Technology MarketMy Circuit Atlantic/shippyme/zaposta Experience by hairyman(op): 7:22am On Nov 10, 2015
I bought and paid for the shipment of some items since June. Its now November and I haven't received them. The US facility was supposedly sealed due to fraudulent activities which begs the questions: why ship or attempt to ship suspicious items? Why were there no proper checks and balances in place to checkmate such an event?
Its quite more annoying also that I receive no updates or progress report about the seized items, nothing at all. As though that's not enough, Shippyme.com has closed down and is now zaposta.com, meaning that those items are now old tale!!!
Folks that's scary when you spent more than a100k in purchase and shipping fees. You don't spend that to become someone's storyline.
So my advice is keep away from anything related to circuit atlantic. Find an establishment that's willing to take some responsibility for their actions cum mistakes. Or even just anyone else. They abound out there.
If you were also affected by the June saga and is interested in pursuing legal options please inbox me or contact me on 07038614025. I am quite interested in pursuing this and a number of people getting together will make it easier.

Christianity EtcRe: 6 Signs That Show A Church Is Becoming Secular. Part 1 by hairyman(m): 4:57pm On Sep 13, 2015
The Bible is as much the word of god as is the Quran and all these other 'holy' books you named. Christians are quick to quote Timothy forgetting that when Timothy wrote his piece there was no Bible. He was talking about his own writing which he believed is the word of god. Is the bible inerrant? It must take a bigot to believe otherwise, why not, if 'common' humans know that slavery which the great word of god sanctioned is abominable and so abolished it.
Religion is diverse. Intact diversity is the beginning and end of religion. People must learn to live and let others live too. Let's Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and the rest practice their religion. The much you laugh at theirs is how much they laugh at yours. Some of the Christian beliefs are outrightly ridiculous to them also. And don't forget their messiahs were already dying for them and being born by virgin mothers before Christianity came about.

Christianity EtcRe: I Dont Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist by hairyman(m): 4:40am On Mar 19, 2015
I must disagree with you op. It requires faith to be a theist but to be an atheist, absolute knowledge is required. One who is an atheist by faith is as good or bad (depending on who is consulted) as a theist.
One must be an atheist because one knows and understands the lack of existence of God.
Any atheist who does not possess such knowledge has no business being an atheist, in reality he will most likely be a person who has no interest in being saddled by the restrictionss bolstered by religion. He is certainly no freethinker, faith does not permit free thought since even when evidence is made available that nullifies the supremacy of the object of Faith, Faith nullifies it.

Give stud 100 shot or premjact if you can find it. Get stud 100 here on http:///stud-100-ejacu lation-delay-spray-1176695

Ejaculation delay spray: they contain lidocaine a mild topical anesthetic. Applied correctly, this reduces the sensitivity of the penis and increases endurance
FamilyRe: Please What Causes Some Men To Stay Too Long During S*ex by hairyman(m): 5:29pm On Oct 14, 2014
Fact is that 30% of men have premature ejaculation. But this is a deceptive number because premature ejaculation is accepted by scientists (who dont have much sex life anyway) as attaining orgasm within two minutes after penetration. But we know that when a man lasts 5 minutes he is not even satisfied and neither is the lady. At ten minutes, things might begin to get interesting but not satisfactory still..
Considering this, more than 70% of men actually have premature ejaculation. How can this be solved then?

Kegel's Exercise; strengthen the pubococcygeal. This achieves three milestones viz: harder erection, longer period of endurance and deeper orgasm. But Kegel's exercise require dedication, complete dedication, for sustainable results. However it works.

Desensitization spray: they come under various brands viz; stud 100 (which I found on Konga.com http:///stud-100-e jaculation-delay-spray-1176695 ), premjact, shibari etc. These contain a mild topical anaesthetic called lidocaine. Used properly, it reduces the sensitivity of the penis and prolongs sex. Users claim that it prolongs sex by more than a factor of two meaning that they last more than twice their usual duration. Its directly relates to how much you use. The more spray used, the longer one lasts.

