nihilistjnr: Felix is on a SIX(!!!) Year deal.
At this point, we deserve everything we get as a club.
We signed him on loan, he flopped, went to 2 further clubs to flop, and then we decided to reward him with a reportedly 300k/week contract for 6 Years.
Maybe Walter White isn't actually dead, cos na premium stuff dem dey baz for Cobhams LOL! I’m still leaning on few good performances of his i glimpsed at Barca. Did he go ahead to flop? But Felix was never a bad player few years back at Benfica, what changed? See as everyone just dey pursue am away like the fart of a leprous witch. |

Singapore1: Remember those times when stores are running a promo? You see a TV worth $1000 being sold for $500, and you jump on it, shouting, 'It's cheap, it's cheap!' But in the end, you still spent $500. Felix can’t be worse than Antony, Darwin Nunez, Gabriel Jesus etc. For that fee, I’ll gladly accept him as a squad player. No big expectations, turn the music on when you’re in the mood, if you don’t want to, I’ll find solace in the fact that I only got you for 35m. |

Enzo5: I understand the annoyance is due to the high transfer fee but that's not Enzo Fernandez fault, changing managers every time is what makes it look like Enzo is not the same player. Enzo makes tackles as well, the loss is painful but the season is just beginning please let us watch patiently You’re now running a PR for yourself mate? |

I’ve been seeing lines like “the team isn’t built around Palmer, that’s why he struggled yesterday”, “you shouldn’t have sacked Poch, he brings out the best in Palmer” etc.
These are unfounded claims.
If there’s anyone who understands Palmer’s game more, it has to be Maresca himself. It was the Italian who took him through his development at City Academy before he was promoted to the senior squad.
Working with him now and getting him to fire should be an easy-peasy job. It’s not like we were playing manyoo or Everton, this was a fixture against the defending Champions and with a team still work in progress, there was little even the 2023/24 Palmer could have done. |

popizaino: I second this. Ibime: Surprisingly we have been quite compact. Thankfully a lot different from what we saw in preseason 1. Our press on City’s own half was much better than what I saw under Poch. The intensity and the determination to win possession of the ball as close to City's goal as possible was evident today. Notably, this pressure saw City defenders giving away possession through the course of the game. 2. Bar the two silly errors that led to City’s goals, I think our entire unit were compact & organized. For the most period of the game, we prevented the spaces City needed to play in and break any lines, this Maresca made work by keeping the distance between the defenders and midfielders quite tight. It’s one tactical detail which Poch clearly didn’t understand last season, which always left us wide and vulnerable, thereby, leading to the horrendous errors of Caicedo and the entire backline. 3. Maresca’s setup shows that it can beat the high press from the opposition. On couple of occasions today, I saw our defenders creating overloads to beat City’s high press, I never saw that happen last season. The only problem we’re going to have with this is having Sanchez in goal, his distribution is abysmal. There are couple more of them but I can’t put all into writing. However, we really need to work on our chances conversion, omo it’s appalling. Lastly, I think we’re going to have some midfield issues any time Lavia misses out. He seems to be the only one who knows how to sit deep and screen the backline, offering them the rare security they never enjoyed under Poch. Caicedo my nigga has Gattuso written all over him, while Enzo will be Enzo. We stayed compact and organized in the middle was primarily Lavia’s positioning. He left the pitch and Kovacic sliced through our loose pivot like a hot knife through the bread. |

Unlimited22: Nah this man is ruthless
Chalobah, Gallagher, and now Chilwell and Sterling? Very ruthless. His pressers alone are windstorms. Such balls he’s got to make serious calls most of our previous managers couldn’t make. Funny enough, it’s just English boys that he’s packing up. |

BlueAngel444: Mckenna is as good as I thought he would be, Ipswich may be finishing among top 10 this season, most likely a mid table finish. You spoke so soon. What helped their first half performance was that high press. Liverpool have been press resistant this half, throwing direct quick passes forward and are now knocking them out of shape. |

Ibime: They will mostly claim to support lower league clubs and there is nothing anyone can do about it
Most English people have a lower league club which is their local club and a Premier League club
Eg Macclesfield and Man Utd, Southport and Liverpool, Borehamwood and Arsenal, Kingstonians and Chelsea etc
All you will see is them claiming the local component which is usually a club in Conference or League 2 And buried will be the idea of these people. The FA just did a Tinubu, leaving wetin dey face Nigeria to begin change national anthem. |

Bruno showing lack of predatory instincts. He isn’t a CF and can never be. This isn’t even a false nine setup for him, Ten Hag did him dirty by placing him right inside the box.
The best he can offer right there is to play-make and dictate the pace of the balls meant to be buried in the onion bag. |

Ballzproblemm: OFFICIAL: Premier League referees will now have to reveal which clubs they support in an attempt to be more transparent towards supporters.
time to see what club Taylor supports I read this yesterday and believes it makes no sense, rather this move would heighten the current inconsistencies amongst refs. If Taylor goes ahead to say he’s a Chelsea fan, how do you validate such claim? If he says he’s a Utd fan, are there witnesses or a source(s) who knows of such claim? If he ends up not getting Chelsea’s games because the FA were informed he’s a fan of the London outfit, so must try to play fair by giving him Manyoo games where he’s a truly a boyhood fan, wouldn’t it be a ridiculous case of the FA shooting themselves on the foot? |
