Politics › Re: Why We Change Our Position On Buhari. Ex-millitant by guiddoti: 7:17pm On Apr 19, 2015 |
sambiyi: The ex-militant leaders in Bayelsa state, weekend gave reasons why they decided to abandon their confrontational posture before the presidential election and resolved to support the incoming administration of the president-elect, Gen. Muhammad Buhari.
According to the ex-militant leaders, though they have discovered that the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan at the poll was a conspiracy of the South-West and the North against the South-South and the South-East, the decision to stand firm and support the incoming administration is based on the premise that the Amnesty Programme, initiated under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan will not be stopped.
The ex-militant leaders, under the aegis of the “Leadership, Peace and Cultural Development Initiative” (LPCDI),led by its National president, Pastor Reuben Wilson, said that the support for the Buhari administration will be based on open policy of peace and on the sustenance of the amnesty programme.
The statement signed by Pastor Wilson, congratulated the president-elect on his victory at the poll, but begged him not to abandon the amnesty programme of the federal government. “We have called on all freedom fighters to support the incoming administration to enable it fulfill its campaign promises to Nigerians,” he said.
Wilson, who described the amnesty programme as the only panacea to peace and security in the Niger Delta region, warned that it should not be toyed with by the incoming government. He warned that there will be no peace in the region if the Presidential Amnesty Programme is neglected or abandoned.

pureguide: Good afternoon all. I have decided, to share with you all the top 5 ways of making money online. That pays a whole lot of money.
We have -I M (internet Marketing) -A M ( Affiliate Marketing) -B G ( Bloging) -B S ( Bulk sms) -W B ( Web Designin
These are the top five means of earning cash online today online. Will simply break it down for you starting from the first to the fifth.
1- I'm ( Internet Marketing):: when I say internet marketing It simply means selling of your products/brand and rendering ur service to others eiher offline/online. All you need to do is to create a simple website, containing the products and its description and its possitive effects and how 100% trustworthy it is. And also assure them of returning back their money if it didn't work out as prescribed on the simple website you created. U can as well as get an e commerce websites just like www.jumia.com / / www.aliexpress.com etc! You can allow sellers to market/sell their products to buyers using your e commerce platform I.e websites. If a seller sells any product u will get your own percent on every sell made by a seller. Note: its advisable to get one particular website for your product. And each product should have its own website that is sales page.
2- A M ( Affiliate Marketing):: mostly used by blog and website owners. All you need to do is visit all these top sites sign up for their affiliate programs. And start advertising the affiliate/ referral link presented to you either on your website, blog, forum or social networks such as facebook/twitter or whatsapp.even bbm. Depending on how many contacts you get.
3- B G( Blogging):: aha! Blogging is the third one. So many go into blogging for fun but at a time it pays even more than normal business. Ok see the deal here. As u can see Nairaland is selling ads space? U can get yourself a website built by a standard and well skilled acquired website designer like me. Lols. And do all the necessary configurations on it. Inclusive of the traffic. U can sign up for google adsense , adynamo, promo, and a lot of them. U can even add the affiliate marketing banner to ur website. As a website owner you can easily organise seminar with the influence of your website.
4- B S ( Bulk Sms):: another hot strategy for making money. Who hasn't heard of Bulk sms? Well for those who haven't. You can just goto any bulk sms service provider purchase an sms unit. And resell or send bulk sms for clients. Somehow difficult but easy to go with if you are familiar with the system. Advice: don't jump into this on your own meet a prof on the biz or get yourself a mento to guide you. And you also be smilling at your bank acc. Its a cool biz. You can send sms for church, events, companies , organisations etc... Depending on how you advertise yourself. All for these
5- W B( Web Designing):: lols lols lols. This is where I have to introduce myself a little bit. Am not doing this to advertise myself, but if am. I think I deserve the credit for posting this thread. Ok let's roll. Designing of website pays a whole lot more than you even imagine. Am a living testimony. All you need here is just to meet someone who is into the line to teach you how to design a website. The truth you need to know is these. Nowadays every business needs to has a face on the internet. And there is only one way to do that. And that is by designing a website for it. Jumia/konga are business organisations that has put their platform on the internet. You can design a website without coding anything. Check out the websites on my signature I built it on my own without any coding. After learning it. Get yourself a domain name and web hosting. Create a portfolio for your brand and you will be getting web design proposal every week. If not everyday. And the truth of it they will also be renewing their payments annually. And you know what that stands for.
