You don't need to reply him. olioxx: You call it fake life, I laugh, there is a very huge difference between fake life and dressing well. I just don’t know how to explain it, but you see as a man the way you dress tells a lot. Imagine a young guy wearing a well ironed natural color senator and someone wearing a faded polo and jeans, both have the same IQ and both are going to meet a client or attending an interview or both are working a corporate job. Who will be rated more?
One lesson I learned some three years ago is, in the business world have allies and ensure that key people like you, one way to boost that likeability is your appearance.
I don’t know about your current stage in life, but please dress well. It is a spice that will make things work faster and better for you. |

Hey, here’s how I’d look at it…
It really depends on what matters most to you right now — income, flexibility, or career growth.
1. If your priority is flexibility → stay remote. Remote roles give you time freedom, less stress, and lower transport costs. If your current remote jobs are paying well and you can manage both without burning out, that’s a strong advantage.
2. If your priority is career structure and stability → consider the on-site role. On-site jobs sometimes offer clearer promotion paths, more hands-on experience, and better long-term visibility. But they take away flexibility and increase monthly expenses.
3. If your priority is maximizing income → calculate the numbers. Sometimes combining two remote roles gives you more total income than one on-site role.
Also check:
workload
stress level
if hours clash
if you can deliver effectively without risking either job
4. If you’re trying to balance both remote and on-site → negotiate terms. If the on-site role is open to hybrid or flexible days, it could give you the best of both worlds.
My honest take: Pick the option that aligns with where you want your life to go in the next 12–24 months. If you value peace, independence, and multiple income streams → remote wins.
If you want structure, mentorship, and stability → on-site might be worth it.
You can’t lose. Just choose based on your priorities. |

25 Lessons I Learnt in 2025 25 Lessons I Learnt in 2025
1. When you confirm that someone truly loves you, protect their heart. Don’t betray genuine love. If the relationship can’t work, end it early—not with deception. Some lovers are not weak; betrayal can awaken a part of them you can’t control.
2. Don’t depend on promises. Treat promises as talk until they are delivered. Never pause your own journey waiting for someone else’s “bright future.”
3. Have a clear map for your life. What do you want? Once you answer that, the paths ahead become obvious and distractions lose power.
4. Stop caring about public opinion. People will mock and misunderstand you. Ignore the noise and stay faithful to your plan.
5. Seek truth relentlessly. A heart committed to truth gains wisdom naturally. You won’t need constant external guidance.
6. Appreciate beauty. Ugliness—whether in mindset, environment, or company—breeds negativity. Surround yourself with beauty: nature, art, people, architecture.
7. Practice kindness. It costs nothing, yet pays in ways you can’t measure.
8. Justice matters. “Eye for an eye” isn’t about revenge—it’s about accountability. Forgiveness is noble, but it should come after consequences, not instead of them.
9. See the light in people. Most people have value if you look closely. But don’t waste your energy on the unrepentant fool.
10. Become valuable. Value attracts opportunities and allies. It gives you leverage anywhere you go.
11. Never beg. Not for food, not for money. Begging chips away at dignity and kills creativity. Work—no matter how hard or dirty—strengthens you in ways begging never will.
12. Always stay optimistic. Optimism is fuel. Pessimism slowly poisons your spirit and blinds you to opportunities.
13. Don’t isolate yourself. Community is strength. Solutions, encouragement, and opportunities often come through people.
14. Give more than you receive. Givers control the game. Just as lenders are above borrowers, givers stand above receivers.
15. Dress well and smell good. Luxury is not cost—it’s presentation. You can look like quality without spending like royalty.
16. Life is long, but speed matters. Resources are limited; early movers win. Think like a strategist, act with urgency.
17. Avoid procrastination. If it must be done, do it now. Tomorrow has destroyed more dreams than failure ever did.
18. Think in years, not days. Long-term thinking helps you avoid short-term foolishness. Ask: If I keep doing this for five years, who will I become?
19. Hope is not a strategy. Work is. Miracles are rare; Consistent action is predictable.
20. Value people who value you. Don’t invest in those who treat you like an option. Even money isn’t worth losing your dignity for.
21. Don’t just learn skills—learn leverageable skills. Choose skills that create momentum, not skills that trap you.
22. Humans are manipulative—yourself included. Understand the game. Play it with integrity, but don’t be naïve.
23. Many secretly want you to fail. Your failure validates their fears and insecurities. Use that silent pressure as fuel to succeed.
24. Don’t fear failure. Failure is a teacher, not a grave. Allow yourself to fall, learn, rise, and evolve.
25. Take care of your health and let your food be your medicine because if not, drugs/medicine would become your food |
Romance › Re: Being A Single Man Is One Of The Best Things To Keep Happening To Me by Hamachi(f): 5:47pm On Dec 10, 2025 |
Bro I get you — freedom sweet. Waking up and only thinking about yourself is a privilege many people underrate. No diapers. No emergency school fees. No “where are you?” every 30 minutes. No unexpected pregnancy turning your destiny upside down. It’s normal to protect your peace. But at the same time… let’s be honest with ourselves: A lot of what you’re afraid of is chaos, not companionship. Irresponsibility, not relationship. Unplanned pregnancy, not love. If you’re intentional, disciplined, and aligned with the right person, partnership doesn’t steal your freedom — it multiplies your life. The problem is: Most men rush in without purpose, without boundaries, without knowing themselves. And that’s how they end up trapped, tired, and resentful. Marriage or fatherhood isn’t the enemy. Choosing the wrong person and being unprepared is. And being single doesn’t mean you’ll die alone. It just means you have time — time to build yourself, your money, your peace, your standards. Time to attract someone who doesn’t drain your life but actually contributes to it. So if being single is what’s giving you balance and clarity right now, enjoy it. Use it well. Grow. Travel. Make money. Think. Become a better man. Because the truth? When the right woman enters a man’s life, he doesn’t lose himself — he expands. But until that day comes… Indomie and “something soft” can remain strictly recreational activities. No future attached. No fear attached. Just vibes and self-control. Drifter02: Although I'm afraid I might die alone, nonetheless I still have to admit being single without any extra responsibilities- no kids, no wife - is one of the best things to keep happening to me.
I was talking to one babe just this evening.. telling her to come, I'll cook her indomie and buy her something soft and babe was smiling coyly and bro.. I was seeing the future and I didn't like it
The future of me getting the girl pregnant filled me with apprehension. Imagine, if the girl's pregnant and I had a kid on the way, I won't have no time for myself anymore, my soft life will no longer be soft, I'll always have to be worried about money, about not losing my job.. my happy life will now be sad and constantly apprehensive and all the ills that comes with having a girl pest on your life..
Omo.. married men, I'd like to say "I feel for you" but na lie.. because asides from enjoying constant puzi you knew what you were getting your asses into.. and I'm so glad I'm not you.. and in any case not all of you have money issues |

