This guy always wanting to take up almost all advertised cars here. I remember putting up two cars in two weeks with different monikers and he called to signify interest only for someone to talk about him in one of my taxify/Uber whatsapp group complaining of same guy and same name of using his new car for only 3weeks and damaging it severely without even remitting weekly allowances. Investors, please shine your eyes oooo. I am not here to demarket anyone but to let us know to shine our eyes very well.

That's exactly what is happening now, they will first try to make use of uber cos they know is cheaper and later opt for taxify if uber driver is not available. That has happened to me several times, I have refunded N300 cancellation fee for a lady on uber before, because I was the same driver that canceled her request on uber before picking her on taxify again and she insisted I refund her N400 but I told her uber has collected their 25% share,,, her trip is a long trip sha and it's towards my destination at night, so it's a win for me. grin

slamstanlee:
They use both apps, but they try uber first cos its cheaper.... i was in GRA last week... request came in, uber. cos i needed cash to fuel up i clicked confirm arrival. Its was card trip. I just cancelled and went offline, so she dont get me again..... 5 mins later request came in, taxify same name, same pick up. I just knew it same rider. I said to to myself : i hope this is not card payment again. It was cash.

This aftertoon, ozumba mbadiwe ave, uber got there and was calling rider she wouldn't pick. I just canceled and chopped my 300. Drove off to position again, I checked her destination, just 3km. I went offline cos of dat. 7 mins later, taxify request came in.... same name, same wing complex.
This time she called with her other number. While i was going i hoped she didn't notice its same driver. Though, my surname displays on uber and first name on taxify.

I already cooked one lie to tell if she finds out.

Again taxify riders and uber riders are mostly the same people

That deal is not that good for you especially for a beginner like you, 35k weekly remmitance is realistic, owner should be the one to responsible for car maintenance or better still you agree to expenses below 5k and owner take care of expenses above 5k, because there are still some expenses you will have to cover like fuel, card for calling and data, eating, tyre gauging, etc and it might be difficult for you at first being the beginner.
Just check the car very well to know if it's in good condition for the business, don't desperately run into agreement or bad car, then try and work hard and smart, you will be fine as times goes on. Goodluck

profjo:
Am going through an agreement form now, and there re two parts there, 1. The owner is responsible for repair below 5k, any repair above 5k would be shared by both driver and owner. 2. Weekly remittance is due every monday(am aware uber pays on tuesday). Pls i need your advise on these two clauses. Thanks

Someone used your account to stat pad trip and do frauds, probably, may be someone you share your email with or someone that help you to open it

Tgiirl:

Abi drivers like me.

I opened uber acc to join, then tried to loggin. Response was email not on their data Base.

I opened another acc. Logged in successful. Thereafter I did 5 trips, then uber blocked me permanently.

Nigeria uber office driver-care's response; we are sorry you can never drive on uber again.

Me: why na
Uber rep: it shows acc conflict
Me: how come
Uber rep: you ve done over 500trips
Me: haba! Na only 5trips ever for uber naw
Uber rep: sorry there's nothing we can do from here.
Me: well, una no sabi your work here. I don't even need una app self ( for my mind: which kind bad luck be this)

So I left the office. Lol. Back to Taxify only

Is this even possible I'm not understanding

styveke:
Watin we go call this one now? angry

Got a request on taxify so I called rider who said he's requesting for a girl. He then sent me the girls number and I called her, she said she's at Ivory health Club in Ikeja, I was on Allen.

I called her again when I got the the pickup location, and she said she's on her way out...I was pressed and I needed to shake hands with the president so I stepped out of the car and crossed the street leaving my fone in the car. About 5mins later, the girl came out and we walked back to the car only to see that the guy has cancelled the trip and I've also missed a request. I wan mad!

Taxify now decided to punish me for rejecting a request on my first day on the job...my third request for the day for that matter...

My activity score dropped from 100% to 64% and my rating dropped from 5.0 to 1.0...and I was unable to go online for some hours.

Last last, nah offline trip me and the babe conclude on...

My village PPL choose the wrong time to treat my fuckup... angry sad

I believe uber is encouraging drivers to be using this lockito of a thing and also getting their 25% share on it, if not, they would have look for a software to counter the app just like taxify, but just because they know their fare rates is too low for drivers, and drivers look out for another means to boast their earnings as a result of that. I believe uber can do better than this.

To start with, how many people were happy with their job in Nigeria apart from politicians and musicians, may be 10%. Most Nigerians are forcing themselves to love their jobs for surviving sake just because of the fear of unkown. There's this traffic officer(woman) at domino's pizza bus-stop at yaba, she does her work passionately and happily control the traffic inside hot sun but the question is

Did she love her job? May be Yes or may be No

Did she do her work wholeheartedly and passionately? The answer is yes.

Many owners are into debt right now just because of the half information they heard about e-hailing business, and many are doing wonderfully well base on information as well.

There is money in e-hailing business, there's no doubt but the full time drivers are the ones with first hand informations, even there are car owners that only drives on weekends which is pick days and they think that is how everyday is but every business has their ups and down.

