If I were GEJ, I'd rather ask for the sack of the entire University's administration. GEJ should face the business of resolving issues of the economy rather than concerning himself with every little bits that have responsible persons or else he should be ready to order the sack of the replacement doctors in Lagos. |
gulfer: I can only say a powerful AMEN! babuji: I just heard that Kosi has been found and returned safely to her family.Praise the LORD!! |

hitmanogo: I am appalled by some of the comments I see here,,,,,increasing their salaries and everyone is rejoicing.....what is an average policeman's education to command such an amount. Is a schl cert policemen more of a social capital than the bsc teacher, nurse or chemist.no.a nation's social capital is built on brain not brawn...increase in their salaries is not what they need but a better allowance package and more in depth training in police work as many of them can't express themselves in good English talk less of understanding the laws that guides police work and the rights of citizens they protect..... I want to see a policeman that after his training he can gather some on the job experience that will make him fit to be head of security of a fortune 500 company..... ![]() |

I don't know why you guys rush to praise some of these pronouncements, even if he has the heart and wants to do it; are the people in control ready to budge. A minimum wage of 18000 has continued to be an issue and look at the recent delays in corpers salaries. It is one thing to make pronouncements and it is another thing to get support for your proposals. He was an AIG, what was his contribution? IMO the labor unions will be preparing to reccomend same for entry level workers if this is implemented. |
![]() stagger: Constables have been going home with N100,000 pay (official + egunje). It is in their blood to collect bribe and it will not stop.Yes O! How will they make the balance? Over to you IGP... |
jmaine: Explain further . . .how is this a bad moveI disagree with you totally. If you need to motivate police and improve security by increasing their salaries, then be ready to do same across board is my leaning. I just tried to put a bit of jocularity to it using the amnestied militants and other security apparatus. Have you visited any of the ministries; to see what goes on in terms of absolute corruption, which is my worries. it is not only the policemen but the entire National workforce bar some private/multinational establishments that require motivation. |

What happens to other sector in the security side of things, the Military, Navy, Air-force and even the militants on amnesty. This generation of leaders are sitting on a keg of gunpowder and playing with a nuclear warhead. |
NJN: thanks nnamdi and gulfer...actually the latest thing the mechanic suggested had to do with the nozzle and silencer...just don't want anymore guess work by them.I call your monicker NJN(In Jesus Name), i beg that you scan the vehicle first before you do any work especially as prescribed by guess work artists-mechanic. |
Beaf: Why do you keep going round pretending to be me?
^^ The report says he "he wants some monetary settlement" how daft. Ok, let me go with what you wrote up there, how about digging a hole and burying the said items? Does the STF do the house-to-house search with sniffing dogs? This guy is 39years old so he know the consequence of his stup!d action
Since both you guys share a monicker but are always at a tangent in terms of opinion on issues, i rechristen Beaf! as Anti-Beaf henceforth . |
So LONG-THROAT for a reward and poverty forced this man into the bad limelight..I hope those overzealous policemen have not done irreparable damage to his limbs. Moral of the story is: Only return monetary items to the authority or else if you found a gun, knife, machete; you risk being labelled an armed robber, a militant etc if you attempt to return it. The only time you can risk such is during an amnesty program. BTW, what happened to the other bloke arrested on the same date? |
azpekuliar: This has for long puzzled me. Why do motorists in Lagos drive around with their head lamps on. And I mean regular motorists, not a VIP convoy. I can understand if its done on a hazy day, rainy day but in clear day light and with perfect driving conditionsMost of the vehicles with automatic daytime headlamps are for some areas in the United states and Canada, Its not showoff perse but a modification which most fail to reverse when they ship these cars to Nigeria. |
These prayer warriors mad it happen.

Follow this thread, you may be lucky to have similar issues and not require extensive search after doing the scan.https://www.nairaland.com/937564/help-car-consuming-too-much |
Mitsubishi is a brand and goes beyond cars (auto), what is the Mitsubishi commodity and its model? FYI there is Mitsubishi laptop, fridge etc. |

Temistatics 007: The driver said he was familiar with some v6 engine cars he has driven in which their temp gauge stay in the middle through out a journey(i don't know about that),beside he said the temperature gauge was at the least when the car stopped working meaning, the gauge was deceptive(not in good order),i once blamed the driver before he narrated his side of the story.Good observation, unfortunately Alhaji may have more than the engine to swap out of the vehicle. This calls to question why the road safety / police so not have a database for vehicles to prevent issues like this. There should be a full disclosure clause introduced for all transactions if the csshless policy is to take effect or else, I fear the worst. If you buying a salvage car in the US, the damage is categorised and the buyer can make his choice. |
This is May fool for those taken in by the post. @poster, you are very mischievous. ![]() |
The Americans will say, 'if it ain't broke, don't mend it. Start with the identified especially the vacuum hoses and missing EGR solenoid because those are pointers to where the problems lie. The littlest break/cut on these hoses can make a very big difference in the MPG of your vehicle. |
E dey ping?!!!!!! |

BTW what is the difference between half full and half empty? |
Some people are just stoopid! Does this make any difference to these guys; cosmetic reform- the allowance reduced will end up being called something else and will even be increased. |
Yep! |
We do not know their original allowances and this certainly does not affect their salaries. Who's fooling Whom? ![]() |
jomodupri: Thank you all for the wonderful contributions.Whats the update? |
