He tried for Oyo State
From the angle of detachment, u can’t always say it’s a bad thing, those ppl that brought him in might be trying to wreck the finances of the state…that’s usually what causes disputes

On the IGR issue, he’s doing well
Most state increases igr by taxes, increased IGR doesn’t mean the people of the state are living well

Apc is even a joke, giving someone like teslim folarin ticket is a no no
Someone known for different assassinations
Oyo ppl go see shege if dem vote seyi out

You can't come in with them and discard them. That was his mistake.

Nigerian politics is not yet developed to that extent.

Inexperience is what might kill makinde's ambition. He detached himself from almost every politicians that brought him to power and they are now against him.

I won't miss him but he is a governor that kept almost all his campaign promises except that he didn't improve Oyo IGR significantly.

The state potential is more than that but all our governor's are lazy.

If i knew what i know now i would have married at 23., When you are 45 and with your children looking like your siblings, you will understand. Though it needs a different level of maturity

Please take this advice and don't mind all those saying, "wait till you are 27". Nobody marry late and not regret it later.

If marrying will make you poor, the single should be the richest in the world. Infact, as a married man, having a wife will make you strive harder with your business than remaining single.

They said you need emotional development to marry but there kids does not need that to enter University at 16years.

They said you're too young to marry but are you too young to fornication?

Start a family abeg.

In as much I don't tolerate bigotry and tribal incitement

You should also purge away hate from your heart

In this world we came with nothing and we gonna all die taking nothing to the grave even your land of origin

So why are we just hating ourselves over nothing?

Nairaland is always promoting tribal wars ... Seun is also low-key pushing this agenda..

It won't END WELL for all of us if we continue acting this way

I swear to God, I became (more) tribalistic when I discovered Nairaland. I never knew Igbo hate Yoruba and vice versa.

No Yoruba will go to the east and start pressing ground anyhow.

It is the same proudness that has given you people nothing in the national level.

Awon toju won ti blind . The day power slips off Tinubu's hands in Lagos, they'd either stone him or send his family back to osun, by the time they see real developmental progress in Lagos. Our region is the most backward in lagos, yet the LG with the largest population in Lagos and Nigeria. I'd have chosen to register and voted where I live in Lagos but I deliberately went to Alimosho to register as a voter. I can't forget my roots.

See the guy called Olamilekan obasa from Agege. Agege is his constituency but he lives in Lekki. I pray that LP guy sacks him come Saturday. No oyinbo would represent a constituency but live elsewhere. How would he know the yearnings of his people? Most of those supporting this madness are either not resident in lagos or are illiterate.

I really wish the Tinubu dynasty crumble one day in Lagos but not to a Gbadebo who they said could not speak the language of his people but could speak that of the Igbo. A person who have track-records of insulting the Yoruba's on his social media and standing for the igbo's value but the vice-versa is what he doesn't do.

A non-yoruba ruling Lagos would will seal it as a developed state but not yet to people who are already saying Lagos is a No man's land without having the state already.

Leave all this educated and civilised talk, igbo's are one of the most tribalistic people, why are our people not staying in their place? Atleast the East used to be more peaceful than the north, why is there more Yoruba's in the north by far than in the East.

If GRV wins, it is still good. It is either we come to know how badly we have been governed or get to know more of his true nature and who the igbo's are truly.

To me, Gbadebo is still a Yoruba and whatever happens, it will be a win-win for lagosians and the Yoruba's going forward as it will determine how we vote in the future.

This is my observation.
I think large part of Lagos Yorubas are having serious psychology issues with self and mental health.

The recent tribal outburst can only be attributed to 2 things
🍷 Low self esteem
🍷 Inferiority complex.

Sad truth

Low self esteem?
Inferiority complex?

Kini E no gan na?

It is just like a black man that went to US and see some indegene suffering then you feel you're better than the entire indigenes.

Yes, the percentage of wretched people in Lagos far exceed that of US but the analogy still stand.

I have never for once envied an Igbo man. Fun Kini?

When you muster the cojones to creep out of your cocoon in the woods of Ogbomosho, then you can engage me in an argument...

Lagos was the former capital of Nigeria where most of the national investment are concentrated...

Virtually all Nigerians come to Lagos but the Igbos have earned their enviable position in Lagos.....the operative word is "earned"...

Stop rummaging for defeatist excuses...

Some of the social miscreants called agberos constituting nuisance for taxpayers and economic linchpins of Lagos can make their way to places like Aba where they can garner skills for artisanship in shoemaking and leatherwork...

But the lure of easy morning and predilection for a life of pleasure would make them remain permanently domiciled in Lagos and instead live off the effort and sweat of economically relevant and hardworking Nigerians.

Don't sustain an argument your are condemned to lose, ogbeni....

Lols, creep out of my caccon? Did I tell you I stay in ogbomoso? I have been to almost every part of Nigeria and the worst I have been to is igboland, I swear to God who made me this is the truth from my heart.

See this man from potopoto republic forming for me.

What have your earned? What do you people have?
What should Dangote do? What should abdulsamad rabiu say? Who are the big Igbo that are dominating Lagos? This nonsense ego is what always make me laugh.

