I was robbed in the hostel and every time I look back, I always appreciate God. The first time, I was naked under my cover cloth when they forcefully opened my door, when they entered they collected my phones, went to other rooms and I quickly used that period to dress up before they came back to my room. They brought the other rooms' occupants to my room to lock us up but before they left that day, they asked me to come out and I did not answer, they came back and asked me to come out and I responded that I was praying and that was why I didn't come out initially and the thief said I shouldn't bother again. They locked us up and left. I would have been graped if I followed them out of my room.

The second robbery happened at another hostel I moved to and that one God saved me again b'cos they didn't see me where I squatted under an open wall hanger. I saw them and they didn't see me and the wall hanger was open. God is great. Two ladies who were with their boyfriends were graped during this one and an attempt was also made on my friend but they didn't grape her.

It is crazy that things have not changed and security is still an issue. I wish our security has been strengthened and forensic capabilities developed.

Quite sad and it is an African thing due to obsolete security gadgets.

They rob students for phones, laptops and they don't mind to also collect the token pocket money too. I was robbed twice as a student during my undergraduate days and it was God that saved me.

It is still happening in most campuses till now
Students really have to thread carefully especially at night.

Ever since the filtering process of ensuring legitimate age in the junior football grade Nigeria has been finding it so hard to break even.

My sisters are doing very well though in all the grades. They never disappoint.

It's quite shameful despite the abundance of talents in the country.

Nigerian football is a joke presently, without the foreign based professionals, we are nowhere in football .
Politicians with white Agbada are now in charge of our football and have no single idea of how to run it.No single innovation, just nothing to write home about.
The basics have not been put on ground as all they are interested in is sharing the money that comes among themselves.
Quite sad.

I was staying off campus too and the night they came to our hotel around 2 am everyone was asleep. They broke our room wooden door and was like 2 that entered, they were armed with gun and cutlasses. one was flashing touch light to blind us and the other was collecting phones plucked in the sucket since we had Nepa that night. My roommate who is very stubborn and a hard man was itching to grab the one collecting phones but I held him back because I was lying inside between him and the wall. Luckily I had my phone in between me and the wall and they couldn't see it. The phones they collected was that of my roommate and that of his girlfriend who gave it to him to charge for her, and the robbers thought it was mine since we were two in the room. It was when they left that we found out they came inside the hostel through the window of one of the hostel members who are cultists themselves. How they broke the iron protector is what made us to suspect it might be inside job with collaborators from outside. They tied the aboki security man. Mind you our hostel is a big hostel with up to 40 rooms and they robbed almost all the rooms simultaneously, meaning they were many. When daybreak came, my roommate was insulting and abusing me for being a coward and he told everyone and they were blaming me for stopping him grabbing the one that was picking phones.

You saved his life. God used you to save his life as many people have died dragging with robbers.

Yes but mostly students who are having one or two issues and may be on their way out of the school.

Immediately one put his hand inside through window to cut the protector, I used Cutlass to cut his hand. He shouted and his group ran for their lives.

He was later handed to police where he confessed and the rest were caught.

My own experience is a long story, but I'll make it short. I lived off-campus too and for several months, armed gangs burgled hostels and raped female students in all the neighbouring hostels around us except ours. So, we knows they would visit us someday. If was so bad that they attacked one hostel twice in 3 weeks.

It doesn't make sense to rob students who are just barely surviving. Does not add up

When I was in the University, armed robbers followed me with guns as I was coming home and took me to my room.

I stayed off campus and that is how one of the armed robbers sat on my chair with a gun pointed at me to bring what is in my possession.

As a student,I was only having 500 naira then and I quickly gave the armed robber the 500 naira.
After giving the armed robber the 500 naira,I went into my wardrobe and started scattering it myself searching for money I did not keep there.
I was searching o o o then the armed robber now told me to stop searching 😆.

He told me to come with him to knock the door in the next room close to me.

I went and knocked and after knocking, I quickly went back to my room and layed on the floor with my face down.

No be small thing.

My slate was the biggest back then in my class...And I was the only pupil with a different school uniform in the whole school too........

The unforgettable part was that after closing,there was this particular mistress whom we always queued behind and she would drop each and every pupil at his/her home first before leaving for hers . I saw her last year and she still recognized me after over 28 years

Most teachers didn't teach their students how to make use of comma ,maybe they didn't know it's usage.

The uncle of this particular man died a couple of years ago.
The uncle was a very wealthy man with alot of properties.
When the uncle died,most of his documents were stolen and the family of the uncle had a family meeting to know who took these documents.
No one agreed to have taken these documents, so the family said they will go African traditional and lay a curse on the person that stole these documents.
To cut the long story short, this particular guy just confessed he stole the documents as he has been battling a critical illness for quite sometime now.
This is someone from a well brought up home as his parents are well to do.
If your hands are dirty,don't expect to escape the hammer of the devil.

Back in the days in my secondary school, kids do make use of devil beans to retaliate to people they are angry 😠 at .
