Politics / Re: Jude Idimogu: It's Too Late For Igbo To Pull Out Of Nigeria by halfcurrent(m): 12:56pm On Sep 24, 2017
naijastoryz:
It’s too late for Igbo to pull out of Nigeria – Igbo lawmaker

A Lagos lawmaker, Mr Jude Idimogu, on Saturday, said it was too late for the Igbo nation to pull out of Nigeria. Idimogu, representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, told newsmen in Lagos that secession would be injurious to the Igbos.

He said: “As a full blooded Igbo man and a Nigerian, I believe, Igbo staying in Nigeria as an entity will prosper the Igbo nation better than pulling out.

“After the 1967 Civil war, the Igbo man started all over again to build up; now Igbo nation has made progress in terms of economy and politics.

“Though the Igbo nation has not reached where it is expected to be politically, we should dialogue rather than be creating war scenarios. ‘

’It is too late to pull out (of Nigeria), Igbo nation has united Nigeria because they have businesses everywhere in this country,” the lawmaker said.

The lawmaker urged Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to rescind from any action that could create enmity against Igbos around the country. He urged the Igbo nation to unite with other ethnic groups in the country to articulate their grievances and actualised their dreams.

“My children were born in Lagos and some of them don’t even know their state of origin, they speak Yoruba and so many Igbo children are like that across the North and West.

“We have our future in Nigeria. The only thing Igbo nation should fight for is political power not by creating war scenario but by merging with other nations/tribes in Nigeria – the Northerners and Westerners. “Most Igbos, over 50 per cent, don’t even believe in Biafra because they have counted the cost from 1970 after the war till 2017. No one wants to go back to square one; it is not possible.

“As a person, I am against it; what the Igbo man should struggle for in this entity are equality, fairness and justice, not pulling out.

“It is very late to pull out, it will be difficult because majority of us are not ready to fight any war; I don’t want to lose my life nor my sons and daughter in war; I believe we can make Nigeria our home,’’ he said. According to him, even if the Igbo nation wants to pull out of Nigeria, it is not going to be overnight or by aggression, rather it should be via a friendly and democratic process.

“Kanu should calm down, unite with Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a tree cannot make a forest,” the lawmaker said. Newsmen report that there had been several agitations by IPOB for a Sovereign State of Biafra, the development that lead to the proscription of the group.

Very excellent one from an enlightened Igbo man. We should think like. Nobody should be deceived into baseless war.

This pig can be very funny sometimes.

Is it about saying they should go to hell?

What is expected of you son of a dirty pig is to pay the transporters to start evacuating your people from the arewas rather than grunting inside your potopoto abode.

Foolish pig.

Don't mind the criminal. Deceiving gullible people...

Brendaniel:
In as much as i am not against biafra, however i feel igbos have not addressed their major problems before agitating for biafra, biafra is like a marriage between a man and a woman where there is no going back after it's achievement, if the couples problems are not addressed before marriage they will suffer so much in that marriage and might never even recover from it, that was what happened to nigeria when lord lugard started the process and eventually achieved the creation of Nigeria as a nation.

Igbos have pressing issues that needs to be addressed, if not addressed, their situation could be worse than Nigeria, liberia and sierra leone put together....

1. Igbos are the least united trybe in Nigeria,(forget about the agitation for biafra, they are only united out of hatred for the hausas and when biafra is achieved the hatred continues).

2. Igbos don't have respect for the leaders, especially traditional rulers especially when money is involved, money is king in igbo land, have money and you can do and undo.

3. Igbos mentality about money is one of the worst in Nigeria, that's why they have the highest number of cocaine carriers in Nigeria.

4. They don't hold their political leaders accountable like the westerners, i would leave the north out of this because that is their way, but easterners who claim to be better are not anyway better because they will still be the ones fighting the FG when one of their leader is arrester for looting and be shouting witch hunt.

5. Igbos betray themselves more than any other tribe when money is involved, even Ojukwu did not get tje support he needed from igbos when he was alive and even when he wanted to contest for presidency, he was not even so respected by the so-called igbo elites because a lot of them had money than him, something that can never happen in the north nor the west...

I can go on and on but the truth is biafra to me is a good agenda when you look at the situation of nigeria but igbos should do their homework first to avoid irreversible problems.....

Car Talk / Re: Lady Meets Snake While Coming Down From Her Husband's Car, Then This Happened by halfcurrent(m): 8:30am On Jul 18, 2017
ChangeIsCostant:
A lady is filled with thanks to God after her horrifying encounter with a snake while returning from work with her husband in his car. The woman whose baby was in the back seat - revealed that when she wanted to come out from the vehicle, she saw a big black snake waiting for her on the ground. Out of her instinct, the lady quickly closed the door just when the snake wanted to enter the vehicle as she smashed the reptile to death.... Read her words below;

On that faithful evening, le boo came to carry me from my place of work, it was few minutes past 5pm. I sat at the front seat just beside him, while my baby was sleeping peacefully at the back. We gisted on our way, laughed, chop suya based on logistics all the way. Eventually we drive reach house, make I open door come down from motor. Na long hissing I hear, I decide to take another look before dropping my leg which was by this time suspended on air. My sisters lo and behold na big black snake I see, set and ready to attack.

The way I take draw my leg put back inside motor na only God fit explain am. Omo! My head was spinning fast as I quickly drag the handle of the motor make I close the door, the snake see me o, e know wetin I wan do o, na so e raise body spear come meet me inside motor. But my God who is faster than the fastest snake helped me lock the door just before it could enter the car.

I was shouting and telling hubby to drive back that there is a snake and the snake spear towards me inside the car but my hubby who takes everything as a joke thought I was joking, he started laughing and saying if snake hears sounds it runs away not to talk of a car whose noise is louder than that of a human and that even if it does not run that snake does not pursue someone inside car that what did I do wrong that snake would spear to come and meet me. Eventually he turned around to my direction to see if there was anything there and then he screamed.

"Baby it's there o, don't open your door o" come see me inside the motor, I Donn jump go back seat, carry my baby pass my husband side fly commot for the motor. Little did I know that the devil had already been defeated. When the snake speared to me inside the car, it succeeded in entering with its ugly head but when I locked the door I also succeeded in closing its head in between.

So it's head was inside with its mouth wide opened ready to bite while it's body was outside. God had killed it for me. Everyday I still celebrate my God who did this miracle for me........

BabaRamota1980:
Powerbike (also called Ninjabikes) are for showing off...you cruise and show off your swag. They are not racebikes, they do not have the weight ratio needed for tearing through the air at fast speed due to their drag coefficient, as such the risk increases exponentially with additional squeeze of the throttle and combustion and their crash is always fatal.

If you plan on racing your bike, first thing first, take it to an experienced bike shop to give it additional weight and bring balance and torque at speeds over 100km/h.

Remember, its safer to cruise your bike than it is to race it.

Well said my brother. Thanks

The baby was not eligible for drop box, hence needed to be presented physically at the embassy following a formal appointment. We went through that process and secured a Visa for her. Thanks all
