The same South-South that Igbos nearly exterminated? Unlike , in the South west where igbos got back their properties ,even Ojukwu got back his in Lagos, not the same can be said in South-South, at least I know how ibos lost their properties in Port-Harcourt during the war.
You still bury your head in the events of about 45 years ago, while we are talking of today's Nigeria, and the possible future of your generations after you.

WELL , CALL FOR REFERENDUM IN THE LOWER NIGER, OR CALL FOR TOTAL SECESSION FOR FLN, ANY GROUP INVOLVED IN THESE CALLS MUST EXECUTE ANY OF THESE EVENTS BEFORE MAY 29, 2015.

BEYOND MAY 29, 2015, NO BODY FROM LN CAN BELIEVE THE ORGANIZERS,

BECAUSE BY THEN, THE NEW GOVERNMENT WOULD HAVE STARTED SETTLING THE PRIVATE POCKETS OF THE ORGANISERS

However shold they insist on exiting, aure vois!!!
After you used six years of BH violence and kidnap of Chibok girls to sack Jonathan you come to brag about victory.

Kwankwaso just said the north mobilized almajiris to sack Jonathan, in other words, we have an almajiri-made president in Buhari, in a country filled with too many well-educated people.
Where do you think Buhari shall take Nigeria to?

I know Ms Briggs more than you do and I can authoritatively tell you she is not indispensable. If she dares the Nigerian state she will be treated like a common criminal. But if she does with normal advocacy like she's been doing she will be treated with respect. I only just wish she don't join touts in her struggles.
You advice A. Briggs do advocacy all her life while you form alliance to exploit her backyard in guise of One Nigeria?

Perhaps you don't know, with or without crude oil and gas deposits, if in the last 40 years Oduduwa had been a country, the whole of Southwest of Nigeria blessed with all mineral and human resources would have been far more advanced than what it is today - forget the glitter of Lagos; the rest of SW has remained thatch and mud houses and under-developed, much even remain like in the Danfodian era.

So use intelligence, stop attacking LNF, A. Briggs, and any thing that can enhance Oduduwa Republic.

But then, if Yoruba so love Arewa that thay cannot stay alone in one country without Arewa, what stops Oduduwa from forming a country with Arewa and leave the LNF alone?

The truth is bitter. The point is this:
1. GMB should know that in a democratic environment, you do not gag the press. That will be bad publicity for the government.
2. GMB needs to learn the act of tolerance from GEJ.
3. AIT didn't carry out calculated hate campaign against GMB. All APC needed to do was run contrary publicity to refute those so called negative media advertorial against GMB.

4. We all should brace up for a DICTATORS reign. It will be ugly, I tell you.
Buh is yet to become president but already treathening those to probe and unarguably jail, he is already treathening press freedom even as a president-elect.

Well, Buhari does this because he knows that Nigeria's political class are clumsy, the military worse.

Is Buhari yet president?
Where did his security details derive the constitutional powers to bar AIT or any media from covering public events organized by or for Buhari?

Nigerians who asked for Change must have asked for dictatorshilp.

Remember which clan ruled Nigeria in the 1980s to late 1990s when even Beninoise and Togolese akara and vegetables sellers were using mobile phones, while Nigerians had none. Nigerians were held incommunicado.

Because Jonathan has no balls. Have we ever seen a president still in power, yet a president-elect sets off insinuations that he shall jail the still sitting president? Only Jonathan.

A President OBJ would have ended Buhari's political march after the fracas of 2011 when Buhari's supporters killed over 800 Nigerians, including youth corpers.

Exactly.
Let Buhari probe Jonathan make we rest. 29th May is not that far. So let them start perfecting their acts.
Mind you, if Buhari wants to throw JONATHAN to jail - one believes Buhari would want to - it is very easy for Buhari to contrive an evidence to throw JONATHAN, and possibly, many members of JONATHAN's cabinet to jail.

It is politics, politicians of Buhari clan go for the overkill, not minding what people say.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan To Buhari, I Am Ready For Probe. by hansad: 8:54pm On Apr 27, 2015
Lol, Reuben Abati said the Jonathan government reviewed the activities of previous governments when it assumed office. This is fishy. In other words, Abati is giving Buhari the moral back up to probe Jonathan as Buhari has threatened.
There is no government probed by succeding opposition government by opposition party which cannot find faults with the just gone government.
It is politics. Abati ought to have known that. Sorry Jonathan.

