I support the 'BOOTING' it has really sanitize Nairaland to a very reasonable degree.
The Bots that have taken away freedom of speech mostly and can't fathom what is right or wrong. Is that how Bots work in other social media spaces.
PoliticsWhile People Are Earning From twitter And Facebook, Seun Is Using Bots To Chase by guobe(op):
People are earning from social media platforms through monetisation and others from Twitter now x and Facebook now meta AI and even Tiktok making some users on those platforms multimillionaires and others too earning from it.
Our own nairaland owned by one of us is using bots to chase everyone away.
No more freedom of speech as any little thing you are banned and what you have written deleted.
I was chatting with a friend of mine in UK who is also on nairaland and he told me he feels Seun now has other means he makes his money and does not really care about nairaland.
I told him I feel it's the blackman mentality of I have arrived.
Nairaland has turned to military zone keep off

Please let's not debate about this. I have over 20 years banking experience in one of Nigeria's first 4.

First it takes an ET 6 months to be confirmed.

Then you MUST be trained in Customer Care for a very long period.

You must be trained in Vault/Cash Management for long too.

The you must be trained in Internal ledgers balancing and reports generation.

And then, you must have worked as a Backup to the OPS head for a long period.

You MUST go through these processes before being considered for the position of operations manager.

Which bank in their right senses gives a 22 years old boy a branch to manage?
Nobody in that bank was as intelligent as him as he was a genius.
The fraud occurred several years ago when the banking sector was bubbling with young graduates from various disciplines.

Oga, no one said fraud is not taking place in banks.

Mention the name of the bank your friend defrauded.

If you cannot, then your story is nothing more than a case of akụkọ mma Ngọzi na ndị yard.

Also, can you explain how your friend became a bank manager at the age of 22?

Thats impossible.

Lastly, the First Bank issue you posted as a gotcha is a peculiar case.
If you don't believe it then it is left to you.
I have given enough hindsight to what happened to my secondary school classmate and won't go past there.

He may have still been dead if he lived otherwise while it is good to live a noble life, Life of crime and criminality is not the reason people die early else Tinubu won't be president today and most of our politicians would have long died!
And that is why it is good to have a clean slate instead of venturing into Fraud.
Which legacy is he leaving behind after his death that he defrauded a bank.
Is he to be praised for defrauding a bank.

This story is likely an urban legend.

How did your friend become a bank manager at the age of 22. It's almost impossible. In fact, it's impossible. Unless you are telling me he graduated from the university at the age of maybe 15.

Also, mention the name of the bank he defrauded. If anything like that happened, it would have been all over the news.

Lastly, in this present age, it is almost impossible for a single individual to pull of such large scale financial heists. Especially in banks where there are dual controls to checkmate stuff like that.

My verdict is that this a typical akuko mma Ngozi na ndi yard
Fraud is still taking place till today in banks and it won't end as long as there are dubious people working there.

Most people don't know the kind of misery and personal sorrows most politicians live with on their home front. The money, power and influence at their disposal deceptively paint a beautiful picture of their private lives, which in fact are full of anguish and pains.
Plain truth, I have worked with so many of them and their life is not something to be proud about.

Some couple of months ago, I raised a post on how the most intelligent boy in my secondary school days defrauded a bank of multimillion naira and ran away without a trace.
A class mate of ours then just told me that he was told by another of our classmate that he is dead and that he died 2 months ago in South Africa where he ran to and hid .
Fraud does not pay as there are curses and repercussions that comes with it.
Adueu.

Bijust:
As a sickle cell patient, life hasn't been easy. Being born in Nigeria already feels like starting at a disadvantage, a score of 1-0 against you. Being born into poverty adds another goal, making it 2-0. And then, to be born with a disease like sickle cell… it's a constant battle against pain, a daily prayer for life itself. I'm already 33.

I've managed to get through school, thanks to my mother's unwavering support. I studied engineering. However, I've faced constant rejection from organizations due to my health. I was forced to work in private security for four years, concealing my condition. I left this year after the operations manager, to whom I'd confided about my health, revealed it during a training session, likely to make a point. It felt like they just wanted me gone.

Since leaving, I've been struggling to make ends meet. The biggest challenge is the inability to pursue my dreams with the same drive and determination as others. I remember a final interview at GTB. The interviewer looked me in the eye and asked why my eyes were yellowish. I was honest with him, and he abruptly ended the interview, promising to get back to me. I knew then I had lost the opportunity, and I cried on my way home.

I've endured so much to get to where I am. I pray that God grants me at least something to smile about before my time is up.
So sorry about your situation. Quite pathetic. I am broken by this