About what causes diversity of endurance, the factors are numerous ranging from psychological to physical. Some people's first experience with sex was through masturbation which is usually a very quick affair. The subconscious therefore records the notion that sex must be rushed and so ensures premature ejaculation. Several people have joysticks with a large concentration of nerves which increases their sensitivity. Several persons also are embellishing their sexual proclivities, that is they are just not telling you the truth when they say they are studs (they just aren't even close)
HealthRe: Why Not Help The Lazy Man In Bed? by hairyman(m): 5:15pm On Oct 14, 2014
Agreeably, premature ejaculation is extremely embarrassing and is anathema to the progress of most relationships. There are several other ways of approaching a solution also:
Kegel's exercise: these set of exercises target the pubococygeal muscles and strengthen then. Research has shown that strong pubococcygeal muscles reduce premature ejaculation and increase the depth of orgasm

Breathing techniques: controlled breathing is shown to have some connection with better health and reduced anxiety. Anxiety is one of the culprits of premature ejaculation and any means of reducing its effects is indispensable.

Desensitization sprays: these sprays contain lidocaine which is a mild topical analgesic. A few sprays 10 minutes before sex will reduce the sensitivity of the penis and prolong sex by several factors. Users claim to last more than twice their normal duration. Residues which haven't been absorped can't be wiped off before penetration assuming one is not using condom. These include stud 100 (which I found here in Nigeria http:///stud-100-ejaculation-delay-spray-1176695), shibari, premjact and several others

Did this administration just discover thes e 248 containers after almost 8years in office? Or Did this just come to light because the election is close by? I think the answer to the former is no and the latter yes. Don't be decieved, the containers and their content will be lost in the polity in the twinkle of an eye. Its just the way of things in Nigeria and we will do well to stop being gullible to these antics of politicians who think Nigerians are extremely stupid people (unless we are). These containers have been around for 11 years and they always knew that!!!!
HealthRe: Doctors Hit Lagos Streets To Protest Mass Sack (PHOTOS) by hairyman(m): 11:52am On Aug 19, 2014
These are the reasons for the strike. Feel free to judge their merit

1. The post of Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (DCMAC) has been circularised and operational. Rather than abolish it, the NMA hereby demands that four (4) DCMACs for teaching hospitals and three (3) for the Federal Medical Centres be appointed forthwith to assist the CMACs whose statutory responsibilities are too heavy for any single individual to handle. Directors in other government agencies are supported by several Deputy Directors, why not the CMAC who is also a Director? Such a DCMAC must have same qualifications as the CMAC.

2. The NMA is opposed to the appointment of Directors in the Hospitals. This position distorts the chain of command in the hospital, induces anarchy and exposes the patient to conflicting treatment and management directives with attendant negative consequences.

3. The NMA demands that grade level 12 (CONMESS 2) in the health sector MUST be SKIPPED for medical doctors. Consequently no medical/dental practitioners should be on that grade level anymore.

4. The title “CONSULTANT” in a hospital setting describes the relationship between the Specialist Medical Doctor and his patient. It will be a source of confusion if the title is applied to any other health worker who statutorily does not own patient. NMA, therefore, declares with unmitigated emphasis that if “non-doctor consultants” are appointed, it will lead to chaos and anarchy in the health sector. This should not happen.

5. Relativity in health sector is sacrosanct. The NMA hereby demands for immediate implementation of the January 3rd, 2014 circular. The NMA also demands the immediate payment of the arrears of the corrected relativity for 22 years during which her members were short changed.

Much as we are not against salary increase for any category of workers, either in health or elsewhere, the NMA demands for immediate adjustment of the doctors’ salary to maintain the relativity as agreed and documented once CONHESS is adjusted.

6. That Government should expedite the passage of the National Health Bill (NHB), and extend Universal Health Coverage to cover 100% of Nigerians and not 30% as currently prescribed by National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

7. Surgeon General of the Federation MUST be appointed with immediate effect.

8. The entry point of the House Officer should be corrected to CONMESS 1 step 4 as originally contained in MSS/MSSS while the Registrar/Medical Officer is moved to CONMESS 3 step 3.

9. Clinical duty allowance for Honorary Consultants should be increased by 90% of CONMESS

10. Adjust the specialist allowance as contained in the 2009 collective bargaining agreement. Additionally, ALL doctors on CONMESS 3 and above MUST be paid specialist allowance or its equivalent that is not less than 50% higher than what is paid to other health workers.

11. Hazard allowance MUST be at least N100, 000 per month for Medical Doctors.

12. Immediate release of the circular on rural posting, teaching and other allowances which MUST include house officers.

13. Immediate withdrawal of the CBN circular authorizing the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) to approve licenses for the importation of In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVDs).