From then on, let Buhari do what he will. Jonathan is saying, I led this government and you want to call it into account, no problem. Here I am.
let Buhari do his worst. we are waiting and watching.
And Jonathan does not seem to understand the attitude of the Buhari clan toward others in Nigeria; that he, Jonathan, had issues with Sanusi, that this Buhari talk of probe started shortly after Sanusi met with Buhari a few days ago.
Is it possible for a jaundiced leader to probe Jonathan, or indeed any past leader, without finding something to throw the past leader in jail?

Jonathan go de do eye service as Buhari/Sanusi throw him to jail.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan To Buhari, I Am Ready For Probe. by hansad: 8:25pm On Apr 27, 2015
And Buhari/Sanusi will jail Jonathan, no heavens can fall, if Jonathan does not tackle Buhari well now.

Jonathan's response should have been that Buhari ought to be the first to be probed, Buhari being the first ever officer to be accused of stealing money from Petroleum proceeds. Who expected OBJ to truly probe his northern mentors?

But is Jonathan a politician? Worse, Jonathan will be respected by Buhari but have those who served under Jonathan thrown into jail.

And Jonathan may not be bothered over that because he might not understand the implications;

the same manner Jonathan failed to understand the ugly implication of leaving an old, most vindictive and semi-literate person behind him as Nigeria's president in the 21st century in Nigeria flowing with large numbers of young, healthy, well-educated people.

Yoruba people made Lagos a great city decades before Nigeria as a country and this is the same reason why other tribes moved to Lagos to take advantage of the good work Yoruba people did on Lagos and even the FG government made Lagos the FC for the same reason.

Learn to give credit where it's due and quit discounting other people's achievements. This is what many Yoruba people and Lagosians find insulting and denigrating. It's also your own brand of hatred.

Just before 16 years ago when Lagos was neglected and left stinky and rotten, many of you had many unpleasant things to say about Lagos state, even here on NL, we see and read all the mean and evil things the same other tribes especially the ones from SE post on NL, they labeled Lagos state the worst place to live on earth, they post any negative international media story about Lagos and they never hesitated to abuse and denigrate Lagos state leaders and governors.

Other tribes did not do Lagos any favors simply because people work and pay taxes regardless where they call home and Lagos is a great place today because of good, credxible and skilled leadership with strong sense of duty and purpose and the fact that the same other tribes and their leaders can not replicate back in their states what's going on in Lagos shows this is not about tribe, but leadership.
YORUBA people made Lago s a great city before Nigeria made Lagos its capital city?

There is no amount of lie you people will not tell regarding this Lagos/Igbo palava.
Lagos was not even Nigeria's first capita.
Repeat: Only way left for Yoruba to have Lagos the way Yoruba wants it is by declaring Oduduwa Republic which once declared mist bring one Nigeria to an end.
Far northern Nigeria literally declared its Arewa Islamic republic when its 12 states illegally adopted sharia criminal laws.
Nigerdelta once declared its republic. Biafra for old SE region was declared . The last two was stopped violently, but Yoruba Oduduwa Republic ain't gonna be fought by any southern group for One Nigeria.Arewa may not be keen, even at that, it cannot embark on a futile war to bring one Nigeria back.
PoliticsRe: Dr. Ariyo Responds To Accusation Of Igbo Xenophobic Comment by hansad:
Dr. ARIYO IS NOT ASKING FOR ANY FORGIVENESS OR EVEN SERIOUSLY TRYING TO CONVINCE ANYBODY HERE THAT HE WAS NOT THE ARCHITECT OF THE CRIMINAL WORDS ASCRIBED TO HIM.

IN A COUNTRY GOVERNED BY RULE OF LAW, THE US, ARIYO HAS JUST REALIZED THAT HIS FREEDOM AND JOB MAY BE AT STAKE SOON FROM HIS TAKE ON IGBOS WHICH AMOUNTED TO CALL FOR GENOCIDE AND PUNISHABLE IN A SANE SICIETY LIKE THE US.

