“Curiously too, in a State like Yobe where it was established that the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Abu Zarma received N15 million bribe from the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Zakari Deba to influence the State Governorship election, the tribunal did not nullify the election.” |
DON'T BE MISINFORMED , WIKE IS STILL THE GOVERNOR. Though the Rivers election has been nullified , fresh election ordered in 90days. Though it is a known fact that if election is held 20times in Rivers state, PDP will win 20times but constitutionally, a tribunal is an administrative court and as a court of first instance, its decisions doesnt taken imidiate effect until it's position is upheld by an appeal court and later the apex court. Meanwhile, still on the ealier decision of the new chairman of the tribunal on assumption as the replacement of Justice pindiga, there will be a ruling by the supreme court on Tuesday 27th on whether the tribunal has the right to seat in Abuja and if the judgment goes in favour of Gov Wike, the implication is that all the decisions of the tribunal is null and void and all matters relating to the governorship election in Rivers state killed till 2019. Meanwhile, Gov Wike is still the governor of Rivers state until the supreme court takes a position on the matter. pls don't be misinformed.... With Wike I stand. .... |

Governor Wike insists, Police officer that killed bus driver yesterday in Port Harcourt must be brought to justice.... His Excellency stated this today while addressing thousands of protesters at Mile 4 Market junction area of Port Harcourt. He warned that no one should take Laws into their hands no matter the provocation. He hinted the protesters that he had earlier discussed on phone with the Commissioner of Police on the matter and the CP is taking actions accordingly. He regretted the killing of the bus driver by the Police officer and assured that justice must be served for the purposes of deterrence. The Governor who was on a routine tour of inspection of projects when he ran into the protesters told them to leave the road for normalcy to return to the area. The Governor renewed his administration's commitment to protect life and property..