14. Immediate Release of Circular on retirement age for Medical Doctors as agreed with the Federal Government (FG)

15. The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Health should formalise and implement the report of the interagency committee on residency training as well as release the uniform template on appointment of Resident Doctors in line with earlier agreements. Moreover, a concrete Funding framework for residency training must be established. The Overseas clinical attachment must be fully restored and properly funded in the interest of the nation.

16. That in the interest of harmony in Federal Medical Centre, Owerri the government should pay the salaries of our members in the centre as agreed on 21st October, 2013.

17. Immediate concrete steps must be put in place for the reintegration of our members back into the IPPIS platform.

18. All attempts to coerce house officers not to join NARD must stop.

19. The orchestrated intimidation, harassment and physical assault of our members in departments of Pathology (Laboratory Medicine) by Laboratory Scientists which is being tolerated by the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) must stop.

20. The Endless circle of incomplete salary payment to our members in many hospitals in the name of shortfalls in personnel cost must stop.

21. Universal applicability of all establishment circulars on the remuneration and conditions of service for doctors at all levels of Government must be guaranteed.

22. Government should as a matter of urgency set up a health trust fund that will enhance the upgrading of all hospitals in Nigeria.

23. The position of Chief Medical Director/Medical Director must continue to be occupied by a Medical Doctor as contained in the Act establishing the tertiary Hospitals. This position remains sacrosanct and untouchable.

24. The NMA henceforth shall not accept the continued violation of any of the terms of the 2009 Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is exemplified by the payment of Medical Physicists and Optometrists with OD (who are on CONHESS) call duty allowance using the CONMESS Circular. Similarly, the phrase “Ministries, Departments and Agencies” (MDA) in the said agreement should replace “Federal Ministry of Health and other Federal Health Institutions” as contained in the 2009 CONMESS Circular.

