I don't think that one can be called a tunnel too. Maybe an underpass.
In migeria we have our own names for things so it cant be over pass, underpass & if cant be a tunnel then it is a FLY UNDER.
Technology MarketRe: Power Voltage Compatibility Help by greenmonk: 7:33am On Jun 05, 2016
the power pack is okay for the tv. The power difference is less than 2 watts & less than 3% total power rating of the original pack. But whats the rating of the tv.
RomanceRe: A Lady Went To Her Wedding In An Ambulance, See What Happened Next (PICS) by greenmonk: 3:27pm On Jun 04, 2016
Our ignorance and misuse of facilities are unqualed in the whole world. Ambulance is for conveyance of sick persons in an emergency but not to be abused and used to convey the dead. On second thought the empty cans we call ambolances in Nigeria are just "EMPTY CANS" on wheels.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Military Arrested Ten Innocent BOYS And Tag Them NDA by greenmonk: 8:51am On May 30, 2016
From d trend on this post I pity the future of this country seeing the reasoning capacity of young Nigerians who are wont to lead nigeria 2moro. As long as d person arrested is not related to you d NA is doing a fabulous job. Every innocent person arrested & brutalised swells d rank of potential NDA or potential criminals. The NA should be careful in whatever they in d niger delta in order not to worsen a bad situation.

Except your people use "football age", there is no 14yr old in that picture. Everybody there na dopa!

The way the army/navy have gone about this is quite professional and suggests some forward intelligence. I believe the innocent will not suffer, even if they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is also our duty, as civilized citizens, to insist on justice and fair play.
What you are saying is that criminals who blow up oil facility will go back to their village & wait for NA to come & arrest them after several warnings from the security operatives.
See the level of wisdom u display and 2morrow u will aspire to lead in this country

That's the Reason most of u would always be stuck with ur ungratefulness. Ruling Nigeria is the most Difficult Presidential Task in the World.. Well I don't blame anyone Even the JEWS still don't believe JESUS is the Son of God.
Did the task of of ruling Nigeria just become a difficult task or it was the same when GEJ was there? I thought it's just a walk through the park and flying in private jet all over the world.
PoliticsRe: FG To Invest In Hydro, Solar For Better Power Supply by greenmonk: 2:08pm On May 24, 2016
obailala:
India produces 12,000mw of its electricity from solar alone. 12,000mw is almost 3 times Nigeria's current capacity; if we can have up to half of that, I can assure you we would have up to 20hrs of electricity per day nationwide.
In economics u dont talk of numbers in isolation to other parameters. India with a population of over 1 billion and organised tax system cannot be compared with lootocratic Nigeria where people go into public office with sole intention to steal. If our senate was to be in india alot of them would have resigned by now from the scandal they are enmeshed in.

I expected that many far northern state shuld have been depending on solar already.

I read somewhere that if only 1% of our 937,000sqkm of our land mass can be used for solar farm then we would generate more than 10x the amount of power we need..... and i wonder with all the billion spent every yr and the area that has been encroached by the desert ,which will give us areas of maximun irradiarion, why we have not even look at that alternative all this while
The fact is that at the current cost of solar power no country including the US have been able to use it beyond a back-up mode for essential services. Anybody dreaming to use solar in commercial volume is just day-dreaming for now.
Foreign AffairsRe: Could 1,000 Roman Soldiers Face 10 Modern Soldiers? by greenmonk: 3:14pm On May 15, 2016
In real life there is no limtless ammunition. A soldier can only carry enough ammo permitted by his size & strenth. If the seals is to have limitless ammo then the roman soldier will also have limitless horses and mauls which they can use as canon fodders.

Some people on this forum are so depressingly dumb they can hardly form an independent opinion. Imagine the foolishness they display with such immeasurable pride, waving it like some victory medal.

Someone says something very dumb and before you know it, a thousand of them file up behind the post, echoing the same dumb opinion, patting themselves on the back for their collective stupidity..

"..then why is he borrowing?"... and the rest of them have nothing else to contribute than ask "why is he borrowing?"

With reason giving way to stupidity, they imagine tens of billions is all we need to finance the budget.

Na wa oo. cheesy
You being a very wise man think that the best way to run and grow an economy is to run after thieves for over one year while the economy crunbles?
just like leaving your gate open to chase thieves from your compound.
Running a country takes more than chasing thieves & perceived political foes.
Other African economeis that borrowed GEJ blueprint are still bouyant while we wallow in self deceit in the guise of fighting corruption.
What has been lost in nigerian economy due to incompetency in managing the economy in the last one year is more than 10 times the $2.1 for which dasuki is being harrassed. As we continue to crucify Dasuki what step have we put in place to prevent repeat of same offence.

This investment scheme is a scam. I have tried it and burnt my fingers. I actually deposited the said amount into Ambubes account. I sent him scanned copies my driver's licence and the teller. Days later someone called me from Ambubes asking why I paid such an amount into their account . I told him it was supposed to be for an agric investment and he told me that thier company is neither involved agriculture nor agricultural product exportation. Rather they are into e-money. He told me it must be a scam. A mumu like me grin grin grin had already fallen for it. He paid in 60k into Ambubes' Account and the scammer (Mr Ojo, I guess) had come with some explanations and presented the mumu's scanned ID card and the teller and was able to collect the money.

When the man at Ambubes saw another deposit (this time, from me) and the scammer came with same with same explanation for collection, he was suspicious. He called the number on the teller (my number) and scheme came into the open. I have been promised the reinbursement of the my money.

The scheme is a lie. Mr Ojo is the scanner. Open ya eyes well well. Was I greedy? Yes. Wanting to reap where I did not sow. Fellow Nairalanders, don't fall into it. I almost had my fingers burnt.
ojo did u see this? Reply please.

No fire codes.

How many markets

1.Have stalls built out of fire retardant materials.

2.Have fire safety drills every month

3.Have fire extinguishers at strategic positions.

4.Have fire safety lectures for traders.

5.Have properly built buildings.Have electricals been properly installed.? Access routes (The fire in Kano was made worse by faulty electrical equipment and zero access routes...for the firemen to come in and fight the fire.Infact the Fire Serivce in Kano complained that they could not get to the source on time because the route was blocked. And it was probably by illegaly placed stores.).

6.Are tidy (A lot of the garbage in many markets are flammable).

7) Properly store fuel for generating sets.

cool Insurance? Do traders get themselves insured.? (Banks do it).

9) Have safe exit routes.

10) Are located in cities with proper fire services .Infact....how is the Nigeria Fire Serivce? Is it equipped with the proper equipment to put out fires.?(You cannot use water to put out all types of fires)

If there is a fire in any market in Nigeria....blame the market people, the market management, the local government, and the state for the fire. Don't look elsewhere.

When I lived abroad...the flats where i lived had strategically placed fire extinguishers on every floor. And the building was built to code.
You hit the nail squarely on the head but the frequency of the fires are suspicious.
I wish people like you head our LG councils to engender proper town planning and regulation.
