A man who turned up for his money in Enugu State, had his right ear bitten off by a debtor in a fight that occurred shortly after he arrived.

It was gathered that the creditor had gone to demand for his money from the debtor who has been owing him for a long time. However he got a fight instead, and his right ear which got bitten off was reattached at a local hospital in the area.

A baby was found abandoned in a church bathroom.

The child was found yesterday during Sunday service. The baby was neatly dressed and placed on a towel on the floor of the church toilet. No name or information was left with the child.

The child has now been taken in by Fountain of Love Orphanage.

A man has surrendered himself to the police after stabbing his wife.
Ricks Kameza, 30, stabbed his 25-year-old wife, Brenda Kapyola, multiple times, leaving her badly injured. The incident happened on September 19, 2018, in Sitima,T/A Mlumbe, Malawi.

The couple have been married for almost 5 years and blessed with a daughter named Sandra Kameza, 4.
The husband works in South Africa and while there, he got news that his wife was engaging in extramarital affairs. He reportedly returned home to Malawi in June 2018 to resolve the issue.

The matter was brought before marriage councillors to resolve but failed because a knife was found hidden under the pillow of the wife. When asked about the knife, the man said it will be used on his wife. This destroyed any chances of reconciliation.

The husband is reported to have left their home but came days later to collect his passport and beg for forgiveness which the wife rejected.
On September 16, 2018, the wife lodged a complaint at Thondwe Police with victim support unit. Two days later, the matter was resolved in favour of the wife who opted for divorce but the husband refused.

Then on Wednesday, September 19, the husband came home at night and climbed into the compound through the fence. He broke one of the windows to gain entrance into the house where he found his wife and hacked her with a knife.

Neighbours heard the wife's screams and came to her rescue while the husband ran away. He later surrendered himself to the police.
The woman is in a critical condition in a hospital while the suspect is in custody..

A little boy was reportedly thrown out of his master's home in Iyana Ipaja and has no where to go as his family live in the Eastern part of the country.

The child, identified as Ifesinachi Emmanuel Nwaeti, from Izii local government area in Ebonyi State, has reportedly been left stranded at Iyana Ipaja under bridge bus-stop with nothing but a couple of nylon bags containing all his earthly possessions. It was revealed that his master threw him out of the house since last night.

The child is alleged to have been asking passersby for help to get back to Ebonyi State, all to no avail. Concerned social media users have shared his photo online so that his family can be located.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Osun State Governorship election coming up on September 22, Senator Ademola Adeleke, says he is confident of winning the election.
Adeleke said this during a town hall meeting organised by Oduduwa Youth Development Initiative in Osun State on Wednesday.
“I will surely dance to government house by winning all the Local Government areas in Osun State on Saturday.

“I have been tagged ‘Dancing Senator’ but this shouldn’t be used against my personality because everybody dances. Have you seen someone who doesn’t dance,” he said.
Adeleke added that his love for dancing dates back to his school days when he used to go for a dancing competition.

“When I was in the university in the overseas, I used to go for a dancing competition. I do win the dancing competition. This is the reason why I was nicknamed ‘Jackson’ but my real name is Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke.

“There is no crime in dancing, my traducers are only trying to make a mountain out of molehill. I strongly believe in my supporter’s vote and by it I will dance to the government house by winning all in all the Local Government areas in Osun State.
Senator Adeleke also took a swipe at the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in the state. He said anyone who fails to pay his or her labourers is wicked.

“Anybody who fails to pay his or her labourers is wicked and I can boldly say that APC government is wicked for not paying her workers in the State.
“When I get to power I will overturn it by ensuring that the welfare of every worker in the state is catered for.

According to a statement signed by Mohammed Sani Katu, chairman of the NFF electoral committee, a contender in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) presidential election, Aminu Maigari, has been accused of certificate forgery.

following the development, the clearance issued to Maigari to vie for NFF presidency, has been withdrawn and substituted with a “provisional clearance”, adding that there are discrepancies in the certificates submitted by Maigari.