Christianity EtcRe: The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil by hairyman(m): 8:37pm On Nov 03, 2013
I once discussed certain dissertations on the bible I read with a born again lady. She got quite upset when I said for instance that Moses did not write genesis, infact many many dissertations and studies show it was written by at least three people at different times! She was upset because she couldn't understand why I cannot just accept things the way they are rather than trying to find out more (imagine that, upset I was interested in the truth!!!) Well I state very matter of factly once again that Genesis I not a literal account of creation.
Read the bible for heaven's sake, all of it! Don't choose the one that suits you and ignore the rest.
Christianity EtcRe: The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil by hairyman(m): 8:22pm On Nov 03, 2013
In the same genesis which tells of the (parable of) creation of man, it is written that cain went among the moabites to buy a wife. Were the moabites also a work of the devil. Adam is not the first man and the story of adam and eve is so clearly some kind of a parable that I don't understand how you get along with this your verbatim quote and fantastic derivations. (Credit to you, you stumble upon the right theme in your derivations then blunder away again almost immediately)
Christianity EtcRe: The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil by hairyman(m): 8:05pm On Nov 03, 2013
Genesis is the most unliteral book in the bible. It is so unliteral that if you had a church I would advice people never to show up there for quoting this and laying a long line of quite fantastic explanations and connotations. Read the bible with an open mind. You will understand it a whole lot better.
Christianity EtcWho Is Our 'god' by hairyman(op): 11:16pm On Oct 29, 2013
I have studied in recent times, and when my wandering and imaginative mind permitted, sat in some meditation. I have tried to perceive nature as it truly is and to understand the real TRUTH of the MATTER. I have not succedded yet, I am a little closer to it but still quite far from enlightnment.
Let me tell you a bit of it.
Where do we start?. I think dimensions will make good starting point.
Ok, ancient jewish text stated that there are ten sephiroth or dimensions, all exist in real space time. Each is representative of great advancement in spirit and each dimension is quite well populated.
I am certain you disagree with this. That is fine by the way but let's pretend for a second that you are open minded. Let's pretend you have transcended the fantastic limitations of your religious beliefs, then try explaining to yourself why you adjudge humanity to be the only intelligent beings made. Don't quote genesis, any person with an open mind should by now have understood that genesis is far from literal, so far that should a 'man of God?' preach to you from it in literal terms you should be rest assured that his church isn't where you should be.
So because we were made in God's image and likeness right? Well that's quite an explanation considering that none has seen God for 'any one who sees God must surely die'.
So truly there is no basis except that created by the human mind. Good. So we are of the third dimension, a race of humans, weak, savage, unfriendly, avaricious, name any vice, humans possess it in abundance. The very image and likeness of God right?
There are others I percieved, your belief or the lack thereof doesn't change it, there have always been others and there will always be . Even on earth, there have been others. Yes.
Let's get to that before you begin to crank up genesis mode. Archeologist have discovered so much of early man that even a dull minded person should have begun to have a rethink. There have been the homo habilus, carbon dated to some millions of years, there have been the homo erectus, still some million years old. Homo sapiens, adamic man, the present day humans are not more than 100000 years old. Unless you can actually convince yourself that God was involved in some experiment and getting better at it along the way then, well have a rethink.
That's not the end, there was atlantis, a great civilization, beings of which were giants, the 'Sons of God' who walked upon the earth as stated in Genesis and as stated by many an eastern mystic who were permitted to view the akashic record and thus see earth from its beginnings.
And before atlantis there surely were others.
About markings and drawings: have you any idea how many mayan drawings of such have representations of space ships aka unknown flying objects aka UFOs.
Still doubting? Sure. Get everything you can lay your hands on about siberia.
Just in case you have no idea of what am talking about, siberia is quite a large place in Russia. Quite large. And it is practically frozen. When you live in siberia (laws! Why anyone lives there baffles me!) you will have no use for a refrigerator!. In this place many unearthly things have been found (unearthly by our mundane reckoning) things like a couple of constructions; cauldrons actually quite beyond our technology, a giant here and there, giant skulls (this has been found all over the world; they even have red hairs. Beautiful right?), encounters with humanoids (three russian soldiers were killed and four wounded trying to capture 'little men in silver suits' in lake bailkal), confirmed space ship (UFO) sighting.
Well I am not sharing my theories of creation here, you can believe what you will. But if 'king david' for instance had seen a UFO with all its fantastic lighting, so bright you can barely look at it (as reported by people who have sighted it) how will he describe it. Well there will be no word within his ken at that time in history to do proper justice to it, infact he might settle for 'flaming chariots of the Gods'. And if adam had seen, let's assume a lightsaber (you know star wars right?) or even a laser gun. Would he not likely name it flaming swords? He has no other concepts what so ever to do otherwise.
So in other dimensions, there are greater beings, possibly so far greater than us that they appear as god to us and can truly be for they can do so much that will be marvelous in our sight. It is worth a thought that despite such numerous sightings of UFOs mankind has refused to accept that they are not alone 'Because the thought of deep space travel is too fantastic and marvelous. Heavens, we cannot even get a man to mars yet!.
There are others far more advanced than us. One religion, the most peaceful and religious religion I know on the surface of this bloody earth (guess the name of the religon: The Religion!), recognizes these beings as our maker (as in they made us! Cloned us! Whatever), our god (notice the case of the 'g' for actually there is a God). They recognize this as a fact, a truth. Not by faith, but by knowledge for they claim to have viewed all the record of the earth and have seen the beginning of all things. These beings have made succesions of humans and exterminated them when they prove unsatisfactory till at last they made homo sapiens. I don't know about that, I don't disbelieve that at all mind you. It is worthy of note that all humans who have claimed abduction by aliens quite clearly felt that they were treated like experimental animals; as a scientist will treat a mouse!
Let's move on a little to what reaLly interests me which is matters of the spirit. It has been a little baffling to me how God can make man 'in his image and likeness' put a spirit within him and place him upon the earth, this man then lives and dies and his spirit returns to God to be judged and then walked into the splendour of heaven or thrown into the lakes of fire. All by virtue of the actions of the flesh. First of all the spirit of man is so higher than the shell which is flesh that it cannot fully be expressed, thus most of man's actions are barely his spirits'. Let me put it in a different manner, scientists (ofcourse scientists you will believe so hear it) state that man uses only one tenth of his brain. Mystics on the other hand state exactly same but in a different manner : man is one tenth conciousness and nine-tenth subconcious. That is to say the spirit of man is expressed only one tenth and that is its basest vibrations, the only one which the flesh can bear, its higher vibrations Is so beyond us. So much so that when you get say a 1.5 more conciousness, you become a genius, two tenth and you are raving mad.
