Beyonce sits at the 4th spot with $350 million, as her last year’s Lemonade album and the Formation World Tour reportedly grossed a quarter of a billion dollars. Christianity Etc › Re: When Your Faith Is Not Strong Enough! by hahn(m): 10:14am On May 19, 2017 |
Born2Freak: Yesterday, I was in a bus on oshodi express. I was jejely enjoying my bus ride speeding down on the expressway until a guy stood up and started preaching.
One could almost feel the annoyance from everybody as soon as the guy started preaching. The guy was unstoppable and he continued preaching about having faith in the lord or some other nonsense like that.
Then all of a sudden, the bus started making funny noises and the bus began to swerve. Everybody in the bus was scared and we were shouting at the driver to drive well. We almost hit another bus but fortunately we avoided it and stopped on the side of the road.
The foolish bus preacher was no where to be found. The guy had already jumped out of the window as soon as the bus stopped, and in the process of jumping out of the window, he stepped on a woman. This is a guy that was talking about strong faith in the lord- he didnt stop and pray, he ran like a coward. Come and see the abuse that he got from other passengeers.
What even sweetened the whole issue was that he wanted to enter the bus and collect his change. The passengers shouted him down. We all came down and the bus driver drove slowly to a nearby mechanic.
cc hahn, hopefullandlord, felixomor, akintom Just like my aunty that year She is a self acclaimed born again We were in Warri, around okere market, and we were supposed to cross the road. Now, as a Lagos boy used to express ways I crossed asap. It was not even as if there were many cars on the road. My born again aunt on the other hand took longer to cross and she was visibly scared. When she eventually crossed over, I asked her, "why did you seem so scared to cross? Afterall if you die you go straight to heaven" These Christians preach about heaven being so wonderful but do not look like they are ready to visit there themselves One thing I can guarantee is that there are way more Christians taking risks to get to Italy/Europe via the desert than there are those who are trying to get into heaven by any means Is Italy/Europe better than heaven? |

onyenze123: Humanism has no religious bearing. A christian can also be a Humanist. Exactly. Even a muslim or any other theist for that matter I do not believe in any god so I am an atheist. Who cares? I am a humanist too But the problem is many theist do not think it is possible to be humanist and an atheist even though 99% of the perpetrators of the crimes on FP are theists Go figure |

gemale: I wish i was reading from a book. I realized all these after i lost the person closest to me in this world. Nobody say me down and told me all these. The dimensions i wrong was given to me by the people who dug that person's grave. Seeing that person's body lying in the mortuary made me think long & hard. As that moment, i would have given anything if i had it, power, money, even a couple of years from my life; anything to bring that person back to life. Before that time, i hadn't cried in years but that day, my tears flowed without restraint. I realized that this life is ephemeral. Everything i thought mattered before then faded into obscurity and i saw myself as i really was- a soul contained in a temporary bag of bones, flesh & blood. A lot of humans see death as something distant, happening to others but never envisaging that at any moment, it could befall us or ours until it does happen. Others know that death is inevitable but try to make life full of illusions & distractions to make them try to forget that death lies just around the corner. Do you think that if by chance any wealthy/noble/powerful person was assured that all he/she had to do to avoid death was to consort & familiarize with people he viewed as 'inferior/not in his class', do you think that person would still choose not to 'bring himself that low'? Of a truth, death is the leveler of all men. In 1 of the cemeteries i went to check for where to bury this loved one of mine, i read the inscription on one of the headstone there. The person buried there was the daughter of the governor-general of Lagos colony back in the 1890s. Yet, that person was still buried on the same grounds with people she probably wouldn't have cast a second look at in her lifetime. Death knows no creed, race, face, position or station. In the grim reaper's eyes, all men are equal & he swings his scythe at anyone he chooses without regard. Death is natural It has nothing to do with equality. It is like saying because you poop you are equal with Buhari |
