was sold. But the story gets even more exciting. The apartment was sold to Thabi Ventures Limited, a company owned by Mrs. Folashade Oke, the wife of the DG, NIA.
Why would the DG plan to use money meant for covert operations and store such in what is best described as 'personal property' which is outside any military or para-military confinements?
What type of covert operation would require monies to be left idle for more than two years? Where they planning to execute their covert operation in 2019 or 2023?
The office of the NSA and the attorney general would be making final recommendations soon to the presidency based on all facts. It is a good thing the EFCC and FG have refrained from joining the speculations. It is my belief that if the NSA ain't compromised, powerful people should be indicted, and if not, at the very least the head of Mr Oke should be delivered on a platter of gold to the nation.
Finally, to the Wike worshippers, he already said the people of Rivers should go to pray so the heart of the FG can be touched to return the money supposedly stolen by Ameachi. What a ridiculous joke. Rather than go to court, a governor is recommending prayers. Even a clown won't utter such.
I used to think Fayose was the greatest backward comedian governor until I met Wike. As a personal opinion from me, I greatly believe that money was stolen and a part of it was to be used to sway elections in Ekiti and in 2019. The many dramas around is only trying to shield some very important people. We patiently await what the office of the NSA would recommend to the FG. Until then, wailers please make less noise biko.

https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/jonathan-nominates-anohu-amazu-as-pencom-boss/51074.html " President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday forwarded the name of Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu to the Senate for confirmation as substantive director general of the National Pension Commission (PenCom).
Jonathan, in a letter addressed to Senate President David Mark, said the appointment was in consonance with the provisions of the Pension Reform Act 2004 as amended. Anohu-Amazu has been in acting capacity since December 2012when the tenure of the former D.G. M. K. Ahmad ended. She started her working career in 1998, meaning her years of experience fell short of the requirement of the former law which informed the decision to reduce it to 15 years to enable her be appointed, our correspondent reports. However, the proposal was opposed by lawmakers including Senate President David Mark in May last year who said it was wrong to enact a law to favour a particular individual. Industry operators also faulted the move to lower the bar for a DG, saying it portends grave implications for a fast growing industry that controls more than N4 trillion. Her appointment as acting DG in December 2012 had sparked crisis at PenCom given that she was due to retire at the time, having served for eight years as company secretary on the level of director. On November 20, 2013, in the wake of the succession crisis, President Jonathan appointed Anohu-Amazu as commissioner representing the South-East zone on the PenCom board which paved the way for her to continue in acting capacity pending the passage of the controversial amendments to the extant law which had barred her from holding the office as she was not qualified then. In April, 2013, Jonathan forwarded the Pensions Reform bill to the National Assembly in which he requested for the reduction of the years of experience needed for a director general of the commission from 20 to 15 years, ostensibly paving the way for the eventual appointment of Anohu-Amazu as substantive PenCom boss." If he was GOD why did he cry "my father my Father why have you forsaken my me"?. If he was God why did he say "I and my rather are one?" Believing in God should not he equal to stupidity. |

My sister be careful about abroad oo so that u won't end up in the hands of human traffickers given that you're female. Continue your justle and look for small scale business to do while you search for employment.
A lot of our brethren over there hide when they meet Nigerians who are on business trip due to the type of job they do.a |
