you think lecturing is easy. if it was why dont you become one. The pressure to publish in top tier journal can crumble you. To do research you need a lot of money and resources, how many people are patient enough to wait for results of their experiments when you have other responsibilites coupled with the epileptic conditions of infrastructure in the country. if 5 universities are paying one lecturer full salary that means his particular area of expertise is in high demand and only few people are doing it. Please when we argue lets talk with facts and leave politics.

I have never and will never apply politics in what ever i said, though what u stated is right. But my pain is that am sad due to the atitude of some of this prof and Dr, the ones that call themselves visiting lecturers, sometimes u see them only once in a semaster, what i am saying is that it is killing our education system,Thanks anyway

I hope you are not referring to adjunct lecturers because who ever is giving you the notion that they collect full salaries is those schools is clearly deceiving you. Adjunct lecturers are professor who teaches on a limited-term contract, often for one semester at a time. It is done in any university all over the world. But if the FG feels that there are really ghost workers in the system, there are other ways to handle the situation and find common grounds instead of compelling lecturers to join IPPIS. The main problem ASSU has with IPPIS is that it totally takes away the autonomy of the university. With the implementation of ippis, even appointment of lectures will come from Abuja.

You are right though, but the point i raise is one of the major reason's why they refuse to enroil in the IPPIS, A prof an ASUU member in Benue state university told me this, anyway ur point has been taking, thanks for the insight.

u are the one saying trash here, the only reason they refuse to join is because of their criminal activies, how do u explain this a lecture i mean one single human being lecturing in five different universities, collecting a full salary from five different universities yet people are looking for jobs day in day out. U are in the university and u dont even know the lecturing taking u on a particular course because u have never seen him or her bfor, a week to exam he will bring one useless book even without lecturing for a single day and ask u to buy. Now what IPPIS does is that no lectural will be receiving double salary becuse ur salary is coming from IPPIS and what this means is that every lectural will focuse on their place of primary assignment because they will no double salary for any idiot.

Buhari is the president of nigeria while sanusi is a king, a traditional ruler who most abide by the rules, custom, norms and tradition of the people. Now imagin a son of the soil going to visit the Oba without postrating(bow down) that simple means that he has gone against the culture and tradition of the land. The president can send anybody to represent him because it is back by law, while the emir can send only those that are accepted by the culture and tradition.