Katu who revealed that the committee received two petitions against Maigari, said furthet that the petitions, filed by Chuma Onye and Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe, are dated September 14 and September 17 respectively.


Sequel to receipt of the petitions, the electoral committee said it asked Maigari to defend himself by producing original documents of the Grade Three certificates that he submitted.
“However, as at the 18th of September, 2018, Alhaji Aminu Maigari failed to produce the original document,”
Katu said.

Few hours after news of confirmation of his certificate by WAEC emerged, the Nigeria police force has filed charges of examination malpractices, impersonation and criminal conspiracy against the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the coming Saturday’s election in Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke.



The police filed the charges at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Speaking to journalist in Abuja on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, said that investigations revealed that Senator Adeleke and his brother Sikiru Adeleke registered and sat for the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) 2017 as internal candidates, impersonating students of the school at the ages of 57 and 42 years respectively.

The police also said that the School Principal of Ojo-Aro Community High School, Egbedore Local Government Area, Osun State, and three others would equally be charged for abetting the crime.

A suspected thief, on Thursday, September, 13, 2018, escaped being burnt alive, thanks to the timely intervention of some policemen who whisked him away in Akwa Ibom State.

Identical twins leave London teenage gang life in the past to become multi-millionaires worth £41m after their cryptocurrency rockets in value


Two identical twins and former gang members are now worth £41million and friends with the rich and famous after launching their own cryptocurrency just last year.

Sam and Steve Nico Williams, 38, from Brockley, south-east London, have revealed how they turned their lives around, moved into finance and made their fortune.

Last year Steve launched the cryptocurrency, Populous (PPT) which is the 52nd most valuable cryptocurrency token in the world, worth £96.5million.

Populous is an invoice discounting platform that helps small and medium-sized businesses with cash flow problems to raise finance against invoices from the crypto community.

Their other investments include a stake in the Michelin-starred Restaurant Story in London Bridge, and a London estate agency chain.

The brothers are friends with a string of celebrities including rapper 50 Cent and former world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather.

Steve, the older brother by one minute, said: 'I have always been fascinated with the world of finance. We have gone through a lot together as brothers and it is great that all our hard work has paid off.'

Sam and Steve both attended Crofton Comprehensive in Lewisham, now renamed Prendergast Ladywell School, where 22 per cent of pupils get free school meals and exam passes are well below the national average.

Their mother, a chef, and their father, an accountant, moved to the UK from Nigeria and worked long hours to provide for their sons.

But Steve fell into the wrong crowd for a while, and 12 years ago was convicted of obtaining money by deception.


He said: 'It was a major wake-up call and I had plenty of time to think about what I was going to do with my life. I made a big mistake and I paid for it.

'I knew I had to turn my life around and work hard to achieve a good life for me and my family. I also want to give back by helping youths on the streets and those involved in street crime and I hope to inspire and create positive opportunities for them.'

Steve, described as 'the brains' behind Populous, is a commercial data expert and studied a GNVQ in Advanced Business at Crofton Comprehensive School in Lewisham.

Sam excelled at computer programming at the same school's sixth form.

After leaving school, the brothers started various businesses such as Tramp, a lifestyle and concierge magazine, and researched financial markets and data, before they decided to move into the lucrative world of cryptocurrency.


They worked solidly for four years to build the blockchain code for their tokens on their mum's kitchen table in Brockley and were shocked by the huge success when Steve put the Populous (PPT) token on the market in June 2017.

They originally thought it might raise a few thousand pounds, but 24 hours later they had assets worth £1.85million in Ethereum digital currency.

Sam said: 'The success Populous has exceeded all expectations - we thought it would do well but this has been phenomenal.

'We had been involved on the fringes of gangs as teenagers when we were growing up in South London - but it's fair to say that our lifestyles has changed completely in the past year.'

The brothers have released 37million PPT tokens to have funds to develop the coin further and retained 16 million PPT tokens which are currently trading at $3.42 which makes their current net worth £41.76 million, according to the CoinMarketCap table of the world's leading cryptocurrencies.