So this spirit, after inhabiting this fleshy shell, returns to God to be judged by the actions of a flesh so base it cannot even express good willingly (for man's nature is not good but evil). Well that's quite fantastic. And scary too ( the whole essence of quite a lot of religion; to scare you into proper ways of life, sometimes also to give the priests greater power than they should have, if they should have any)
So here we are, you believe one thing and I believe another but we have a common belief which is that there is life after death. You on the other hand believe that you will be judged and landed in heaven or hell, I, well I believe I will be shown my life and made to judge myself then will be given the opportunituies necessary for spiritual evolution. I believe that the greatest law given is " do unto others as you will have others do unto you". I think jesus also said that, but ofcourse that doesn't sound 'Godly' enough, not too scary or intimidating so we have to get into the word factory and manufacture some more intimidating words. Yet should humanity obey that simple law, what a wonderful world it would have been!
So now you know what I believe. Is your mind still open or am I pouring in some corruption.
That's reminds me of a event which took place two weeks ago. These days I work with an NGO in lagos, cerebral palsy center, so this very senior colleague of mine visited. She was my teacher, a dedicated woman, very very dedicated to children with cerebral palsy. So she came and being on her way to UK had to get to the airport. I hitched a ride since I live sort of closeby and my 'mobility' was with those terrible, horribly untruthful people we call mechanics. Along the way one thing led to the other and she asked if I go to church, I said no. She asked why and I gave what obviously was a fantastic reason "christianity as it is preached and practised is something I cannot bear to be part of anymore because I believe it to be quite wrong" She was flabbergasted she asked why I believe so and I said "jesus came and jesus preached but the things he said are quite different from the things we are hearing and doing in churches, infact it is different a whole lot from some of what the apostles were credited with saying. I told her that by my reckoning most of the acts of apostles should be shaved off, the apostles did not write them as has been shown scientifically and if they did, then they barely understood jesus". She was getting quite quite shocked. So she asked if I believed that jesus came and that he died on the cross for us and that only by believing in this can we be saved. I said I have no such belief, I told her that I find it ridiculous that christians believe that they are the only ones entitled to a wonderful life after death because they have walked up to the altar to say "I accept jesus as my personal lord and savior" I find it so ridiculous that christians believe themselves to be so right. I asked her how that can be when the foundation of the church itself, as contained in the bible was so furiously edited by some bishops in council in AD 60 where even some of jesus's preachings were removed, when the church has caused more deaths than any singular war or disease on the surface of the earth. So yes jesus was crucified, yes he was the Son of God or more correctly, the spirit of the Son of God dwelt within him, yes his purpose was to bring light to the world, to teach us the proper way of things by his actions and his life in general, but to declare him as personal lord and savior as prerequisite for a wonderful afterlife was an apostolic invention (if actually the apostles did say that).
She was getting worked up, though quite in a controlled manner (I respected that, it is, among others, a mark of some spiritual advancement). She then asked if I believe the bible to be the word of God. I said no I do not, I believe the bible to be a repository of great truth and wisdom but as for being the word of God it certainly isn't, it is a lot of history and a lot of wisdom too and a lot of truth added to a lot of mistranslation and edition. So she opened up a place within the bible where it was written that all the words within were by God's inspiration. I was going to explain that but she stopped me and told me she was quite serious then and began to preach to me of grace and of the 'savior' jesus and about the blood. I listened, very calmly and attentively. And quite frankly I was marvelled that I once believed all of that. I cannot begin to describe how it sounded to me. So when she was done preaching she asked for my permission to pray and I gave it. In case you are wondering why; prayer when properly done is one of the greatest forces on the surface of the earth and in all the worlds. So she prayed for my 'enlightenment, for my edification on jesus and finally she prayed against the 'corruption' which my words might have caused her.
Anyway let me explain to you what I was going to explain to her: all men are not born equal. That saying is a fallacy. Men are born who are greater than their peers, men are born who are two tenth conscious, who are three tenth conscious, even some come to achieve full consciousness. Such men are great inspiration, because this thing called inspiration doesn't come from anywhere else but you. Sometimes you see a little farther than you usually see, note usually. That is to say it is quite within your capacity to constantly see very far but usually you don't because, to put it bluntly, with respect to where you can be, you are a full blooded slowpoke. So when you transcend the state of full blooded moronic stupor a little and perceive a little of the greater reality, boom, you have gained insight or inspiration. Maybe you were listening to music which has the right harmonics, maybe you are in a very quiet place and unknowingly lapsed into meditation. Or maybe, you are simply one of the greater men born who are constantly peering into the world of light and seeing clearly the things of truth.
I will stop here for now. Another day we can continue this discussion. In the mean time I need to do some chores and in the mean time do drop your comments. Shalom
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Cancelled My Friend's Wedding Because Of Premarital Sex. by hairyman(m): 3:58pm On Sep 19, 2013
There are quite a number of churches there to wed them and registries too (if the man is open minded enough to know that God never demanded for church weddings). You see, the problem our society and religious leaders has is that they are quick to judge and take consequent actions. Who they think they are baffles me quite a lot. Because that right is given to no man living or dead. Ground of principles have no bearing in this matter for the simple reason that the pastor is playing the role of a man of God and so his rules have no consequence, he is for all intents and purposes, a servant, judgement does not lie with him neither is he empowered to do so nor will he ever be. Therefore in that piece of fabrication, if it exists, where wedding in church was mandated, he will wed whomsoever comes unless expressly directed to do otherwise and unless one spouse is deceiving the other in certain matters. Your friend shouldn't be bothered about this insofar as he can find another "man of God"
I wonder how many sins a man commits everyday (as perceived by pastors and their followers), would that God be so quick to lay judgement, we will all be so in Hell. I will commit the sin of premarital sex anyday anytime, for the simple fact that marriage without proper sexual compatibility is bound for failure so should I marry a woman whom may find me unsatisfactory because a wise jewish priest who could marry as many wives as he wished in hid time (he will end up finding the one he is quite compatible with cos he is free to make the mistake severally within his law) understood the harms of sexuality and thus made a law. Surely I will not abide by that rule which is by no means applicable to the present day world.
Let the pastor be and find succour somewhere else

