Loyola Jesuit College is a private, co-educational, boarding, secondary school in Abuja,[1] operated by the Society of Jesus of the Roman Catholic church. The school was opened on October 2, 1996, and is named after the Society's founder, St. Ignatius of Loyola. The highly selective, six-year school has claimed the best results on the West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations for the past seven years, as well as the best JAMB results for several of those years, and is thus regarded as one of the best secondary schools in West Africa

Loyola Jesuit College is one of the most academically selective secondary schools in Nigeria, but welcomes boys and girls of all faiths. In the year 2010, 5000 wrote the school entrance exam and LJC accepted 100, or 2% of its applicants. It is one of the first schools in Nigeria to implement a strictly online application policy. Prospective students both apply online and receive their results online.[6] LJC does not accept transfers: students must enter the school into First Year.

A 36 year old Nigerian man has been arrested for sexually violating young girls by enticing them with N500 to play with his penis.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) said the man was arrested on Friday after he was nabbed by some residents of Silver Crescent Estate, Oke-Afa in Isolo area of Lagos.

Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, Coordinator of the DSVRT, told NAN residents had reported the man hence the team’s follow up on the case.

She said: “The man was nabbed on July 27 at 8.00 a.m. in the community; some young girls in the area said they once reported the case to a woman in the neighbourhood, who alerted other residents to watch out for such acts and strange faces in the area.

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Monday stated that Nigerians should have understood the way Buhari “prefers to do things” having spent two years in office.

Adesina, who spoke when he featured on a Channels Television programme, Sunrise Daily, categorically called on Nigerians to take his principal the way he is.

His words, “The style of our president is what you have seen on display. By now, two years after he came into office, I’m sure that we should understand him.

“We should know the kind of person he is, we should know how he prefers to do things. So, that is the way the president is. We elected him willingly and we have seen that this is the way he is, so let’s take him the way he is.”
