bennyann: Like seriously? You ehn
Your testimony will change to the glory of God. That I'm sure of, no matter how long it takes. Oh crap If you really believe that why don't you say, no children will suffer ever again to the glory of god? Why can't your god heal all the sick people in the world and remove poverty? Instead it is seeking adoration and blind faith I have put your god in it's place a long time ago Here

uzoronwusa: Meaning that what she experienced with God wasn't real? because god is not real My bro her antennae for perceiving God got broken by you. It got broken by rational thinking, empathy and thinking. These concepts are foreign to theists. I understand the signal of God's existence is still broadcasting real time and available to those with faith. With faith. As usual. But never with evidence. God is busy playing hide and seek while millions die every day Just know that since you can apply faith for your god to exist, every other religion can do the same. And I know you believe only your religion is right the fact that God is dead to you doesn't mean that he stops existing. God needs to exist first to be able to die he still lives despite your unbelief. Of course. Many people believe in your god just as other people believe in other gods you must first believe he exists before you can see him.otherwise, its impossible.he lives, that I know. Since I do not need to believe the sun exists, I know, then it is obvious your god is nothing but an idea. One that I see no need for |

Toks2008: So both of you are now raising a GODLESS family...OK. .continue. Yes. And life is great without god Besides, what is the benefit of raising a godfull family when you end up facing the same challenges everyone else faces Do you know how many pastor's sons and daughters I know that are cultists and prostitutes or how many people still die at the hospital despite praying daily for "healing"? In our life, the belief in any god(including yours) is useless and unnecessary. It has no significance and serves no need |

Do you know that word was used for the righteous in the Bible? I never knew it's a word that triggers something in you.
Sorry OK. It's obvious we think differently
God forbid I fall but if I should I will make sure I rise each time by the special grace of God.
Later you will say some group of people are not intelligent Not everyone needs god's grace to "rise" In fact it is because of god many people are down |

I blame Mohammed who made all his followers unruly and bereft of respect (no respect for life, no respect for God)
I also blame the mods on Nairaland who won't let non-muslims into Muslim threads but allow the cursed infidels into ours You mean Mohammed the pedophile? No, I am not here to argue whose imaginary friend is the best |

The Holy Bible says... Do not put the Lord your God to test. In the same buybull, Elijah put Jehovah to the test against Baal's prophets. Why can't it replicate this in real life? |

It's either his jazz failed him
Or
He was mentally unstable.
But one thing is certain; God didn't ask him to do that...
So he was solely on his own. How can you be so sure? Did Jehovah tell you this itself? Don't you know Jehovah's track record of failure and disappointment speaks for itself? |

Teempakguy: I've been sitting here for the past hour, trying to come up with an idea of what to write as a post. And I can't think of anything. No matter how hard I try, I just keep pressing the new topic button and then closing the browser tab.
Meanwhile, I've been churning out songs. I just keep coming up with tunes and lyrics. Even when I DON'T want to.
And it just got me thinking. Where do these things come from? Eureka moments, ideas that come from literally nowhere and just spring up anytime they want?
Why are some people more creative than others? Why is it uneven and unpredictable?
Share your thoughts abeg. Don't be hard on yourself. Since it is easier for you to get tunes and lyrics stick with that or go to sleep and relax your mind Ideas can come from anything. Experiences, failures, problems, challenges etc No one is really more creative than the other. The only thing that differentiates us is the fact that these so called creative people don't give up. They keep trying and thinking. Even geniuses have times when their brain doesn't seem to function but instead of complaining they simply turn off, get a drink, go out or watch a movie. Some times you need a distraction With practice creativity can become predictable. It just takes time |

ManTiger: I get sick whenever I encounter people like you online. Has the absent of the brass head solve African problem? OAU has a very good well managed Museum gallery same as many other institution. Comparing Gunpowder with this piece of artwork is very sad because you just admitted that we were exploited! I doubt if you're a Nigerian cos this BrassHead is peculiar to the heritage of all Nigerian irrespective of tribe. You need to chill Africans sold other Africans as slaves for gunpowder and even mirrors and probably even less back in the days What you call exploitation is what someone else will call a good deal. If Africans can abandon their gods for foreign gods and believe that someone in ancient middle east died for their sins 2000 years ago even though they exist in 2017 then I do not know why it seems far fetched that we would sell our artworks for things of lesser value You are being purely emotional. I am being realistic We do not value human life here. We burn suspected thieves, openly humiliate aged men and women as "witches, abuse children and you really think that we will appreciate brass artwork? |

ManTiger: Yes o.
I think we should bombard twitter and call meaningful big wigs like CNN, BBC into discussion, I doubt if anything has been done in the past to get this retrieved!
We should at least TRY! Will this solve any particular African problem? How are we even so sure that the whites didn't buy it in exchange for gunpowder or something? Besides, the value of that thing will drop exponentially if it is retrieved and in possession in Africa. Africans do not read talk less of appreciate art |