The value of cryptocurrencies changes daily, but all of Populous' early investors have made a fortune.

At the peak of the crypto market back in March 2018, the brothers were worth up to £1billion when the coin peaked at $68.91 but there has been a steep market change downwards since then.

Even now, with the market at its lowest ebb, they are still sitting on a fortune worth tens of millions.

Sam has now launched two crypto tokens, Zloadr, a due diligence token which can assess the profitability and liquidity of businesses, and DocTailor, a token for legal professionals to offer their services to the tech community.

Steve has launched a new business intelligence token 'PXT' alongside his latest venture, Populous World's XBRL platform.

The Williams brothers' business operations are located in Mayfair's exclusive Berkeley Square they also own a stake in Tom Sellers' critically acclaimed Michelin-starred Restaurant Story in London - famous for its 10-course set menu.

Speculation in cryptocurrencies has shot up in the past 18 months and the biggest and best known currency, Bitcoin, reached a value of $20,000 earlier this year, though it has since slumped back to just over $6,400.


Major banks are now getting involved in trading cryptocurrencies and Goldman Sachs launched a Crypto trading desk in May this year to capitalise on the huge growth of this market.

The Williams brothers are not the only identical twins who have made it big in crypto currencies.

American investors Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, whose story was featured in the movie The Social Network, have been hailed as the world's first bitcoin billionaires.

When the twins were awarded $65 million in cash and Facebook stock after a lengthy legal dispute with Mark Zuckerberg, they used their windfall to back Bitcoin and the decision paid off.

At the start of this year, their holding was worth more than $1 billion.

Red Cross has condemned the killing of Saifura Husseini Ahmed, one of the three humanitarian workers it abducted in Rann, Borno State, on March 1, 2018.

Ahmed was shot from behind by a member of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram.

In August, the three health workers begged Pres. Buhari to rescue them from captivity, saying Boko Haram had given them the “final warning”. .
The insurgents claimed that they had contacted government over the captives but did not get any response. “We contacted the government through writing and also sent audio messages but the government have ignored us.

So, here is a message of blood. The other nurse and midwife will be executed in similar manner in one month, including Leah Sharibu,” said a spokesman of the group in the execution video.

Details of how a woman was brutally killed in front of her two-year-old son has been revealed leaving many people in serious shock.



Her two-year-old son, named Samad, was said to have been the only other person in the room where his mother, Kehinde Olomola, was brutally stabbed by her assailant. However, while newsmen spoke with his aunt, uncle and grandmother on the death of his mother, the boy was up in his boyish element, and was oblivious of the mournful gathering.

At his grandparents’ home in Ilamoye community in Igede-Ekiti, headquarters of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Samad and his elder sister, Sadiat, were not knowledgeable enough to decipher what had just befallen them.

While the mournful elderly women around cautioned little Samad from running riot, the boy sustained his play but seemed to have recoiled only when Nigerian Tribune tried to hear if he understood what had happened.
Asked if he knew where his mother, whom he called by her name ‘Kehinde’, had gone to, the little boy flinched as he said “he has killed her!” in his tiny voice. This time, he became serious and solemn, while his answer drew another round of emotions from the mourning pack.

When Samad was asked the second time what happened to his mother, he repeated the “o ti pa” (he has killed her) in Yoruba with the same seriousness and long face with which he had answered the first question about her slain mother.

The ready contention was that already, the two-year-old has started a long journey into a world of trauma and bitter imaginations. To have been in the room where his mother was fatally stabbed in the neck by assailants, the previous night, is considered to be an experience a child doesn’t deserve.

The 25-year-old Kehinde Olomola had died from the injury she sustained when she was attacked in her home in the night of August 26th. Before she died at the Federal Teaching Hostpital (FETHI), Ido-Ekiti, on Monday, the day after, family members, friends, neighbours and doctors had tried to in vain to save her life.
Taiwo, her twin sister, claimed that when she called Kehinde on the telephone, at about 9pm on Sunday, “I heard a male voice in the background and I angrily ended the call after inquiring about the male voice.”

