Dumb comparison. One can see clearly that the Lagos bridge damage was as a result of an accident involving most probably a truck. The Anambra bridge is an obvious structural error. The giant metal 'callipers' and the suspension ropes are pulling the bridge apart. I guess the metal 'callipers' were a second thought after Obingo saw Admiralty bridge in Ikoyi. Besides, it's funny that bricklayers were hired to plaster the crack. I hope this time-bomb won't explode when there is traffic on and around the bridge |
![]() Always posting the same multi-lane federal road that runs from bridge head. Don't you have pictures of other internal roads in Onitsha? |
Fake News from Upper Iweka Press House |
Only if you read well. The Nigerian Army initially procured 3 of these vehicles and later 70 and they subjected them to battle-situation tests in the North-East. The vehicles performed well and now they are back for a proper arrangement on supply and services. It's all in the post if you read well Jamorezzi: |
I beg to differ Sir. This gesture by the military is enough to convince anyone who would venture into defence R& and production that there would be patronage. PROFORCE in Ogun State has continued to thrive because of such patronage and have now started to move into bigger armoured vehicles. The Federal Government recently got an approval of 1 billion dollars to equip the army. Any serious person who wants to get a good chucnk of that money for military equipment will approach the army now and not wait for the army to come meet you.Besides, the army need not set up or move to any place because there are 'experts' in defence armaments there. Those guys you mentioned should formed a cluster and become a defence 'silicon valley'. The army won't have a choice but patronize them. Good examples are Lockheed Martin, Russian Helicopters, Sukhoi etc amadifire: |
Senseless rant from a disillusioned governor. Why not tell us what you have done with the highest allocation and 13% derivation all these years? |
I'm not sure you have been to the ports before or have been involved in the clearing of goods. There is no shipping or excise document that cannot be forged in Nnewi Building Apapa. maestroferddi: |
Animals!!! They haven't protested against the ills in the North caused by Boko Haram; discrimination of the girl-child who is not educated and sent into early marriages, building of more mosques and less of schools for proper education... They should first of all protest for the rights of the Woman in Mecca and Saudi Arabia who are in bondage, who only got the right to drive recently and are still prohibited from walking on the streets alone amidst countless of other inhuman restrictions (which their own women enjoy here in Nigeria). If they can protest to Saudi Arabia, their Headquarters to allow their women basic human rights and get good results, then their fight for other muslim women elsewhere is justified |
Chai. Village people at work! See as a car dealer's December became a nightmare |
Hope this will increase national power supply considerably |
Employing anyone below 18 years old especially a child is an abuse and can be tagged as slavery. This is quite prevalent among your people who go to the village to bring small children to come and slave away for you while your own children have all the freedom and. Opportunities of growing and developing properly. I'm almost certain that you are currently engaged in such, little wonder you are trying hard to justify this evil act! KemjikaEme: |

Bloody Feminist writeup. #spitonit |
Where do cockheads like you come from sef? In stating that a state or region is better, all you do is post pictures of bridges and building! Is that a valid index for comparison? Without good human capacity development, all the bridges and big houses built making you roar like a gorilla (chest-beating) is as good as the ruins of Chernobyl. With all the bridges and houses, the citizens of the state you claim is greater than some others are still trooping to those states. Doesn't that beggar the common sense of your submission? |
But you haven't subtracted all the thousands of hectares devoted to Ogwugwu and Alusi as evil forest and then the areas eaten up by gully erosion? ![]() freedomforall30: |
Senseless Chest Beating. Igbos didn't develop Lagos. It is the other way round. Lagos as a large commercial city (since time immemorial) gave your people a great opportunity to become better and develop themselves. Your tax (which most of Igbo-owned business evade actually) are just a token of what Lagos has helped you to achieve. Lagos earns most of it's revenue from PAYE which doesn't include most of the informal businesses of your brothers. Most of your so-called billionaires-on-paper's taxes should be visible in Anambra's states IGR for example. Pack your load and go to the South East now and we will watch how your achievements will dwindle without all advantages Lagos gives you. Your rants and false chants always leave out other tribes. The way you lay claim to different fancy figures makes the Hausas, Ijaw, Benin, Calabar, Tiv, Idoma etc look so irrelevant in their contribution to Lagos Economy. We are not bothered because this attitude has kept you where you are today where with all your claims of relevance, you always seem to be the ones to be counted as expendables when important decisions are to be made. A few favours and your tribesmen's lack of vision and leadership falls to the level of pandering to any government in power. Kwantinuu |
Boss you are very correct. I feel ashamed for them most of the time. Their Director's assessment that 90% of their women are prostitutes holds true for a lot of their single women and a good number of their married women. At least 85% of the prostitutes in brothels across Nigeria today are their girls. femolii: |
Don't believe all these fake reports and surveys from groups sponsored by countries and individuals who know how to hide their own shortcomings and emphasise the plight of others. America has two cities Detroit and Chicago where more people are killed in gun fights and gang wars in a month than anywhere else in the world including war torn areas. Add to that the increasing trend of loose lone gunmen and mad drivers shooting and driving into crowds respectively. And some fools sit in their office in New York or London and tell you our nation is the 3rd most terrorised in the world! Bollocks!! |