What are the percentage of the agberos in comparison to the mammoth of people in Lagos? Who love easy money like those people that goes everywhere in the world to carry drug? People who naturally do not glorify hardwork but instant gratification.

Point for point, tell me one thing igbos are good at and I'll give you 1000 that Yoruba's are better in.

If you want to argue tribe, then go and meet your mate, again go and meet your mate not Yoruba's.

It is every tribe in Nigeria hate igbos ..... Why? We are all jealous? Lols

I will delete all this comment later, I don't think I have every been this tribalistic but mehn, kilon gbe ton gbin?

Just like I said, you are not adding up...

How come the Igbos are present in virtually every part of Nigeria contributing immensely to the socio-economic development of those places?

Are all the places "accommodating"?

Is it rocket science to see that there must be a variable responsible for their successes...

Put an Igboman in Afghanistan, he will find a way to thrive amidst the Taliban or Al Qaeda...

Go to Igboland and carve out a niche through which you can render services or meet needs, the consequence will be success..

All these lazy excuses of lack of accommodation you are giving are nothing but straw man argument...

Is Lagos accomodations with the scourge of agberos and multiple taxation?

Stop wasting my time...

You're the one wasting your time with unnecessary chest-beating. Again you would not leave your place in llarge number if it is conducive for you. Everybody wants to migrate to US but you hardly see anyone happy to move to nigeria.

There's no tangible reason for me to live in igboland but there are 100000000 reason for you to be in south west. let me not forget to mention that the Lagos you people hate so much is like abroad to your people. it is always the question ....... Are you from Lagos?

Yoruba are also everywhere, infact i doubt if you people are up to us in the north and i am sure the hausa in the west will be more than that of those in the east?

so what are you saying?

You are not making sense...

You lack the drive to thrive outside your comfort zone and that is where the Igbos are unique...

There is no place an Igbo man cannot go...

He turns adversity into enablement...

Get yourself engaged so that you will have little time for defeatist victim mentality.

I dare you to make your way to Igboland and make your mark in the ultra-competitive environment therein...

You are the one not making sense with unnecessary chest beating. What is competitive in igboland? is it academically or what exactly.

My friends were doing business in Igboland and making good money before we all finished service and ran away from your place. it is simple, here is better than there and you people are not as accomodating as other people.

Tell me how many Yoruba or Hausa's has made it by living in your place. If you want to attribute the characteristic of been able to thrive to your tribe, tell me dangote or otedola is an igbo nah.

Tell me when igbo has been targetted and attcked in our lands before?

tell me.....

Does that make them Igbos?

You guys have to rise above this pettiness and embrace diversity.

Get off your lazy behind and proceed to Igboland. I can guarantee you that if you make your mark, you can easily win an elective position.

Maitama Sule or thereabouts used to be the mayor of Enugu...

Why should it be anybody's fault that you lack the venturesomeness to leave your neck of woods?

Igboland is open and welcoming to all residents irrespective of tribe or creed.

You are trying to disparage a sterling candidate who has checked almost all the box just because you cannot process his Igbo-part parentage....

I feel sorry for you....

I don't care whether you people vote for chinedu or not but sir, you're a lier.

I served in igboland and i don't know about other people but if you are a muslim or a northerners you are not properly welcomed there. How many yoruba's are in your land? will it be accomodating that people will not troop in there?

Although disappointing
Tinubu tried to hold Lagos with the figures he pulled so far. Lagos is the Capital of Southern Nigeria, so what were you expecting?
This was a fight between ibos+SS+woke yorubas against Tinubu supporters in Lagos who are mainly yorubas and maybe Hausas in Lagos.

I hope Tinubu and yorubas have learnt a bitter lesson from Lagos Elections not to befriend and feed a cub because it is hopeless and dying. It will grow up and eat u up someday.

I'm happy yorubas can now sit down and ask qtns as to how they got everything wrong and redress it with BAT as President.

The take home from this defeat is..

Yorubas need to stop drafting non yorubas into the civil service and stop giving them prominent appointments. There are always technocrats who can always fit into any political office from the SW

Yorubas need to stop selling their lands to non yorubas in Lagos

Yorubas need to stop giving out local government of origins to non yorubas in Lagos

Yorubas need to stop allowing non-yorubas contest for Elections in Lagos or SW

Yorubas need limit the numbers of voters registration of non yorubas going on in Lagos, they care so much about Lagos and don't care if their homes rot, Henceforth let them go home and vote. They can't come and dictate to you on how to govern urselves after creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.

Congratulations to the incoming President of Nigeria BAT the ASIWAJU of Lagos nothwitstanding

I'm a Yoruba but sir, this is nonsense.

Happening in Lagos shows that it is a developed place.

I Like Tinubu but he has to leave Lagos alone one day. Let see what other people will do.

How is Atiku better than Tinubu?

They are both equally 'corrupt'.

Tinubu has experience Atiku does not have. Atiku is coming back with Dino, Saraki and people we already know with corruption.
Tinubu might be corrupt but he always look for the best brain. Look at the people around him and people he has mentored before ,mention someone that is not far better than the people in Atiku's camp. Fashola, Ambode, Osinbajo. Just mention one person that Atiku's men are better than.

Many of you people just have unnnecessary hatred for Tinubu
