we got the same answer in my first question but we are both wrong because the compounding period is 12*20=240.so my dear you got the formulae right but the solution is wrong.insert240 into where you put 20 and you will get the right answer which is

1,081,860

whichever bro, its still the same line......in accounting. When you are to calculate interest or depreciation of an asset for 20yrs,in some cases u calculate it as 240months

well since the question is silent on compounding. . It is implied that compounding is done annually.. so forget the 240 months ish..

This is not accounting. . This is finance... And even in accounting when calculating depreciation; the useful life is usually in years.. for example straight line method of depreciation; as depreciable assets (PPE) usually last for more than a year

I actually read the question again,and figured out I made a mistake.........he saves 2000 each month which is 24000 per year, 12% of 24000 is 2880.....the problem is people will multiply the 2880x20yrs instead of 240months, the answer is 691200+480,000=1,171,200........wht did u get?

answer is 144105

A future value of annuitu formular will solve this.. Made a mistake using the lump sum formular.

But it is a question whereby we want to know the yield of our investment today in 20 years given a 12% interest rate.. you get this with a simple future value of annuity formula... lol;

its a simple future value question.. No compounding, no annuity

mr man, he's correct, 2000 each month, that is 12*2000=24,000. For 20yrs 24,000x20=480,000, 12percent of 480,000 is 57600, so the total money the person wld receive for saving with the bank is 480,000+57600=537600

Have you been given student ID number? I think you will have to wait for about three weeks after registration. It is the student ID number you will then use to access MY ACCA to make payments for exams as well as exemption

lol.. I have the id number even before I paid for initial reg and exams (I have paid them already).. So I can actually visit MyAcca portal... I just didn't find the due payment for exemptions

And I suggest u should create a thread where u can help in trashing some acca questions. . I see say u are a guru

But you could upload your international passport under the proof of identity, just to serve as an additional means of identification.

I believe you know you will need to present either international passport, National ID card or drivers license before they will admit you into the exam hall.
