Gistsnaijamedia:
The naira dipped to N1,600 against the dollar on Thursday as Nigeria’s economy continues to hurt under President Bola Tinubu’s watch.

According to Aboki Forex, the naira plunged to N1,600 to $1 despite efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria to salvage the free fall of the naira.

Though the naira had been on a downward trend against the dollar before Mr Tinubu assumed office last May, the naira’s freefall accelerated following the floating of the currency.

[quote author=Andrenalin post=126646096]Okay after doing PGD then Masters, COREN will still not accept it…. B.Eng is the minimum requirement. These days COREN is working towards harmonizing with international engineering standard such that Engineers in Nigeria can be accepted all over the world without going through the rigor of their certification.

As a result, new policies are being put in place according to requirement of international standards. Engrs minimum requirement is still B.Eng as practiced all over the world.[/quotel]

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Am Sending 10,000 Naira To An Anonymous Nigerian Every Week. by HADI854: 6:41pm On Aug 18, 2023
shine12:
I have created this post to start an initiative of offering assistance to individuals who are unknown to me. Every week, I aim to send 10,000 Naira to a Nigerian stranger(I will pick an account number at random if there is more than one), as I understand the challenging situation in Nigeria. This small gesture is my way of giving back to my country, even though I am currently living abroad. I have the means to consistently afford this amount, even when facing unpaid bills, as it is less than £10.

I hope to extend a helping hand to those in need back home. I find fulfillment in anonymous giving, acts that only God recognizes and rewards.

Through this platform, I wish to continue being a blessing, in my own small way, to any Nigerian in need, regardless of tribe, language, or religion. I am not seeking any personal information from anyone, nor do I want this page to be a platform for scams. Only post an account number or send your account number as a DM. Once you receive the alert, come back here to mention the alert received so I am sure you have the funds.

My desire is to offer genuine help and support to fellow Nigerians, spreading a spirit of compassion and unity. Together, we can make a difference and alleviate the burdens faced by those less fortunate in our beloved country.

Let us come together and embrace the joy of giving without expecting anything in return. May we all find ways, no matter how small, to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

EducationEducation- Direct Entry by HADI854(op): 2:16pm On May 19, 2023
Direct Entry, UTME candidates to sit for same exam henceforth— JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking to gain admission to Nigerian universities will henceforth be required to sit for the UTME along with other candidates.

JAMB said that the new policy was to ensure that the DE candidates justify the possession of their A’level certificates.

This is disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by the board’s Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, at the end of its management committee meeting.

He said the committee meeting was held to appraise the recent crisis witnessed in the conduct of the 2023 DE registration.
Benjamin said the policy change was also to holistically address all loopholes giving rise to abuses in the DE admission processes.

According to him, this policy is to be situated within the ambit of the board’s relentless efforts aimed at enhancing the growth of the nation’s education sector to promote transparency, accountability and good governance.

He said the development underscored the board’s commitment and determination towards changing the negative narrative of A’level admissions into higher institutions in Nigeria.

”The board has expressed its commitment to press ahead with its efforts to reposition the conduct of public examinations in Nigeria.

”The board stated that the seeming crisis was birthed by the implementation of some of its newly-adopted processes aimed at curbing infractions in the admission value chain given our national peculiarities.

”This policy is to be situated within the ambit of the Board’s relentless efforts aimed at enhancing the growth of the nation’s education sector as it would promote transparency, accountability and good governance,” he said.

He added that the board had again remitted N2 billion as its interim surplus for the 2023 operating year, saying more would be remitted as its operations for the years were completed.

He said this was in furtherance of the pledge by the Board Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede-led management, on assumption of duty to leverage on technology and discipline to manage the affairs of the board.

‘”Sinnce assuming office Prof. Oloyede-led management has remitted over N55 billion to the Federal Government coffers.

“This is far above the less than the N60 million remitted by the board in the 38 years of its existence prior to the appointment of Prof. Oloyede.

”On assumption of office of the current registrar, he had come up with a policy which holds that whatever would be done, must be on the table.

”This has changed the narratives such that JAMB now posts humongous returns to the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF).

”These returns were bolstered by the board’s expanded internal capacities for its operations achieved through direct execution of its processes and procedures, which instantly resulted in, for instance, a savings of N1.2 billion being paid annually to a service provider.

” It also reflects a downward review of the N1.2 billion being annually paid to another to about N400 million with the same old service provider. This in addition to the recovery of over N1.2 billion in both cash and estates in choice areas of Abuja in 2016,” he said.

Benjamin added that the steps had ensured that the board, which had remitted cumulatively in its 40 years of existence about N55 million to the national treasury, rendered N7.8 billion in the first year of the assumption of office of Oloyede.