I am certain Nigeria is not in need of this kind of man, nor his cohorts in the banking sector who connived with him and his kind to throw the Nigerian economy into disarray with their loan scams that crashed the stock market.
Tom Newton, the british expat who wrote on his time in Nigeria and his understanding of the dynamics of this nation mentioned in his article that in Nigeria a dishonest man is not shunned, as a matter of fact he gains respect and admiration if the scam he perpetrates is quite imaginative. This supporter of Ifeanyi Ubah couldn't have proven him more right.

The Nigerian politician is also not to be corelated to a thief. He is only a thief, and he may be addressed as such only by his colleagues, if he by error or judgement or otherwise, step on toes. Or if the newspaper columnist remembers on the day of his remembrance that such labels have their purposes and must be hurled at times.
Otherwise the Nigerian looter of commonwealth is a Chieftain, a man of distinctionn, recognized and respected by his people, endowed with traditional titles and offices. This Nigerian is a man to be courted, to be deferred to, to be held in awe.
By what right do you name him Thief (forgive my french) and purport that he can be burnt as a common robber, by a mob.

You maybe correct; in this anger they may yet be united. As I stated, revolution may come of naught but in the end it must be led. And when in time the leading becomes a necessity you will find, even then, that each man will submit only to the will of his kind. These distinctions which I have tried to state will begin to come into play. I didn't write on tribal distinctions as an appendage of triablism but as a statement of my considerations.
And in this matter of revolution, what greater spark can there be that will surpass the great error in judgement president jonathan showed by his january 1st 2012 increase in PMT pump price. If nothing came of that (as nothing did) what more can triGger this great latent anger of the Nigerian masses. In saner climes governments have gone down for less.