She said: “The male voice was strange to me, I got angry and I said ‘what is a man doing in your room at such late hour’. I didn’t wait for an answer as I ended the call. That was the last I heard from her until we learnt the following morning that she had been stabbed in the neck.”

Speaking on the death, their family friend, Daniel Oluwadare, said he received a phone call from the elder brother of the deceased, Tosin Olomola, that she had been injured and that he saw her in a pool of her blood. Oluwadare said when he arrived at her home, he saw the fatally stabbed Kehinde barely breathing and explained that neighbours had helped in getting her to the General Hospital, Iyin-Ekiti where she received first aid, before she was moved to FETHI.

Oluwadare said “she was butchered like a cow” and “I carried her and mounted a motorbike with a friend who helped with the ride to the General Hospital, Iyin-Ekiti.” He lamented that “at Iyin General Hospital, we were told no doctor was available. We begged to have the hospital’s ambulance to convey her to another hospital, and they said we could get the ambulance only after we have paid N20,000 as fee.”

However, he lauded the doctors at FETHI, saying “the doctors at FETHI did very well to bring her to, and although she could not be heard as she made efforts to respond when asked questions, she was able to say that she was attacked by one Odunayo. But we could not decipher the other name she was mentioning.”

Oluwadare said the doctors announced Kehinde’s death to them on Monday “after we thought that she had made it through.”
Her twin sister, who spoke on what she felt might have been the motive behind the attack, Taiwo Olomola, claimed that she knew the Odunayo that was said to have been mentioned by her late sister.

Taiwo said: “I know he often walks past the street where Kehinde lived. On that fateful Sunday, in the morning, Kehinde and I were washing at home at about 8:00 in the morning. Whike Kehinde washed plates, I washed buckets she used to fetch water.

“Before I took my leave, Odunayo passed by with his friend and said ‘Taiwo, I heard you want to get married. We will come and we will come with something. Kehinde responded, “if you must come, please, don’t come with Indian hemp and he said “we will come with something more than Indian hemp.”

She recalled that on that Sunday night, when she called her twin sister on the telephone, at about 9pm, “I heard a male voice in the background and I angrily ended the call after inquiring about the male voice.”

She said : “The male voice was strange to me. I got angry and I said ‘what is a man doing in your room at such late hour’. I didn’t wait for an answer as I ended the call. That was the last I heard from her until we learnt the following morning that she had been stabbed in the neck.”
She described her sister as “a lively person who plays with people and an easy-going person that wouldn’t be found in places of trouble.” Taiwo Olomola said a suspect had been arrested by the police, and insisted that “the police must help us get to the root of this painful murder; they must take appriopriate steps and ensure that whatever the laws prescribe for a murderer must be applied.”

The Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police Command, Mr. Caleb Ikechukwu, said the incident was reported shortly after the act was committed “and the police swung into action.”
Ikechukwu said “police officers were deployed to the scene, where they saw a pool of blood and blood on her phone and an axe that was used to commit the crime. Although the lady was rushed to the hospital where she later died.”

DSP Ikechukwu added that “before the lady died, she made a dying declaration of who attempted to stab her. She mentioned some name sand the police took note of those names and effected an arrest.”
He said about three persons were arrested regarding the crime. The suspects are already facing charges in court.

Police in Kuala Lumpur detained 25 foreigners including Nigerians, who were part of a Love Scam syndicate in six raids conducted in the Klang Valley.

Speaking during the Press conference at the Federal Police headquarters on Thursday, September 13, Datuk Ahmad Noordin Ismail, Federal Police Commercial Crimes Investigation Department deputy director (cyber crime and multimedia investigations) said the foreigners, who were Nigerians, Tanzanians and Thai nationals, aged between 21 and 40.

“Various devices including laptops, mobile phones and ATM cards used by the suspects were also confiscated during the operation. Checks on the devices showed over 1,500 people from China, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, United States and Malaysia who were under the syndicate’s surveillance as potential victims," he said.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that 10 cases involving an overall loss of RM500,000 were linked to this syndicate reported nationwide,” he added.
Ahmad Noordin said modus operandi employed by the syndicate involve posing as middle-aged man who was looking for a life partner.
He would then befriend victims through Facebook and gain their trust.

