The students of an unidentified school in Delta state took to their heels upon sighting the reptile.

A woman who passed away has reportedly come back to life at a mortuary in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo state during anatomy students practical session.

According to an eyewitnesses at the scene, the woman’s body was deposited at the mortuary by her family and after they finalizing documentation, they left.

Anatomy students at the University of Benin were said to have gotten set to use the body for practical when she suddenly woke up and they fled.

But when they gained their composure, they returned to help the woman back on her feet and take her to a waiting car.

The viral video shows students and staff in the mortuary premises expressing shock at the incident as the woman walked out.

A Woman identified as Cordelia Utazi, was allegedly shot and hacked to death by suspected Fulani herdsmen on her farm at Ugwujoro Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Reports.

It was gathered By , that the deceased, popularly known as Oyee Eze, was weeding her farm with her daughter, Onyinye, on Monday, October 18, when the herdsmen attacked them.

A source who was involved in evacuating the corpse to the Faith Foundation Hospital in Nsukka told Vanguard on Thursday, that the deceased's daughter had drawn the attention of her late mother to the presence of the armed herdsmen but sensing they were going to be attacked, the young girl fled and alerted other villagers, Learnt.

"They were weeding in the farm when her daughter looked up and saw herdsmen with their cattle on their farm. The daughter, Onyinye, saw the herdsmen moving very fast towards their direction and took to her heels," the source narrated.

"The mother, Cordelia Utazi, also wanted to run but the herdsmen shot her. When they got to where she was lying helpless, they used cutlass to cut off her hands. They equally used something to smash her skull. It was the daughter who ran to the village to inform others of what had happened to her mother.

"In that state of confusion, the villagers rushed to the scene and discovered the woman in a pool of her blood. Before they could reach there, the herders had disappeared into nearby bushes with their cattle. It was a terrible incident in our community.

Spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident said said police has commenced investigation to fish out the hoodlums who allegedly murdered the farmer.

"Investigation has been launched to fish out the hoodlums, alleged to have murdered a middle-aged woman in Ugwujoro Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani LGA in the afternoon hours of 18/10/2021. Further development will be communicated,” he said.

However, the South East Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, said his members were not responsible for the killing.

“There are no herdsmen at Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State as of today" he said.

While saying that those who carried out the attack are not members of his association, he added that not every herdsman seen in the bush is a member of MACBAN.

Hello nairalanders, Please as I am typing this short piece, am seriously boiling with rage as am unable to sleep. There is a building beside my house where one of the occupants is always putting on his gen at any slightest opportunity of NEPA outage.

The most annoying aspect is that he uses the generator deep into the night and the noise usually affects my sleep. Presently, there is light in the area but I guess they did not recharge their prepaid meter so he switched on his generator since around 7pm and he is yet to switch it off as am typing.

Is a tenant given the right to switch in his gen overnight while denying others the right to good night rest. I am thinking of reporting him to the appropriate Lagos State authority but don't know which one can take it up seriously.

Well, to some people they will believe that it is because you can't afford one that is why you are complaining but iu can try to talk to any elder close by to your house and see if they help you talk to the owner of that generator.

The Police in Adamawa have paraded a fake corps member, Dada Ayomilekan, arrested by operatives attached to the State Intelligence Bureau, Adamawa State Police Command, [url][/url] reports.

A forged HND certificate and fake identification card among other documents were recovered from the fake corps member.

The Police spokesman, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, in a press statement, noted on Tuesday that the fake corps member’s arrest came from intensive surveillance mounted by police operatives targeted at criminals and bad elements.

He said the fake corper was arrested around the premises of the NYSC orientation camp, adding that some documents including a fake NYSC identification card and forged certificate allegedly awarded by Plateau State Polytechnic among others were found on him.

According to the police, the suspect is a resident of Hokolul Street, Oyun tipper garage, Ilorin, Kwara State parading himself as corper member, who claimed to have graduated from Plateau State Polytechnic with a lower credit grade, seeking participation for the mandatory one year NYSC scheme before his arrest on 6th September 2021.

Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Alhaji, vowed to go tough on impostors, and also charged operatives attached to the SIB, CP’s Monitoring unit, Public Complain Bureau (PCB) to go after and fish out persons with questionable identity, to checkmate their criminal activities in and around the NYSC Camp.

He also ordered the prosecution of the suspect after discreet investigations into the case while promising to rid the state of criminals engaged in such crimes.
