jayfolarin:Hatefilled Yoruba fellow in action here. Before long, some of you may start to commit suicide because of the Igbo and Lagos. A few days ago, a Yoruba cdrdiologist in the US openly called for killing of Igbos anywhere in the world. Instead of declaring Oduduwa Republic, so that Yoruba can fully have Lagos as their own, Yoruba still stick to One Nigeria because of crude oil in the Nigerdelta. Here this one is making Nigerdeltans of southsouth a special good people, only because he believes his Yoruba can't survive without Nigerdelta and crude oil. Silly fellow, note that the Nigerdeltans whom your lot were able to fool those yester years are now dead or very old. The new breed of Nigerdeltans are smarter than your very crude and retrograde lot who believe only in scheming and scheming to exploit others, instead of working hard for your progress. You know you depend on the Nigerdelta for your land to develop in one Nigeria, but at the same time, you classify non-Yoruba in Lagos as guests. Have you heard of any country in the world where people are considered as guests in any city in the same country? Others go to school to get new techniques to develop themselves and their areas, so many Yoruba these days get education to propagate hate, out-dated and silly divide-and-rule tactic to apply in the old southeast region to get more money from crude oil. Yoruba in this mindset may degenerate to the level of Niger and Chad Republics in the not too-distant time, forge the glitter of Lagos, think of inner Yoruba lands that have mostly remained behind at par with the level in Niger Republic. To this Yoruba writer, APC seems to be all and all that matter to you most diffident lot now. Go out and work. Think of what you can contribute to your country, not just what APC can bring to you. |
Buhari ignore CONFAB RECOMMENDATIONS and see your presidency hit the rocks quicker than expected. Nigeria cannot continue to be a country restructured only by northern soldiers sympathetic to the political cause of Fulani. Jonah begged the Yoruba two months ago to vote him so that the next NASS shall implement the CONFAB resolutions. The rest is history. |
Colann:You don't seem to understand that the case of Buhari alleged to not have Ordinary Level certificate to qualify him for election is different from the case of perjury. Perjury is a criminal case while case of not having requisite certificate to contest is a civil case that requires no police prior investigation. |
Colann:Buhari's case of certificate is not a criminal case, this requires no police prior investigation before getting to the courts. |
jayhans:What do you think will happen if court disqualifies Buhari? Nothing. Perhaps some north may riot as usual, but the riot must be stopped by security agencies. It is even worse for Nigeria and prosperity if Buhari is not academically qualified, yet the court ignores it and allows him because of any sentiment. |
PassingShot:What type of winner are you? After 30000 innocent Nigerians were killed, more than 2000 women, including Chibok girls kidnapped, billions of Naira from crude oil expended to ward off your terrorist lot. You no de shame for your type of victory. You do not even know that Nigeria has been sent many decades back with your victory. |
"peaceful conduct of the 2015 general election in most of the states"...... I hear you. Born to rule has collected power - and perhaps for keeps for many more decades to come. That's why the election is branded peaceful and the PEACE CONFERENCE that follows. Imagine born to rule Buhari losing the election - will there be peace; talk less Peace Conference? |
PassingShot:You have given them the Puppet president they wanted, and who they will ask to sign, and he signs, even without looking at the heading. Or what else do you think interests them this much in that Nigeria's presidential election? Of course, you most diffident fellow is not bothered, so long as your lot receive crumbs from them through proceeds from crude oil in the Nigerdelta. |
fretnot: shino62:Conspiracy theorists in action. Anyway, Jonathan got the election defeat he wanted. He ought to have known that most northerners wanted power by all means to forestall the impending political restructuring for the country. The political structure was created by northern soldiers who also supervised a 1999 constitution to legalize the quasi-illegal 36 states+Abuja political structure that now allows north to dictate what major event can take place in Nigeria. The political structure also fetches north the most part of proceeds from Nigerdelta resources. When Jonathan placed two northetners, Jega and Police IG, Abba, atop in an election year which north had clamoured for return of power to the north, that was when Jonathan conceded defeat. |
torkaka:Until the Courts rule on Buhari's certificate and perjury masters before them, it's naive to assume that Buhari shall become president of Nigeria by May 29, 2015. The law does not respect anybody, not even respect for the so-called votes of 15 million Nigerians for Buhari. |
Demdem:Ignorant Yoruba branding people of the same country as strangers in Lagos. In no one country can a city brand citizens as strangers because the grand grand parents of the citizens were not from the city. This is a sign of growing illiteracy in Yorubaland - gradually moving to Western Education is Haram, thanks Jagaband. |
BeeBeeOoh:For decades, David Mark was getting the Oturkpoians with his assurance that he would get them Apa state; as if mark had the courage of a Yakubu Gowon, Murtalla Mohamed, Ibrahim Babangida or Sani Abacha - the four military generals that had the audacity to create states in Nigeria. |
kinglekan:No be only borehole sef, i go be express road. Dem sabi lie, no be small. |
ManTiger:One or two years from now, wish that your optimism be it. But..... |
Leojamesjames:Lol. Arabs and Somalis celebrate Buhari's victory all over the world - even more than APC Sai Buharis. Why ![]() |