“After gaining the victim’s trust, the syndicate would inform the former that it would send a parcel containing cash and jewellery as a symbol of their relationship. The victims would then receive a phone call for an individual saying that the parcel was detained by the authorities and that they would need to pay a certain amount to recover it.

“The suspect would also use a third party banking facilities by asking the victim to surrender their ATM cards through postal service,” he said.
Ahmad Noordin said the suspects were being remanded to facilitate investigation under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating and Section 6 (1) of the Immigration Act 1959/1963.

“The public are advised to be apply extra cautious when using social media and not to fall prey to people they befriend through the application. Also, don’t ever give access of your bank accounts to criminals as this could land account holders into trouble and could be investigated under Section 424 of the Penal Code,” he said.

A married man was mercilessly flogged for raping a 9-year-old daughter of his customer in Opolo, Bayelsa state.

The suspect said to be plumber was caught red-handed by vigilantes in the state. He was severely beaten before handed over to the police.

The paedophile confessed to have committed the crime in the guest toilet of the victim’s home, adding that he deceived the child, who was home alone at the time, that he was sent to fix a faulty pipe.

Some suspected ritualists have been nabbed after they were found out to have slaughtered a young girl for money.

ASP David Misal, the Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, on Tuesday paraded three suspects for the murder of a six-year-old girl for money rituals in Sabongida Takai village, Gassol local government area of the eastern middle belt state.

Misal, who identified the culprits as Adamu Muhammad, Umaimatu Tanimu and Abdullahi Abubarka, said that the Mrs Umaimatu Tanimu lured the six-year-old girl to a bush at the outskirts of the town, where she and Adamu Muhammad slaughtered and disemboweled her, removing her kidney and other organs for the rituals.

He disclosed that the duo later took the body parts to the third culprit Abdullahi Abubarka as part of requirements for the rituals.

Misal further disclosed that the suspects, knowing that their secret deal was blown, escaped from the village but were later tracked down by a team of detectives. They have since confessed to the crime.


The police spokesman urged people to shun the desperate crave for wealth and to work hard to earn a honest living, warning that the Command would make life unbearable for criminal elements in the state.

A lecherous A&E doctor 'obsessed' with a nurse's bottom repeatedly groped her, asked her for hugs and offered to buy her underwear, a tribunal has heard.

Udodiri Okpara, 48, left the woman 'shocked and violated' after a series of unwanted encounters over two years at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The married doctor is accused of putting his hands down the nurses trousers, making sexually suggestive comments and leering at her from behind.

She initially did not report her senior colleague but after confiding in colleagues filed a complaint to the General Medical Council.
The alleged incidents occurred between May 2014 and August 2016 whilst Okpara, of Thamesmead, south London, was working as a locum in the A&E department.

During one incident the nurse was bent over taking blood from an elderly patient when Okpara drew a curtain around the cubicle and stood directly behind her so his groin touched her backside, it was said.
In another, when the woman was disposing of dirty laundry in a sluice room, Okparia allegedly came up behind her, put one hand down her trousers and placed his other hand on her waist whilst commenting her underwear and smelling her hair.

As the unnamed nurse, known as Miss A, tried to fight off Okpara, he was said to have made 'groaning noises' and added: 'Please just a little longer - it's ok - you just have this effect on me.'
Miss A told the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester: 'He started touching my bottom - if we were stood around a place where I could not move, he would sometimes rest his hand there for around 30 seconds to a minute.'
'He was a colleague but he made me feel very uncomfortable - I would either just look at him or move my legs but he would move his legs again.


'If I was bent over he would be looking at me, if I was turned around with a patient when I turned back he would be looking at my bottom.'
Explaining why she did not react in the moment, she said: 'I just tried to remain professional as I did not want to burden anyone or ruffle any feathers.
'I thought it was a situation where it was a guy fancying me, just being flirty and it was no reciprocating and thought it would just go.'
She added: 'Dr Okpara gave me his phone number on occasions but I put it straight in the bin.