Am I the only one who thinks this painting is hideous? With an occultism hand symbol and a crystal ball, this picture will definitely hold more meaning for secret-member groups than just a fancy representation of Jesus |
Street Lights in Fashola's time were not everywhere but the few major roads that had it were always fully lit. Ikorodu Road was as bright as the day. Agege Motor Road was same too and LSEB was always on hand for maintenance to fix the faulty lights. Ambode has extended street lights to more parts of Lagos but what do you get? They were fully lit for a few weeks after commissioning and now just few poles of light come up each night. What is he doing woth the almost 50 billion Naira IGR every month? |
You only need to go around and see what waste management has become in Lagos. Heaps of pungent trash even in supposedly business districts. He disrupted the already successful PSP arrangement for a shambolic Cleaner Lagos Initiative which seemed to have worsened the situation after the PSP operations were cut back. |
When did you come to Lagos? I'm sure your migration here was recent. If you had been here through Jagaban's 8 years in government and then Fashola's 8 years too, you won't be saying this bullcrap. You want to compare all Fashola did in his first 2 years with Ambode's chain of roundabout statues and a few roads and bridges here and there? FarahAideed: |
I know a lot of people will cut my head for this. Before you throw insults, I want you to care fully survey the Lagos terrain and make the comparisons. Today people still respect Fathshola a lot for all that he did in lagos. From the federal roads he took up and repaired, to the bridges and bypasses he built some of which include Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge, Okota-Ijesha bridge, Isheri oshun-Ijegun bridge, Opebi bridge, etc and several roads across the length and breadth of Lagos. In the education sector, rebuilt and repaired countless schools; rebuilt almost all the General Hospitals, expanded the Ambulance services; consolidated on the BRT system and improved on services to the citizens. His job was made easier because Bola Ahmed Tinubu had laid the foundation for development in most of the areas where he excelled. Today we still appreciate all he did. Since Fashola has done a lot of worl so far, One will expect that Ambode's work should be even better and smoother to be able to concentrate on the outlying parts of Lagos since Fashola had done quite a lot on the Island and Ikeja axis of Lagos. Alas he has chosen specific "cosmetic" projects to cover our faces. Oshodi transport interchange, Abule Egba Bridge, Ajah jubilee bridge and the road works in Epe and some other areas are all we have gotten from Ambode so far. Considering that the state now generate more IGR per month than ever and still increasing, Ambode has not articulately affected the lives of LagosIan with important projects. Areas in the Festac-Ojo-Shibiri axis up to Oko Afon and on to Badagry are in shambles. Little or no amenities to identify the presence of government. Alimosho seem to have been abandoned. I carried out a tour from Igando through Akesan, Egan to Ayobo,Abule Egba and all those areas before Sango Ota, and I only came back angrier at the lack of adequate government presence considering the population and relevance of Alimosho LGA. Also areas behind Agege. There are quite a number of important roads that link these major areas that he should look into to cut traffic along the major roads. ▪ Ago to Jakande Estate ▪ Ije Ododo to Aspamda/ Trade Fair ▪ Ijegun to Lasu-Ibadan Road ▪ Akesan/Igando to Ayobo... etc these are places I know well. I know there are other important areas all over Lagos. Ambode need to go into these areas and begin serious works there before I can accept that he us really ready to work in Lagos State. IgbOs should really address this idea of going to bring minors from their villages to come and work as house helps. It's quite prevalent. And most of these minors are serially abused- made to work like Horses, punished in inhuman ways and sexually abused as the case may be. Most of these he's minors are taken from their parents ostensibly to come and educate or help them to become somebody to bring succour theor family but alas, the opposite is the case most times. |
Hmmmm |
It's not just Yoruba land. Look across the Nation, we see leaders who have either lost their first born child or their wives. It suggests to me that they might belong to some cult that requires sacrifices to confirm their leadership in the group and nation and as a form of loyalty to their secret ideals. E.g. Babangida -wife Obasanjo - wife Akintola- 1st born Awolowo- 1st born Bola Ige- 1st born Tinubu- 1st born ... |
It's the indoctrination from childhood that turns these vehement defenders of obvious idolatry into what they are. Some Catholic kids gather close to my house. They have a booth where they have a figurine of Mary. They light candles and kneel and bow down endlessly praying to it once every other week. My heart bleeds at such indoctrination of naive children. zlantanfan: |
I know it's hard to appeal to your reasoning. This indoctrination has been effectI've (thanks to your Catechists and the Legion of Mary groupies) I only pray for you that God will touch you to go into the bibe and see the truth and light yourself instead of holding on zealously to the teachings men have twisted to suit their own selfish and satanic aims mhizsuzzy: |
Devotees of Mary... They worship the ancient idol, Semiramis and the Sun The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger. (Jeremiah 7:18) |
Your posts always reflect your state of mind - sorrow and seething with hatred that might soon kill you. Don't you wish anyone well? Does everything always come to you in Northerner vs Southerner? The man is deserving of the promotion. Congratulate him please. The Army is not a place for tribal favouritism. Professionalism and reward for merit is still fully practised there Penalty82: |