Thanks! As you read this. Hope you put it in practise. Stop wasting your precious time and mb visiting the web without making any profit or tangible thing out of it. Just act now. I can so put you through if you are interested tho! Am Michael! A K A Mr south! CEO and owner of Nairaguide Web Design Studio

lalasticlala: No fewer than eight persons, including a policeman were killed yesterday before actual voting started at the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections in Rivers State.
The policeman was killed early on Saturday morning at the Rex-Lawson area of the old Port Harcourt Township even before accreditation commenced.
Though the cause of the cop’s death death was not known, but the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ahmad Muhammad who confirmed the killing said there were traces of violence before the policeman died.
Muhammad said, “The policeman killed was one of those deployed to monitor the elections today (Saturday). We see that there was evidence of violence before he was killed. His remains has been moved from to a nearby morgue and we (Police) have commenced investigation into the killing.”
The police image maker however said over 17, 000 policemen were deployed to monitor the poll across the state, with a minimum of two policemen in each polling unit.
It was gathered that one person was beheaded, while two others were shot dead in Asari-Toru local government area of the state, even as hoodlums stormed office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and reportedly threw substances suspected to by dynamite into INEC office, destroying election materials and vehicles.
Though, cause of the killings was not immediately ascertained, but it may not be unconnected with power tussle between the two main political parties in the state.
Also, eyewitnesses said there were heavy shootings on Friday night preceding the election up until about 7.00 am yesterday (Saturday) morning in Buguma, headquarters of Asari-Toru local government area, even as supporters of parties were spotted burning tyres on the main road.
The situation heightened tension in the area, while many residents stayed at home for fear of being hit by stray bullet.
Meanwhile, in Rumuomasi, a reporter with Channels Television, Grace Ekang and his reporter, were attacked and beaten by angry youths, though the details of the attack was not clear.
Also, in Bomu, Gokana local government area, a reporter with Silverbird Rhythm FM, Ofonime Okon was beaten by thugs who asked if he was sent by a particular governorship candidate in the state, even as he scampered for safety, while the vehicle (Toyota) e was travelling in was damaged.
Also, in Okpogo community, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area, a group of youths reportedly snatched ballot boxes, while two unidentified men were shot dead.
In Abua/Odual local government area, there was shooting which resulted in the loss of one live, though the police was yet to confirm, even as policemen and other security personnel were spotted along Omuku town looking for hoodlums who allegedly snatched ballot box.
It was also gathered that the residence of the State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Joyba West was burnt by unknown hoodlums, while she was also attacked.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari confirmed the attack on Mrs. West, saying her colleague was still hiding.
Meanwhile, Governor Chibuike Amaechi and his wife, Judith after being accredited at ward in Ubima, Ikwerre local government area described the election in the state as a charm.
Amaechi while speaking with newsmen said the Governorship and House of Assembly Election was characterized by ballot box snatching, intimidation and harassment.
This is as Amaechi has disown a text messages allegedly traced to him calling on Rivers people not to vote and for the election to be cancelled, even as he said his phone number was cloned.
The governor who spoke through the spokesman of the state government, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari in a statement said her principal had no time called on INEC to cancel the poll.
The statement reads, “The attention of the Rivers State Government has been drawn to SMS message purporting the cancellation of elections in the state by the Independent Electoral Commission.
