Nice one |
GodMode:Thank you. I've gotten a lot of sales via facebook and i've recently decided to use paid ads. Really hope it pays off |
GodMode:@bolded, please what's the procedure for purchasing likes on facebook? |
Okwori12:Very simple. If we are friends on fb and a friend of yours likes our page and makes a purchase, all we need to do is check that person's profile for "mutual friends" and your name will pop up. You will be contacted after the person's order has been processed. Eventually, we will integrate the referral program on our website. But this is just a start |
tonywirelex:"People who believe that a goal cannot be achieved should sit back, keep quiet and watch people who are trying to accomplish it" |
tonywirelex:Really? So, other countries that practise this don't know how important it is huh? I believe the only reason you posted this comment is because you belong to the school of thought that believe being a landlord and offereng homes to let is a favour to the tenant. Truth is, its a business and you're offering a service. You probably haven't travelled out to other countries to experience the benefits of monthly rent. Someday you'll travel out and you'll understand that collecting money in bulk here in Nigeria doesn't really have any positive impact on the country and the economy |
Wittylens:Maybe Nigerian developers are half baked. That might be true and is probably 60% of the problem Apparently, you don't live in this country or you'd understand those aren't flimsy excuses but the reality on ground. You should come and live here for a while, not in an hotel, and you might begin to understand. That said, there's no excuse for failure |
I was just thinking. Most countries collect monthly rent and I believe if the same can be implemented by the law in Nigeria, it would great improve our real estate sector in the following ways: 1) The average Nigerian will be able to afford it. Imagine receiving minimum wage of N18,000 and you can pay N2-5k per month for a one room apartment(depending on the area). This will take a lot of people off the street and they'll be less squatters. 2) It will increase the quality of houses built: If everyone can pay for just a month, landlords will have to make better provisions in their houses and give better service because they'll realise that a tenant can decide to leave anytime he wishes and thus will do anything to retain that tenant. 3) Better tenant behaviour: Landlords will have more power to eject any tenant that misbehaves because the demand for houses will sky rocket 4) Better pricing: I believe with increase in demand prices will reduce. However, this rule is not often applicable in Nigeria. Take the current fuel scarcity as an example. The government will have to ensure better rent pricing and enforse it At the moment, this is all I can think of. Any ideas/suggestions/arguments? |
epelumi42:If I don't tell you the truth, who will? Next time just shag the biatch. Poetry is for the "friendzoned" |
Who cares? Dem don share money finish |
epelumi42:Don't blush o. He's only being sarcastic |
We still have a loooooooooooong way to go The smart developers don't have enough electricity to work and develop better apps. The major problem with creativity in Nigeria is we are still struggling to solve irrelevnt issues. Imagine a programmer queueing at a petrol station for 6hours only to come home and there's no power, your network connection is slow etc The foundation of this country really doesn't support creativity. Everyone is looking for quick money thus would rather imitate whatever is making waves at the moment |
Brother, I totally agree with you. I've also pondered over this issue and the truth is the older generation created a very poor foundation for us. Despite all the "gone are the good old days" stories they want to make us believe, the truth is that things are not really different now as from then. Our older generation saw the corruption building in our institutions and never fought against these things when they were at least controlllable. They never took advantage of the low currency exchange rate or the fact that there was fewer population. They invented nothing, fought for nothing and laid nothing down. If you watch Fela's videos, there's a particular track that showed Nigerians about to commit "jungle justice". People say that Fela was a prophet but the truth is he only observed what was going on around him at the time and unfortunately, those things are still happening today |
That's the kind of PHD GEJ holds |

upgrader:Ochman, na you be that? |
This is the kind of ignorance an2select, opeaceo and co like to defend. A simple mind game aimed at extorting and imprisoning the minds of gullible Africans. People that believe in religion and god are the same set of dimwits who believed that adding salt in water and then drinking/bathing with it could cure ebola |
Mogidi:Fixed |
I believe they are referring to the 400,000 barrels of crude oil that goes missing DAILY. Isn't that a MAJOR crime? TheFreeOne: |
HBD Ymodulus. I'm honoured to have learnt so much from you. Your sellessness really had a positive effect on my life. I'm glad you didn't eventually commit suicide last yeat and I hope you never have to go through whatever frustration you were going through last year. This day is a new day and every step you take on after this will be new. Have a blast! |
machinex10:Lol. Nigerian police are soooooo RELIABLE. Why didn't they blow all this grammer while talking to the police. It MIGHT have encouraged them to go after the "suspects" |
ehie:Ex. I'm now squeaky clean ![]() |