Nigeria at this point in time is ripe for a revolution. Never in its convoluted history has all factors imperative in the uprising of the plebians manifested than they have now; poverty is at a demeaning level, there is the utmost level of insecurity, corruption is at an unprecedented height, injustice marks everyday, the men and women at the echelon of government consider nothing without the premises of self interest; greedy beyond measure, no personality of the political class with enough clout to, in his time of ascendency, come to rule, has even an iota of hope to offer...and in time they all get to rule, in a hopeless quest for supremacy of a people over their peers. Our reasoning swim now in the dark waters of mediocrity. Tribal undertones mark all that's is done. in our foolishness, at the very height of it, we have ensconced it, even now, in the core of the nation's sovereignty; the constitution. The government is now a tool of the godfathers constituted by the godfathers for the godfathers(where the president may say to you on national television; I don't give a damn what you think about my lack of declaration of assets), exuding great insensitivity, turning the common man into pawns in their game of thrones
The Nigerian has attained a status to be despised, he is not made welcome in all the corners of the earth, he is disgraced in the airports of the world, he is discriminated against, he is distrusted even by his fellows of the dark skin, in his own space, within his own continent. In the minds of many from many a distant clime, he is first and foremost, a criminal, to be proven otherwise.
So yes, Nigeria is ripe for a revolution.
But A revolution must have a leader, maybe leaders. It may come of naught but may not proceed successfully in such manner, people must, as a matter of necessity, arise to fuel the flames by their convinction and passion. A revolution also demands the greatest sacrifice man may offer under the heavens; his life blood.
Now who will revolt? Who will summon a will to sacrifice?
Looking at the questionable demographics there are three major tribes; igbo, hausa, yoruba.
The igbo man is individualistic, he submits his will to none, he has a great love for his life and even in the midst of great suffering he is ever hoping for a redemption. He will not be led, not to his death, by no means will he permit such. In his characteristic manner he will simply ask 'do you feed my family for me?' By what right therefore do you summon him to your will. It is his belief, a strong unshakable conviction, that against all odds, he will survive...and he yet may.
The Yoruba man on the other hand is a creature of synergy, a communal man. He can be led, he can follow orders. He has a great love for his life, a deep love, yet somehow, in that greatness of depth it is fleeting. He can be made to revolt. But why would he? In Nigeria he is the Man behind the scene, the Hand of god. He posseses great influence and power. He is at the echelon of major government parastatals, all major corporations, private and otherwise. Where they are not the rulers they are the REST.
These men are the leaders of that nation. And in the tradition of RESPECT, they say what their is to be said for their people and they are heard and are not questioned. Under no circumstance will they bite, the men whose words are law will give no such orders and will not be easily compelled to give their support. A change is too unpredictable
The Hausa man is the perfect revolutionary. He will do as his superior commands. He has little regard for life, he will give his blood once compelled, the necessary sacrifice is well within his will. He is mostly uneducated and poor and above all things deeply religious such as provides a fertile ground for manipulations. Should he be told to or made to, he will revolt in a most violent manner.
But will he? He is the ruler. He is the man with the executive power. Headship is his "birthright" even more so in the present way of things. He is at the helm of the governement and of the military. He might be suffering a minor upheaval but he knows that in time he will be settled once again. Things, the way they are, are quite to his liking. It leaves him with so many options to exploit. So he will neither be roused nor rouse his people to a revolution.
And even beyond these known people are many others. But these others are invariably weak. They are so engrossed by the desire to determine themselves; to be recognized as majors, to be given states, to be alotted gubernatorial positions that they abhore synergy. They are not interested in problems perceived by others, they believe they already have enough of theirs.
So which way lies the change we hope for.
Probably we will still 'leave it to God', as we leave all things.
PoliticsIgbos And Servants Of Truth by hairyman(op): 8:59pm On Aug 15, 2013
Lounging yesterday in my office, having finished consulting for an enormously bitter man with parkinsons who has been given several prescriptions for his condition which his UK doctor has thrashed over the phone, I engaged in some cogitation in respect of that experience concerning the truly poor level of expertise in the Nigerian health system. This issue has been, for some time, a source of intense emotional turmoil for me, so it was predictably an exhausting exercise in reasoning as I considered all shades of possible solutions.
In time, I decided to engage in something more palatable and having developed a habit of visiting nairaland for some titbits of mostly entertaining news when am bored, I navigated once more to that familiar terrain.
I perused titles, (one must develop a knack for that on this forum or you may end up reading lots of irrelevant things) and came at long last to one of interest 'Ezekwesilil calls for Fani-kayode's arrest over Hate Speech'.
Nairaland in recent times has metamorphsized into a literary canvas for a quite a number of racial bigots intent on propagating the gospel of triablism and tribal differences so it is my disposition in that space, never to read these rantings. But here were the names of two former ministers, people one might say to be of substance, so I delved in.
Only then did I become aware of an article composed by the illustrious Fani-Kayode titled "Lagos, the Igbos and servants of truth" (sic). But first I read this speech credited to Fani-kayode and to describe it plainly, my heart bled. Consequent upon that emotional state, I went looking for the article, found it and, at last, read it.