“The state governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi hereby reaffirms his position that the elections must hold as scheduled and that all eligible voters in the state should go out and exercise their rights to elect the next Governor and members of the State House of Assembly.
“Rivers people are further reassured of the Government commitment to ensuring their safe and security at the elections.”
In Oyigbo local government area, explosion from substances suspected to be dynamite went off near a polling unit, but voters defied the development and later went to be accredited before 1.00 pm.

Politics › Re: Eze Ndi Igbo In Lagos Reacts To Oba Of Lagos Anti-igbo Comment by guiddoti: 9:10pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
franciskaine: As an 100% original igbo boy,I totally disagree with the Oba of Lagos even though he has apologised.I got no respect again for him...bt reason along with me- What is the principal interest of the Igbos in Lagos? What do we seek to achieve in our sojourn here? My take is simple. We seek a prosperous Lagos that is economically viable, peaceful....a mini Nigeria of sorts where all people are able to live and pursue their livelihood without let or hinderance. As a people that thrive on commerce, Igbos want a Lagos where there are government policies that promote the growth of commerce and business. A Lagos where government builds roads, bridges, hospitals and is generally alive to their duties. Education is free in Lagos and our children enjoy this. No Igbo child has been sent away from any public school in Lagos. Lagos state government pays WAEC and NECO fees for all students in Lagos....our children enjoy this too. What do we really want in Lagos? The truth is that we are strangers here. Lagos belongs to some people, just like Onitsha and Aba. Let's not carry on as if this place is a no man's land. It is not. All of a sudden, Jimi Agbaje has become an Igboman....we have adopted him as our son.....the same way we adopted President Jonathan in the last election against our strategic interest as a people...a decision that has left us in serious political confusion and our senators begging to be admitted into the APC. What is the difference between Jimi Agbaje and Akinwumi Ambode? Is any of them Igbo? What is our problem? I believe that we have a fair share here. We live in peace unlike our people in the North. I don't think there are more Igbos in Lagos than there are in Kano, yet we live peacefully here. Yorubas are highly politically sophisticated people and they understand that it us better for them to have a government in Lagos that belongs to the same party as the party at the centre. Igbos cannot love Lagos more than Yorubas. This is their land. If anything happens here now, we will all leave and return home. These people own here...this is their home and we must respect their feelings. Every person living in Lagos wants more federal presence in Lagos. We want a 4th mainland bridge, we want so many other things that the federal government can do. In the years past, Lagos hasn't enjoyed much federal intervention because of political party differences. Now they have that chance and we want to spoil it for them by being more catholic than the pope. Let everybody vote any candidate he wants but I reject any collective Igbo move to vote against the strategic interests of the people who own the land where we live and make our living. Lagos has been good to our people. We have succeeded here in business and the professions. Let's not disrespect the people of Lagos. I will not support any move that will create an impression that Igbos are against the interest of the owners of Lagos. Nobody has murdered our people here like what we see in the north. Lagos remains the only state in this country where Igbos hold top government positions. Even our neighbors and brothers, Rivers State have never given us that privilege despite our huge population and presence there. As for me, I want Lagos to progress and on Saturday, I will proudly vote for Akinwumi Ambode. If you like vote handbody, that is your cup of tea, oba cannot force any igbo to vote his candidate. Simple |

Oba is trying to threatening the igbos to gain vain deceit. The igbos shall vote Agbaje for that ulterances, that in a democratic society, harsh statement will never be tolerated, in respective of your personality. I remember the popular yoruba alaweye obo oba...... but this is no regret that the change will come to lagos state. Some of us supported GMB because we believe in change and that change will blow in lagos state. Come to think of it, oba to be partisan is an odd. oba blesses people, not threatening the people. on this note, I am begging every affected igbos to support AGBAJE. We want to see the worse side of the king. Are we still in the ages ni? na retrogression ni? In a civilised society to see uncivil king na wa oh.
