u seems to knw Dino well, if I may ask, in which state dd u serve. and that certificate look too neat to be issued 17yr ago. and the call-up number seems incorrect with the 99 up there cuz it ought to carry the year u started service. I already said I dont trust NYSC, they can be compromised.

it's correct.
that's how it should be. NYSC is supposed to last for a year.
NYSC directorate will issue certificate 3weeks before the exact date of completion. That 3weeks is the Terminal leaves and certificate is meant to bear the date that signified that the one year for the service has been exhausted.
it doesn't matter if it's Saturday or Sunday or Friday.

At the Bold portion of your statement, for you to serve in 1999 - 2000, which could then be delayed to commence from July 2000, this would imply that you graduated in 1999! Isn't that correct?

I have and will always encourage people to go to school. Get all their records straight and genuine. But then, it is equally important we all remember that success in life is not all about certificate acquisition, but has more to do with the application of our mentality. Most successful people are not always the most educated or best brains 'academic wise'. Because, the school system will make you to believe that your good grades alone can give you success in the larger society. while in the real sense, revise is the case. But mostly, someone with average performance will strife to push further in life so as to succeed since he/she already knew that relying on the certificate acquired may not necessarily give him/her an edge in life. Hence, there is need to do more. God bless Nairaland, God bless Nigeria.