He said it had also contributed over N27 billion directly into the national treasury.

”The remitted amount is without prejudice to the 30 per cent reduction in its application fee (N10.8 billion in four years since the reduction).

”Capital Fund (N11 pbillion including N6 billion, which is yet to be committed), Annual Awards/Grants to tertiary institutions for Capital Projects (N1 billion) and Special Staff Welfare Scheme (N2 billion). This would aggregate the cumulative surplus to about N54 billion over the last six years,” he added.

I'm not very good in biology so I dont think I'll reach that score again
What do I do?

Modified:

My sis got admission in 2014 with Jamb score of 266.
9 years in university and she's out with distinctions in five subjects or courses.
Now she'd be going for housemanship in which she'd be paid and after that Nysc.
She said if she's lucky to work in a hospital run by WHO then she might be going abroad very soon.
She is like my role model. She got the highest jamb score in our house as at then and my parents were praising her.
I decided I was going to pass her score and 8 years later(2022), I got 299 which is 33 points more than hers.
Now she has distinctions, will I also get distinctions if I leave Engineering which is my comfort zone and go for medicine?
Like the pressure is getting too much.

By Peter Okolie

Authorities of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State have initiated moves to unravel the identity of identified graduating female student who boasted on popular social media platform that she graduated with the help of God and use of private organ.

The student, had in the video which was also widely shared on Facebook claimed that her pussy was helpful for successful defence of her final year project and the good grades she got in her examinations at the Polytechnic.

She said she would have been unable to graduate without the use of her private part to sort her grades and project defense, while thanking God for giving her ‘hot pussy, which has helped her go far in academic.

But the management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede did not find the claim funny and has initiated moves to unveil the identity of the students and ascertain her claims.

Eucharia Anuna, the Polytechnic’s Registrar, who said this in a statement added that was blasphemous and antithetical that the student peddled the name of the Almighty in her “deleterious act”.

“Management considers the action of the student as most unacceptable and preposterous.

“The Federal Polytechnic Nekede prides itself as an institution with high academic and moral standards.

“Both staff and students are quite aware of the consequences of any misconduct.

“In an unprecedented move, management through the various disciplinary committees, had released hot lines through which students can report any act of exploitation or corruption,” the registrar said.

Anuna said the committees were diligent in ensuring that any staff or student found culpable was meted with appropriate punishment.

She added that the despicable post of the supposed student does not therefore represent the standard of our institution.

“The rector of the institution, being a clergyman, has been very committed and consistent in instilling discipline in our students through seminars, solemn assemblies, sensitisation outreaches and publications.

“When our investigations are over, we shall make our findings and pronouncements public.

“It is in our purview to ensure that only students found worthy in learning and character are certified.

“This is a commitment to which we shall remain consistently resolute,” the Registrar added.

PoliticsRe: This Picture Explains Why Atiku & PDP Should Get Your Vote This February by HADI854: 10:39am On Jan 04, 2023
ochejoseph:
The last time PDP was in power, (2015) your 200,000 salary could buy you 26 bags of rice, today that same salary can only buy you 3 bags of rice, that is the level of hopelessness and hunger we have found our selves under the APC.

PDP was able to achieve such level of food sufficiency because it is a party that places high premium on the intellectual capacity of those it appoints into offices without recourse to nepotism.
This explains why the last PDP government invited cerebral minds like Akinwumi Adeshina the current President of the African Development Bank to revolutionize our agriculture and lay the foundation for rice revolution which is now being used across Africa.

In Benin Republic, their minister of Agriculture is seen in one of the pictures below shedding tears of joy when their President announced that his hard work has made their country a leading producer of cotton globally.

Unfortunately, under the APC, our own minister of Agriculture is busy myopically defending how he cleared imaginary bushes with 18.6 billion Naira.

Source: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/549196-reps-panel-probes-ministry-of-agriculture-over-n18-6bn-allegedly-spent-on-bush-clearing-land-preparation-others.html

The agricultural situation in Nigeria has gotten so bad that according to the ministry itself, we may start importing Yam from China very soon

Source
https://leadership.ng/nigerians-may-soon-start-importing-yam-from-china-perm-sec-laments/

Everything the APC and its leaders have touched in the last 8 years has ended up in ruins, even the Naira wich has lost almost all its value has been redesigned into a cloth staining paper which loses its colors when it comes in contact with water and any cloth.

Fellow Nigerians, Its time to correct this mistake and return PDP to power by massively voting for H.E Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in order to turn around our agriculture, RESET our country and place her on the path to recovery and greatness.

Together We can get it done!!!!

Happy New Year Nigerians!!!
