Celebrities › Re: Charly Boy Arrested For Harassment And Breach Of Public Peace. by hackney(m): 10:04am On Aug 14, 2010
papa ejima:
The report is desperately one-sided and the writer obviously too personal. I wonder how forumites can be forming opinions on this kind of unprofessional report without hearing from "the other side".

As for Charly Boy, I had never liked him and always thought he doesn't have enough talents for a musician. His popularity has more to do with his surname and his wierdness.
That lastname is the ish, dude.
Travel › Re: Nigeria Installs Full Body Scanners At Airports. by hackney(m): 8:02am On Aug 14, 2010
Naija airports are really going hi-tech.

Infact last xmas in Abuja they had this drugs detection kit to test baggages.
I was like :wow! ! , what if currencies i may have handled had it on them and now it shows on my baggage handle?
Thats a grey area that naija immigration may never consider.
That can lead to people getting into big trouble just like that.
Politics › Re: Ibb: I’d Do Only One Term by hackney(m): 7:52am On Aug 14, 2010
An igbo man as president will sort out the level of unemployment in one fell swoop but then naija is destined
for doom because that may never happen.

Basics:
Get experts to sort out NEPA (or whatever) ,shut the border to yeye chinese goods (fake anyway) imports.
Start making things ourselves and before you know it, thousands of factories and millions of jobs for the youths at least.
(which will stimulate almost every other sector).

Instead people are in Tincan island collecting bribes.
Fashola is building a tax-free haven for foreign goods on the island which means our industies have no chance.

Someone said in another thread that they are better in mainstream business while the igbos are selling spare parts.
Well, when 'Uncle' helps you get a job in Lever brothers, you call yourself a mainstream business man abi?
Keep shuffling papers.

^^^ Also i read comments here with a pinch of salt.
This is because unfortunately, tribalism is genetic as the mess called nigeria has shown.

If he was Yoruba, the 1st post will be how he is a nigerian music icon, blah blah blah.

if you dont like charlie boy, you can f.u.ck off.

If you ask me, childish posts should not be reacted\responded to, otherwise how do you differetiate yourself?

Anyway,  The herbalist said he was born in 1947 , when locusts appeared in the sky.
that was just a locust swarm and not some awesome occurrence.
What a dimwit.
Sports › Re: Siasia Not Competent Enough To Coach Eagles - Amodu by hackney(m): 3:17pm On Aug 11, 2010
I just think that a nigerian should not be assigned that post.
The reason being that nigerians (especially the ones in nigeria) are inherently corrupt.
(No sense of image to preserve or even self respect)

With a nigerian in charge , Yakubu can just give  £20,000 and for the next 3 world cups he will be
the main striker with any of his cousins playing left back all in the koro koro of your before.
(laff no gree me type oooo)
Car Talk › Re: China's Future Bus by hackney(m): 2:56pm On Aug 11, 2010
@Post  : Nice.

If the cars under want to turn left at a junction but the bus wants to turn right, im sure
the bus will have displays or audio indications to have the cars take note and probably give time for the cars to move away.

The bus route will be known anyway so cars can avoid being under it when apropriate , the bus will move at steady known speed, etc.
the possibilities are endless, people.
Kudos to china.

Nigeria : Take heart as He that is down in the dumps need fear no fall.
LMAO .
Politics › Re: Three New Urban Roads Underway In Calabar by hackney(m): 1:51pm On Aug 11, 2010
@Topic : it will be nice to hear that 3 roads have been built   for a change, rather than they
are underway
.

Also from observation of older posts, why is asking  for proof of development status yielding such strong reaction from
the claimant?

People want to pluck figures from their imaginations and it should be accepted without
questions.

The road blocks between Aba and Portharcourt is an EYE SORE. Police block roads to collect money from motorist instead of protecting them from kidnappers. They make you spend more than two hours for a journey of 30minutes. the harassment, abuse etc is just too much. The police force really need purging.
Exactly.
It's a nightmare and thats how it is between any cities in the east.

Even if it is one shameless little step forward, its a step forward.

The alternative as we know is a step backward (all the money stolen and nothing done).
So Kudos to the low-achieving govt.

Food › Re: Should Boys Help Out In Cooking Food? ? by hackney(m): 2:32pm On Aug 10, 2010
I know how to cook some dishes but growing up
i got the impression that men have no place in the kitchen.

That's obviously a lie as the world best cooks are men who must have started cooking as boys.

In general (society), i think men should also know how to cook not so that they will do all the cooking but
so they can help out every now and then

I remember the first time i rode those giant village raleigh bikes.
I was about 13 (i think)

I got on one and my immidiate elder sis got on another.
We got pushed off by 2 cousins and down the road we realised we didnt know how to
negotiate or stop.

i was in front and i heard Whooshhh! !, my sister don enter bush.
I held the brake and just fell sideways.

It was a wonderful feeling ; days after we were riding deep into the village.
