Theophinio: How do I make this corn starch
Is it with the yellow or white corn
How is the process like Any of these can do. Corn starch is different from corn flour. Corn starch is highly processed. I don't even like taking the corn starch (akamu) as the nutrients have been processed off. |
Food › Re: Difference Between Corn Starch And Corn Flour by greenmonk: 8:44am On Mar 29, 2023 |
CyberHustle: I was wondering if the corn flour can be sieved to get akamu/custard or something very close? Why go through the stress of soaking, wet grinding, and wet seiving to get wet pap? The corn flour is even more nutritious and healthier than akam or custard as the fibre content is intact. |
Politics › Re: We Don’t Want War With The Igbos by greenmonk: 10:08am On Mar 05, 2023 |
Does that your country not include your village. Stop claiming nationality when you want to emasculated others in their home territories when you cannot allow such in your home state. I believe in live and let live but it has to be mutual. Ibos should learn to be respectful to their host communities. I have lived with yorubas and hausas and have not heard them deriding their host communities. Chest beating is never a very good virtue. gidgiddy: Your hospitality is deliberate? So 'one Nigeria' is deliberate? Im happy people are talking like this so my fellow Igbos know what Nigeria is about. In your own country, someone tells you he is accommodating you
In your own country, you are called a migrant
In you own country, you are told have less rights depending where you go to
But as soon as you say you want to go your way, become independent, have your own country and not be headache to anybody, all those who said their hospitality is deliberate, accomodating, and that you are a migrant, will be ready to fight war so that you go no where
I understand, but I will never understand |

Romance › Re: The Importance Of A Male Child - A Bitter Experience by greenmonk: 3:26pm On Jan 18, 2023 |
Dtruthspeaker: Exactly o. The issue of male /female offsprings is complicated in our society (nigeria). Most women will argue that the gender does not matter but will not accept same in their fathers' household. Wether we like it or not the way we live doesn't revolve around the individuals or couples alone. I have seen instances where the lives of people in a female only families were at threat by the extended family because they want access to the property of the females only family. I have also seen whereby the wife stood her ground of not wanting any other person into the household other than her female children only to regret her actions later at the demise of her husband when her children were denied access to the extended family properties because they were females. I have also seen where the threat from the extended family vanished when the man took another wife and male children were born into the family. The truth is that each gender have a role to play in the family and society so couples must endeavour to raise their children as useful members of the society until such a time that our traditional development puts less emphasis on the gender of the offsprings. That time is fast approaching as the performance of the individual child becomes less dependent on the size of land owned by respective families. |

Imagine the level of wastage of resources in Rivers state in building of over head bridges in the name of flyovers when 80% of Rivers state is without good roads and have the poorest network of roads in nigeria. I don't praise mediocrity. How can you celebrate a culvert as a suspended bridge. |

able20: Dr Ajulo and co are drunk in the afternoon very unusual. Obi is fully equipped & ready, only crazy deluded Ode will say such. Our country is been destroyed and vandalized by those corrupt politicians with structures and consultations. Let us try some different from the usual way that never worked. Don't mind them. Twice in my life I have been given job positions that I have not done before but because I have the zeal I excelled in those two positions to the chagrin of those those who expected me to fail. Running a country or an organisation is always team working especially if you have people of like mind working together. These political jobbers should continue supporting their old crooks who have ran Nigeria into the mud and allow the youth who support and want Peter Obi to elect him to repair the country that they have damaged. |
