Truth is businesses and business leaders are in businesses to make profits first. Even the safety consultants have profits as top priority.

So, it’s important that safety professionals upgrade themselves to safety business partners. They need to understand the business needs and proffer safety solutions tailored to help businesses achieve their goals and objectives while standing on the safety shoulders.

As safety professionals, business leaders and our colleagues should see us as business partners and not as cost centres, inspectors or show stoppers.

While the slogan carries good intentions, it’s essential to move beyond mere words and actively implement measures that integrates safety into every aspect of business thoughts and processes.

The doctors could not have attempted to travel unless there was an arrangement with UKVI. They are intellectuals. UKVI granted them visa waiver.

During this COVID period, if you are a doctor from anywhere in the world and you have a job offer in the UK. You can travel to the UK without visa. Your employer will apply for visa waiver on your behalf and UKVI will issue you a visa waiver letter which will allow you entry into the UK.
They started it during this COVID period because UK visa office in Nigeria and many other places are closed because of the pandemic. That's why they put that in place so that doctors who want to travel to UK to resume job can do that.

I guess the problem was that their employer did not carry the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) along.
UK visa office in Nigeria will soon reopen, so they will leave soonest

Where is the waiver letter from UKVI? At least there should be an official letter from the UK Government to be presented as a travel document.

The Doctors didn't display intelligence. I agree that it's tough to live in Nigeria but you can immigrate legally following right procedures.

Thanks for the great job you are doing.

A family member applied for a US B1/B2 Visa via Drop Box at the Abuja Consulate via DHL on 23rd July 2018. The person has a good travel history to the US and other European Countries.

Currently the application status has been changed to "Administrative Processing".

Also the Abuja Consulate has now been closed temporarily till further notice, could that be the reason for the visa application status?

The person now needs the passport for other travel purposes and doesn't have an idea of what to do and who to contact for help.

Kindly advice.

Don't know why you all are busy ranting about my comment. For the record,I am not a killer neither do I pray for someone to kill me either. Since the said brother decided to tell us what really transpired between the two lover birds he should at least tell us exactly what happened without omitting any salient point.

I actually called CIC and an agent responded saying the case is settled and decision has been made. Hence nothing can be done. She advised that I open a new profile if I want to apply again.

Application Cancelled- July 28th 2017 (Reason UK PCC wasn't uploaded, although I applied for a UK PCC as I did a Masters in UK but PCC arrived a week after AOR, so I raised a CSE to upload the PCC, I also sent an email to support this.) Nevertheless application was cancelled as incomplete.
All application fees refunded after 3 weeks.
Fast forward - March 3rd 2018- Mail arrived there was an update on profile. Checked and I read my profile has been re-opened. There was a review of my profile and it was determined that I submitted a complete application, hence I was asked to pay new processing fees to continue my application.

New Medicals required- April 2nd 2018
Medicals passed -April 16th 2018.
Profile status changed to submitted April 19th 2018
PPR April 21st 2018.
Reason I'm sharing this timeline and events is to encourage anyone that is going through a similar situation...there is HOPE!