Dr Okpara flew to Chicago in 2015 and did not work at the hospital for several months but the tribunal heard when he returned he resumed his behaviour.
She said: 'He started making comments about buying gifts. We were in "resus" and he wanted to buy me underwear.


'In the sluice room I was carrying bed sheets when Dr Okpara came in and got me from behind. He started to smell my neck and put his right hand down my trousers and his left hand was still holding me.
'He touched my bum and I was wearing a thong at the time. This lasted for about 5 seconds, it was long enough that it was like a proper grope. I just froze.'

Adding: 'I quickly left. I considered reporting it but at the time I felt so violated, embarrassed and ashamed that I did not.
'It was not easy to tell my colleagues about what Dr Okpara had done, when I did I felt embarrassed, ashamed and uncomfortable.'
The nurse told a colleague and made a statement to the GMC. She did not report the matter to police as she did not want to be a complainant in a criminal case.


In a charge sheet the GMC allege Okpara would tell the nurse he 'liked her bottom' and was 'obsessed with her bottom.'
While in a relatives' room at the hospital, it is said Okpara shut and blocked the door, asked for a hug and then ignored her pleas to stop saying: 'If you give me a hug, I'll let you out.'
Counsel for the GMC Miss Laura Barber said: 'Dr Okpara persisted a course of sexually-motivated misconduct which began with facial expression and gesture, but developed much further.
'She says it was an escalating pattern of behaviour in which he would make inappropriate comments about her bottom and he would then find ways to make inappropriate physical contact with her.


'Dr Okpara does accept that he sent a private message to Miss A stating 'thanks gorgeous' at 2:37am but this was not the only message he sent Miss A.
'Dr Okpara did approach and asked to talk. Miss A agreed but stood close to the door of a room where they were.


'He asked her to accept an apology from him and to shake hands. He said that they both had 'too much to lose'.
Okpara denies sexually motivated misconduct. The hearing continues.

A 34-year old man, Mr Abayomi Adebayo, has been sentenced to four years imprisonment without an option of fine after he blinded his neighbour, one Mr. Emeka Mbanugo, in Lagos by using bottle to pluck his eye.

According to reports, the victim may go blind completely as one of the eyes was damaged irreparably while the remaining eye was also affected in the attack.

The incident happened at 23 Global Street in Isolo, Lagos, where Adebayo broke a bottle and used part of it to damage the eye.

The convict, Adebayo was said to have returned, went in front of the house where the victim was staying and urinated in front of him. The victim, Mr. Mbanugo challenged him and he became angry. In the process, he took a bottle, broke it and used it to stab Mr. Mbanugo on the eye.

His eye fell off and he was rushed to the Isolo General Hospital where doctors confirmed that the eye had been damaged permanently which even affected the second one.

Adebayo was then arrested and charged before the Isolo Magistrates court where he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Oje Uagbale, informed the court that one of the eyes was badly damaged as such the victim will not see with the eye any longer. Ugbale urged the court that since the defendant pleaded not guilty, the court should give a date for trial.

However, after the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Teluwo, granted him bail he was remanded in prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition and the matter was slated for trial.

During the subsequent trial, Adebayo changed his plea from not being guilty to being guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Uagbale, presented the facts and asked the court to sentence him accordingly to serve as deterrent to others who might try such in future.
The court found him guilty on the two count charge and sentenced him accordingly.


It was gathered that Adebayo expressed satisfaction having spent some months before he changed his plea.

The victim will remain partially blind for the rest of his life after the conclusion of the trial and judgment.

The remains of Kofi Annan , the former Secretary-General of the United Nations who passed in August, will arrive Ghana on Monday.
The country has organized a three-day state funeral for Annan, with the final burial slated for Thursday.

Annan’s remains is expected to arrived alongside his widow Nane Maria Annan , his children, and some UN officials.
His remains will be received by Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo and the country’s armed forces.
