Family › Re: What Can I Do? My Two Sons Are Not My Biological Sons. by greenmonk: 8:58pm On Mar 29, 2017 |
shugarush92: I am here to narrate my story of how I messed up my family due to my too much quest for wealth. I am John Udeh by name, from Enugu State. Married and was blessed with four kids; three boys and a girl.
i am a wealthy and well to do business man. My business is mainly outside the country and this takes me out of the country all the time. Sometimes, I stay two or three months without my family whenever I travel.
This my oversea business trips started after the birth of my first child which was a girl. My wife complained of my constant absence in the family and get tired of it, for I always give deaf ears to all her complaints. Most often, when she get annoyed of my not being around, I would tell her that my younger brother Sunday and my best friend Jude are always there for you. Unknown to me that I am inviting problems to my family. She would continue to plead that I stay at home and do my import business here in Nigeria.
Moreover, I continued with my traveling business until after the birth of my last son, when my goods were seized by Customs and I have to stop the importing business because they refused to release my goods and my money tied down there.
Unbelievably, the three months I stayed together with my family gave me so much joy. This joy made me to forget about my seized containers and worries as I realized that I have been missing a lot without them.
Unfortunately, my joy was cut short by a bad news. It happened that my second son was rushed to the hospital due to persistent fever and after giving him injections and drugs prescribed by the doctor, the sickness continued. We decided to do the blood test of which DNA test was included, when the result came out, the DNA test shows that he is not my son and this was hard for me to believe. Then I asked my wife if what the doctor said was the truth, she could not give me a reasonable answer. So, I decided to carry out the DNA test of my remaining kids and it shows that my first daughter and my first sons are my kids and the other two sons are not.
Finally, my wife admitted that she slept with my younger brother on one occasion due to some circumstances beyond her control, that it happened unknowingly. And with my best friend, whom I asked to be checking on them when I was away. So, my two last sons belong to my younger brother and my best friend.
Where do I go from here? These innocent kids do not know anything and I love them so much. Both my brother and my friend are yet to know about the new development. Should I let them know? What about my wife, should I forgive her? I feel that I created room for her betrayal. I hope this my story will serve as a lesson to other men. [http://www.familygists.com/2017/03/what-can-i-do-my-two-sons-are-not-my.html] Op, forget about DNA or no DNA. You have four children and I'm sure you are comfortable materialwise. Love your God given children and forget whatever any doctor have put into your head. If dnas can be the same why is your own and that of your brother not the same. What you have others care seeking to buy in the black market in the name of adoption. Don't mess up the lives of innocent children because of so called DNA test. Some people may advise you otherwise but I bet you won't live a happier life by taking their advice. If you can forgive your wife by taking part of the blame why then mess up the innocent children's life. |

They don't have business with the port... so having the owners of the cars pay for their wrong doing anytime it is detected, is a way of discouraging others not to follow that route.. So it is right for customs to collect egunje from smugglers and let them pass the border only to come to the streets to terrorize the end user? |

Caveatemptor: Agent is the representative of the importer . In the (CEMA) Customs and Excise management act it is assumed the clearing agent is acting on behalf of the importer. The penalty for fraudulent evasion of appropriate duty to the (1)Importer-Forfeiture of goods to the government. (2)Agent-Forfeiture of his licence and a outright ban from operating the licence in any Customs formation nation wide. The question I want ask is who fixes the import duty for goods in this country. If the power is vested solely on customs then the law should be reviewed as the actions of the customs in recent years leaves much to be desired. policy summersaults are not the best way to run a country and for the fate of 200 million people to rest on the whim of a single person is very wrong. |

ItsMeAboki: If this is true, it would then appear that Dino did not pass on academic merit but only on supposed good behavior (which even so does not seem correct, because he was a troublemaker and the very reason why the university wanted him out at all cost). He was simply a scammer, scammer off the university through student unionism from which he was feeding fat on - so much for his integrity; which also accounts for his thuggish persona in the senate. There are trouble makers and there are trouble shooters. Employers and education administrators who know their onion don't like getting on the wrong side of the later. Even in industries they promote them to remove them from the side of the junior workers who ate usually greater in number. you can't rusticate a student who u have nothing to incriminate him. A student can graduate with course assignments and a little score from exams if the authorities suspect he deliberately flops his exams. |

Nairaland is a very ideal media to seek for help as it allows for anonymity until solution is found. It is a pity the level of stigmatization in our part of the world to health challenged persons. We need to change our attitude towards others. |

omenkaLives: I have said it and will continue to say it, the Senate, currently constituted, can never work for the good of the people. All that crap about Ali wearing uniform at all cost is but just a smokescreen to conceal their real intent of edging him out of the office because of his dogged insistence of doing the right thing.
We always knew that once we scratch a little below the surface, the truth would come gushing out like blood out of a severed vein.
The free meals these guys are accustomed to aren't forth coming no more hence their frustrations with fellas like Ali and Magu.
It is incumbent on all well meaning Nigerians to lend their unalloyed support to those two. The Senate doesn't mean well for us, and discerning Nigerians can see right through their gimmicks. So you people are saying it is better to check vehicle import duties on the road than at the ports? and also to subject vehicles more than 20 years old to custom checks. Who is trying to fool who here? Customs should do their work st their duty posts. |

And I've also met others(13-15yrs), sadly, bunch of dunderheads who keeps jumping classes till they're out of sec at 13/14, of course thanks to the parents. They don't learn what they're supposed to learn. I don't get the rush. neoclassical: I woke up this morning with the news that FCSC has shortlisted lists of successful candidates in the ongoing recruitment exercise by the Commission in various Federal Ministries.
Succinctly, I have a friend who studied Business Administration with 3rd Class, while I have Msc and Bsc (2.1) all in Economics. Both of us applied for the same position (SGL 09) in the Ministry of Trade & Investment. Perhaps, to my greatest perplexity, this guy's name was shortlisted while mine was conspicuously missing. Just a few minutes ago he opened up to me that the father made "some calls" on his behalf prior to this time.
For your information, we are of the same age bracket, applied for same position, from the same State. So what criteria could have been used to disqualify someone with Msc and Bsc (2.1) and someone with a 3rd Class was selected.
Holding other factors constant, I am so happy for him and I am so expectant that mine is coming. But this has kept me in an awe position, as the whole scenario depicts lack of correlation between merit and success in this entity called Nigeria. WHAT A COUNTRY? So help me God! Oga op, you're over qualified that's why they went for a lower grade whom they will pay less. With your MSC I advise you look for job even in a private company tp gain some experience so as to secure employment as a mature candidate. Entry point employers will always go for the lower certificate. |

tochukwuifeduba: The Nigerian Naira on Friday, March 10, crashed against the American Dollar, Pound Sterling and Euro at the parallel market, hours after President Muhammadu Buhari’s return from London.
According to reports, the local currency dropped one point against the dollar as it now at N463 per US dollar as against the N462 rate it was on Thursday, March 9.
The Naira also crashed to N555 against the Pound from the previous rate of N550 and weakened to N480 per Euro as against the previous rate of N477.
However, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has injected another $195 million into the foreign exchange market.
It was gathered that the apex bank sold $100 million on Thursday, March 9, $70 million to meet demand for personal and business travel allowance and $30 million to Bureaux De Change (BDCs).
This was disclosed by the president of Association of Bureaux De Change (ABCON).
He said 3,114 collected $8,000 each from the CBN.