Mogidi:Guess why the US media continued to blast Jonathan - they wanted a Puppet president for Nigeria who they shall tell sign, and he signs, even without looking at the heading - campaigning against Jonathan, they said that Nigeria had no government under Jonathan; they refused to sell arms to Jonathan government under the pretext that the arms would be misused by NA or get to the hands of BH people; they re-branded a once coup plotter as a no nonsense general - imagine that from the US that detests any soldier that ousted a democratically-elected government; their press even declared Buhari winner even before the election was conducted; their ambassador came to INEC central counting centre and sensing that Buhari was winning, he declared the election most advanced and fair, as he said that the PVC card reading technology was yet to be available to the US; imagine a technology that Nigeria can have before the US. Alas, Nigeria got a president Buhari mostly elected by an ill-informed talakawas. |
They have got the Puppet President they wanted, let them not complicate the problems in Nigeria. Jonathan's wife is an ordinary citizen, not elected by anybody, so her statement is irrelevant. We know, but they may not know how the election was won by blackmail of Nigerians with use of BH violence and kidnap of Chibok girls as campaign instruments to make Nigerians vote out Jonathan. |
SeverusSnape:Exploiting oil in Chad Basin is not bad, but is it Nigeria's immediate priority? Is that part of Buhari's election promise which made the Sai Buharis of NL chant? Watch out, any day Buhari gets sworn in as president, most of these cowards of Sai Buhari on NL shall disappear because of press and information censorship. When the Buhari clan ruled Nigeria for decades, akara and vegetable sellers in Togo, Benin Republic and Ghana, etc., were using mobile phones, but Nigerians in an oil rich country had none. Nigerians were purposely held incommunicado. |
Let Buhari get Chad Basin oil quick, quick. Once oil is found in Chad Basin in large quantities, the north of Nigeria must quickly say bye bye to one Nigeria -one Nigeria which every region hates but refuses to free itself from because of crude oil in the Nigerdelta; one Nigeria where citizens are classified as guests in some areas - a phenomenon never seen in any other country. Those who voted for "Change" may have sense after all. |
abduljabbar4:Don't call Okupe bastard. Next time, if you bring BH war, or kidnap girls, because you want presidency for your region, don't expect people to fall mugu like this time. |
gregg2:Nigeria is a country whose president emerges by votes of mostly illiterate talakawas from the northernmost part of the country - no thanks to Nigeria's rigged 36 states political structure. The states were undemocratically proliferated in the north by foul use of land mass as criterion. In no federal country has land mass, not even population, been used as criteria to derive federating units. Only in Nigeria. At every election, the undemocratic 36 states political structure created by northern soldiers are used to determine who wins a democratic election. Fa fa fa foul play - according to Zebrudaya. Tell, which region in the south of Nigeria can have one of its own ever win a free and fair presidential election in this political structure? Nada!! |
And Okupe was with the clueless government which could have investigated the Buhari certificate saga, and if found that Buhari truly had no certificate, should have sidelined Buhari long before the election. Is Okupe not a mole of APC in Jonathan government? |
danjumakolo:During most of the campaign period, did Buhari or APC promise you all those goodies like good hospitals, efficient power supply, good roads, good education? APC campaign was mostly that Jonathan and his crew had stolen Nigeria blind and couldn't stop BH, couldn't bring the seized Chibok girls who every right thinking Nigerian knows were kidnapped to send Jonathan away from office. Buhari promised that he was coming to kill corruption before corruption kills Nigeria, something Buhari knew he can't succeed in doing. Because Corruption is inherent in the unitary government system and rigged political structure of Nigeria. Don't expect much from APC government. |
Oh well, give Petroleum Ministry to Rotimi Amaechi so that he can collect back Rivers oil wells he said was allotted to neighbouring states. Because sure, Amaechi can't have the muscle to grab those oil wells seized by "strangers" (Lagos style) who come from very far away from Rivers and Bayelsa states. If Amaechi does not get Oil Minister, he must have laboured in vain for APC. EFCC chair for Amaechi must be aimed to attract Amaechi more enemies in Nigeria, more estrangement from his geopolitical zone and more divide-and-rule tactic to continue to rob his Nigerdelta of its oil and gas resources. |
OilGas:If there is an allegation against Saraki, what is preventing Tinubu from pushing for court trial of Saraki before APC accepted him and nominated him to contest for Senate position? But from head to the last, can one find any clean hands in APC? |
Lol, Born to Rule Will never stop to celebrate this their latest conquest of entire Nigeria enabled by Yorrober. |
Raiders:Foolish Deltan? Ibori did not steal more than people living in Hiltop mansions today all over Nigeria. There is Sani Abacha Stadium still in Kano. Ibori's sin that makes him a fugitive is that he asked more than others for Resource Control. Alamieghesima was also on Ibori's shoes. |
He could have been a nicer president-elect now... |
TRIBALSTOOGE:Bold: go tell that to the Yoruba. . They claim they sabi something too much. they selected and helped elect a known tribal/religious bigot to lead Naija. Na dem Yoruba still hold this country one. any day they declare, the contraption called country go finish that day. Americans have Hollywood, Indians have Bollywood. Nigerians come declare Nollywood, but North of Nigeria say no, their own dey different, their own na Kannywood -- religion? And the man has not even become president yet ... |
Soon, and very soon, Southwest and Northwest shall start to be placed on the same category - forget the razzmatazz and glitter of Lagos. In politics, they are one already - in religion, well well .... soon |
Buhari was one of these people in pix - though he did not appear here. The Abacha regime was better called Abacha-Buhari regime. Buhari was one of the key decision makers in the regime. Ethnic/religious bigotry this time gave us Buhari as president, because some people just could not tolerate Jonathan and some people in his government - same way black South Africans cannot tolerate fellow Africans |
Any person that makes a generalized statement about a tribe is a slowpoke. |