Let the man that want to resign from his 180k job drive during weekends and may be his leave period so as to have knowledge of what he's going into, by then he will choose the better by himself.

dru23:

The guy said uber job is rubbish now .. Omo you have to take pride in your job.. Even if you don't love it ,do it like u love it ..and if you are not happy with your job ,person should quit ..hahaha whatelse.. Why should your job make you miserable? That's means riders will likely get bad services.. That is my point

I picked a rider and he was explaining to me how he just used his own Honda Crosstour to hit another man's avensis and the chasis of the avensis damaged and the man is demanding for another car coupled with the right off of his crosstour, I told him to call his insurance so as to know what's next, I was so surprised when he said he only has third party insurance.

evilspirit:
On this issue of insurance. I remember a discussion i had with a group of people after that Otedola accident. They concluded insurance was not important. To them the only important thing is life. When there's life there hope you will buy another car.

I didn't bother arguing with them. I just painted a scenario assuming you and I had our cars burnt in that fire. After the fire we were both happy that we came out alive. After a while reality of not having cars will set in. Then suddenly insurance paid me i added some money and i bought another car. The sad reality of not insuring your car will hit you hard.

They all kept quiet.

I know someone with Venza 2013 And another with 2011 Ford explora when I checked online they both had 3rd party insurance.

Haderbayor123:
Taxify app and GPS wahala, I picked a rider from VI-VGC and the traffic was mad, this is what taxify app calculated for me. 91mins spent on a trip and no KM was recorded. Thank God it's a card trip.

Meanwhile, am using Huawei Y7 2018, 8.0 OS, so don't tell me it's from my phone.

You can reduce the weekly delivery to 30k then. There are lots of camry on the platform on 30k.

goldentee:
I am in a similar situation. Let me make a guess as to why drivers are dropping his car. We both bought the wrong tool for the job. That Camry has a 2.4L engine, but drivers prefer and make more profit using a car of 1.8L engine and below. As of the moment, I'm about getting the 4th driver in 6 months. I might as well consider selling the car at the long run.

Have been to been to his workshop and they did full diagnosis for my car for free of charge. I did not even meet him on that day but he instructed his boys and I was emailed my reports the following day. I also know some guys here that he has rendered a free service for. Make your research before judging people.

jpworld:

There is no such thing as freebie from gazuzz, no one ever drove into his workshop and service or repair car for free.

His phone number online is for marketing purpose and sometimes when you post ur number online, you get unwanted calls.

Those that called him for consultation might end up been a customer.

His frustration is simple, 90% of his callers are not turning to real customers.

He should stop his arrogance and humble himself.

Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Haderbayor123: 7:55pm On Jul 01, 2018
Everything you said was spot on and to be very candid, GAZZUZ has been a blessing to some guys(like me despite the fact that have not met him before) on this forum and other threads too, the way he respond to questions has been professional. At times, I do think may be he doesn't need money that's why he's so generous with information. Atimes, we Nigerians need to respect people's privacy and all this sense of entitlement has to stop.

TheCar:

The drama sef don turn into series.

Why they are coming for him is what I want to understand.

They are quick to ask him for (FREE) help and he answer.

He also need to put food on his table so (FREE) service or help doesn't pay the BILLS.

Some visit their mechanic, then come back here to ask him for second opinion, if he answered and they don't like it or if it cost more than what their mechanic prescribed, they come for his head and hand.

Haven't meet him in person before or require his service on anything before but to be honest his opinion, feedback and answers to questions being asked has been quite informative, educative and sometimes entertaining.

Also because I made my phone available on the forum for business purposes doesn't give you the right or authority to call me for anything aside business.

He has legal rights to decline calls because it's property.

If you are calling someone for help (FREE or PAID), please be humble. You need the help that's why you called in the first place and you know he can provide the help that's why you called him instead of any other person. So if he refuse or declined to work on your car, don't come back here to start a negative campaign against him.

Every business person is mindful of their reputation because that's what get you referral and more business. If he declined working in your car, find another expert to do so instead of starting a negative campaign against him.

If you call and he his working on a paid project, do you expect him to leave something that put food on his table to opt for a free service which doesn't put food on his table.

If he reject you, respect his decision. He his human and humans does have limits, so please let us respect his decision and limits.

If you need help, check his profile, drive your car to his workshop, have him work on it and pay for the service. That's a Win-Win strategy. He fix your car, you pay for his service.

Cheers grin

Nigerians and attention seeking sha, why on earth will you post someone contacts and information on social media just because you had an issue while transacting. What happen to the driver privacy? What happen to driver security? I hope some drivers will wise up and sue some attention seeking mofo one day and they will have to pay for defamation.

Like I don't understand, If you ask them why they choose other cars to corrola, they will tell you it attract thieves and vandals. Meanwhile, we all know that the one that has been vandalised in Lagos is not even up to 5% of the corrola. As if buying and driving a car is not a risk on it's own.

Tell me the good reasons and analysis you think other brand of cars are better to corrola for e-hailing business like DRU did by stating some facts on his elantra so that we can all learn from what we don't know. Not all this vandalism yenyenyen
