morr1tz: My bother submitted his visa application at Abuja just two days ago and this morning received this email from ukba;;

Your application has been approved and the visa has been issued. We aim to return passports to the VAC within 2 working days. You can check the location of your passport at www.ukvac-ng.com.

I thought the process takes up to two weeks. When I applied last year mine took about 8 working days and I thought they don't state whether the visa approval status normally.


Has anyone experienced this b4

It is genuine I got that same message the same week 4 days after my interview/application. Am guessing the are targeting approving student visa within 2 working days.

Now this is very disturbing n funny at d same time.
I have asked all d questions on earth here and never for once did anyone said anything about appointemnt letter.
I booked my appointment online and expected they shd av like a log to knw those scheduled for 2day.
Anyways, I have talked my way in. I just hope no other surprise awaits me.#tired

Please how do you get the best from your ba3 on this device. & physise have you flashed your device firmware to the last upgrade link you posted here the one with mk3 @ the end,what did you notice I.e any change with the previous firmware upgrade?

Please is it necessary to include the CAS letter or/and the Unconditional offer letter?

You are good to go and no need for the cas or unconditional offer letter what you will need is your cas number. Good luck once again

bunburized: When you say photocopies of all docs I assume u are referring to Vaf9, Appendix 8, Passport data page, bank statement and in my case Bsc degree certificate(this is d only doc stated in my cas).
What about the passport photograph? Should I affix it myself b4 heading to the vfs centre or I should wait until I get there?
How many passport photographs do I need?

Two photo passport ,make copies of all documents you are submitting eg your bsc and any other documents not the va9 or app8 also make a copy of the data page of your international passport and a copy of your bank statement.

Deposited my maintenance funds November 5th and printed today December 3rd. Am good to go y'all.

Finally got my visa 2day @ calabar via ups(courier) ,I applied and did my interview @ abuja vfs office last Monday

bunburized: I just printed out my completed visa application form and noticed an anomaly.
Under the visa applicant contact details section it is reflecting on the "Applicants(Landline) Telephone" 441612955000 which is the phone number of the University I gained admission to.
The "Mobile/Cellular" field is blank.
It seem they had picked up this information from the "What is the main address of where you will be staying whilst in the UK" field as that is the only place I wrote the University's contact details under the TRAVEL INFO section.
My questions are:
1. Can I use a pen to write my mobile number on the printed visa application form since that field is blank?
2. Can I edit the landline number to reflect mine or it can be rectified at the VFS centre if I bring it to their notice?
3. What exactly is the VAF9 form for and am I suppose to fill and submit that too? I know I will fill the Appendix 8 form but not certain about the VAF9 form. I had assumed it is the offline format of the visa application form.
4. Where an error is made in the completed visa application form what are the available remedies. Whether pre, during or post visiting the VFS centre?
I will appreciate a honest and informed opinion on the above.

4. Once you click on submit form you can not make any change on it that's why you can review your details before you submit your application.

Why you want to study the course? Why you picked the university you intend studying? And why you want to study in the UK.

bunburized: I am kinda confuse on the correct response to certain questions as I proceed with my online application at the visa4uk website.
Please what is the appropriate response for the following:
1. Duration of my stay. My Course begins 20th Jan 2014 and Ends 31st Jan 2015. That to me is 13months. So what is the correct response to the above?
2. There is a question about issuing authority. I got my passport from Ikoyi Lagos immigration office. Is it proper to write Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria? There seem to be another similar question asking of place of issue and this got me confused.
3. I am atttempting to collect the form from my laptop at home and I don't have access to a printer.
Can I complete the application on my laptop and go to a cafe for the print out or I have to complete the application from a system I can immediately print the form from?
Pls i will need assistance on the above as I don't want to make any mistake in filling in the wrong details.