My immediate reaction was to seek out this man's facebook page and endeavour, to the best of my abilities, to respond. But I restrained myself for several reasons. One, fani-kayode by his writing depicted a depth of conviction running deeper than words, my words, may affect, he also showed himself to be a man of considerable arrogance; he desribed his article as intellectual and schorlarly and thus stated that only responses worthy of such status would he consider even to attend to. I reasoned that if, by some stroke of misunderstanding of definition or probable ingenuity yet obsfuscating to the plebians, he had described his article to be of intellect and scholarship then my response surely will be a wasted effort. Added to that was the fact that I do not bear a known name.
Secondly, a man, if prudent, must to the best of his ability, establish a store of patience as inexhaustible as his ability portends.
So by virtue of these reasons, I cancelled, before the page was opened, my facebook search for Mr Fani-Kayode.
Then all day I lapsed into thought for I was deeply disturbed. In time, I reasoned that the article would have been worth no manner of proper response had it been written by certain elements of our unique society. But this thing, was done by a man of prominence, a member of a nation with a deeply rooted respect for authority and who Is, by certain measures, an authority, one who may be assumed to be high in certain circles of the hierachy. I reasoned that he has not been openly chastised by his people for his writings (which truly are his own in a democracy), and that he was widely supported in this thing for it is known from the beginning of time that silence is a proof of acceptance.
Therefore, at the end of it all, I knew, as many wiser than I have known before this day came, that this was not a matter for the crossing of literal swords but one demanding action from the people so described.
At the end of it all, after all is said and written, it came right down to the action, the reasoned, properly considered action (not reaction) which the Igbo nation has decided to take.
For this is a matter of tribal concern, for Nigeria as a nation, in this present order of things, is a mirage.
At this realization again, permit to repeat myself, my heart bled. For I know my people, I know my origin.
The Igbo man is enterprising, it is what he is, at the very core of his nature, the source of his power under heavens, yet. I will describe him by an unusual means; there is one Arewa forum, there is one Afenifere, but in the land from which the sun rises on the nation, there are Aka ikenga, Ohaneze ndi Igbo and others in their nascent state.
That article, that despicable thing hinting on the perception of one people by another, required response from a nation. But by whose will, in the light of whose summons.
The Igbo man has no king. He has no leader, no Tinubus, no Babagindas. He does not submit his will to another unless compelled on the pain of death. His thought cannot be influenced by any scholarly writing neither is he overly stirred by passion insofar as it requires sacrifice. He is, by his very nature, individualistic, and even then, to the point where it becomes foolishness.
The sort of paradigm shift which as a matter of necessity, must happen is nearly an exercise in futility for under whose guidance will it come to pass. Is it not enough evidence of that futility that more than twenty candidates are clamoring for the seat of government in Anambra state alone?
So I asked myself; When will this end? When will there be some unity, a uniformity of purpose, a mighty voice that is the voices of millions of igbos made whole? When will we stop marginalizing ourselves for its what we do.
And from the depths of my heart the questions surged to the surface; Under what front shall the battle for a viable port come to bear fruit, the lesser allotment of national positions of authority (such as has become that it is considered a political move of some import to employ a little more Igbos than ones precedecessor and to expect praises and acknowledgement for that despite the inadequacy of such appointments in the scheme of things ) come to an end. When shall we become of one body and mind, and capable therefore, by that singular achievement, of making the hard decision necessary for tackling the origins and the manifestations of these vituperations as posed by the Fani-kayodes of Nigeria. By which means we will take what is our share and bring to an end, this despicable thing. Can Anambra not be a nerve center of diverse commerce with a port in place and an international airport nearby? Rather than the market cities we have!!! Why then, with these things, should I do business in lagos, why would I come here to leave Nigeria, why should my manufacturing firms, or my companies, be situated here, why would I invest heavily in real estate. For business will be drawn to my land, there will in turn be massive development of all necessary kind, there will be jobs! And our governments will demand for special status for they will be sufficient in themselves. Then, for reasons of expansion, should I take some of my business to a place like this i will be welcomed with all warmth, and hatred shall have no reason to come into play

Again I reasoned; These things can be. But will they? Will we facilitate them? Can we let ourselves be led and can these leaders be trusted to speak for the people?
Can we begin to think of true independence (for we are enslaved; what's is our share is kept from us, consequently we are dependent on the favours of others. What more is slavery)
We, for all intents and purposes, are the vanquished.
It was clear then as always that Unity is imperative, that a change of mentality is of the utmost necessity.
Jews are back in isreal now, most of them anyway. No one will persecute them anymore. Can we not be back home? Surely we can. We simply have refused to do what must be done.
These things however, we must do should we desire an ending to that we pass through.
And these men who claim to be our leaders, these greedy, conniving syncophants, these myopic non entities, these disgusting men and women of terrible dispositions, devoid of any initiative and dignity, these short sellers. These men and women who has made us pawns in their games and play these games at the price of our future and the future of our children, Heed!, change may yet come!