Remote Work Is Not a Joke – Learn the Game Before You Enter Remote Work Is Not a Joke – Learn the Game Before You Enter
I can run a mock interview with you, and I bet I’ll tell you where you're getting it wrong.
A lot of us want foreign remote jobs, but we don’t understand that our Nigerian work habits (indiosyncrasies) don’t always fly.
You don’t acknowledge emails.
You confirm availability but don’t show up.
You arrive late to virtual interviews.
Your background is noisy and unprofessional.
Let me be blunt: getting a remote job is a job on its own. Do you know how many rejections I’ve faced?
I didn’t just dabble into remote work. My journey started when a Kenyan company entered Nigeria and needed someone to educate them about the Nigerian market. I jumped on that chance—even while still doing my 9-5.
When their West Africa manager flew in, I was the one that moved around with him. That was my first taste of remote. But guess what? I still got rejected by other Kenyan companies.
Then, one day, an opportunity came. The pay was TERRIBLE. My friends laughed at me. But I didn’t care. I took the job because I wanted to learn and break out of the 9-5 system completely.
It was a US-based company, owned by a Nigerian. That job taught me Google Sheets, virtual meeting etiquette, communication, time management, and more. When we eventually got laid off, the CEO still relied on me to book her trips to Nigeria and prep her accounts. That’s the level of trust I had earned.
Remote Work ≠ Nigerian 9-5
Too many of us think our Nigerian 9-5 experience automatically qualifies us for remote work. It doesn't.
I've worked remotely with: 1. 🇮🇳 Indians – Low pay, high workload 2. 🇳🇬 Nigerians in diaspora – Be ready to multitask for real, and communicate like your life depends on it 3. 🇬🇧 British – Clear communication, follow instructions to the letter 4. 🇺🇸 Americans – They’ll track your hours, monitor productivity tools, and check your attention to detail 5. 🇨🇳 Chinese – High pressure, tight deadlines, very structured 6. 🇳🇬 Nigerians in Nigeria – Endless meetings, because they think you’re “cheating” the system by working remotely
If you don’t bring your A-game, they’ll move on. Quick. Skill Up Before You Burn Out
Don’t look at the pay when starting. Learn the game first.
Remote work is not a vacation. It’s a high-trust, high-performance environment. Nobody’s chasing you. Nobody cares if you showed up—what matters is, did you deliver?
If you're late to respond, sloppy with tasks, or bad at communication, you’ll be ghosted.
You want to earn more? Learn more.
Automation is changing the game. Even in accounting, things like VAT filing, bank reconciliation, reporting, and auditing can now be done from your living room. The tools are evolving—so should you.
Final Word:
Start from anywhere.
I was laughed at when I started. People thought remote work wasn’t real work. Today, I’ve worked with professionals across continents.
Don’t wait to be chased. Chase growth. Don’t compare remote to 9-5. Respect the difference. Don’t fixate on money at the start. Learn first, earn later.
Remote work is not beans.
But for those who are ready, it’s a global passport to the kind of career freedom many only dream about.