But on a daily basis, many Yoruba in the zoo Nigeria make similar threats like Ariyo's, or even worse, against the Igbo, just because of Yoruba fears that Lagos may soon lose touch with Yoruba culture because of high Igbo population in Lagos. But there does not exist any country in the world where citizens of the same country are considered guests in any city in the country. So it's surprising the degenerate level of the mindset if some of today's Yoruba.

In the first place, why must Ariyo living in far away US have much to do with what a deviant Lagos-based Oba Akiolu was in?

Did any Nigerian zoo law enforcement agency even question Oba Akiolu who made some obviouse ethnic slur - and blunder?

Instead of Yoruba to declare Oduduwa Republic and have Lagos remain the way Yoruba want it, Yoruba still strive to eat her cake and have it - oil money from former southeast region build Lagos in conjunction with the residents of Lagos who include large population of Igbos.

Why must Yoruba regard non-Yoruba in Lagos as strangers, while Lagos is being built by resources from outside Lagos and by a large number of Nigerians pooled from all parts of the world?

Has any American ever described Dr. Ariyo as a guest in the US city that Ariyo lives in? One can comfortably answer No for Ariyo.

Yoruba need to fast-track development of long underdeveloped Yoruba hinterland.

It's no point Yoruba wanting to cause blood shed or commit suicide because of a Lagos city 70% of which is a huge slum.

Dear Igbo Compatriots:
One of the closest Igbo man to the President
Elect is Dr Chris Ngige Onwa, a Senator who was
defeated in the Senatorial Election.
See how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They
couldn’t override a pathological hatred for
General Buhari to make a hedge bet and return
this man to the Senate, to enhance his chances
at Senate President, incase General Buhari wins,
which he did.
Instead folks played tribal and religious politics
to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man
and the chance to make history as Senate
President.
That’s what happens when emotions trips
common sense and folks succumb to hustlers
like Peter Obi and Arthur Eze, hustlers after their
own interests instead of the masses they
pretend to serve.
I urged caution, I pleaded that we were making a
huge mistake to hitch our wagon on Jonathan
who wasn’t going to win. And predictably he lost,
so also our chance in the new administration.
I hate to gloat.
But maybe, maybe, only maybe he gets a good
ministerial appointment, but nothing beats being
Senate President.
Igbos are very bad at politics.
Fifty years after independence, we are yet to
produce a president when others have taken
multiple turns. Our answer? Blame others! If you
only Hausas didn’t do this or Yorubas didn’t do
that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our
lot.
And sadly it won’t stop until we learn to coexist
with others instead of our ‘better than thou’
attitude when dealing with the Hausas and
Yorubas. We are not better than anyone, these
folks we thumb our noses at, are God’s creatures
like us.
We don’t like the Hausas and we don’t like the
Yorubas, yet we populate their States in search
for our livelihood.
Our politics should mirror our economic
aspirations, not the other way around. There is
no wisdom in living in the North, earning a living,
yet despise the Northerners. That’s being
ungrateful. The gods of politics don’t like that.
How long can this collective amnesia insulate us
from meaningfully seating at the table, making
contributions to Nigeria’s political evolution?
How long can this foolishness go on?
How long?
There is a miserable silence across the land
today, because we are realizing that we were
sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as
Igbo leaders.
Where are they?
If u hate this post and feel u are the original Igbo
and am the sold out.....Please delete me from ur
list and stop feeding me if u ever had.
A hardly known Igbo group made some statements so that thegroup be recognized, Yoruba people on NL descended on whole Igbo made up of about 35 million people.

Are Yoruba people getting more and more nervous for what? Una don win presidency na with north, or you have already started to notice you won a Phyrric victory, which of course, what you won?

Must all your survival depend on what transpired between getting oil money from the delta to politics of how to share the money?

All you specialize in these days is make cheap propaganda blackmail against the Igbo, to weaken Igbo resolve to strive harder, all your blackmail to retain One Nigeria because you believe without crude oil proceeds you cannot survive.

Una no de shame again, the open manner you display these days that you have nothing else better to live on than scheming how to get more from oil revenues, more than the people on the delta whose lands and immediate environment the oil is found.

Geraway with your childish blackmail.

Dont mind all these so called ethnic champions who sow nothing but seeds of discord and hate among the people. Why cant they demand things on behalf of NIGERIANS? Na only Ndigbo get needs or na only dem need attention?

Anyway, we the NdiNigerians (i.e. the rest of Nigerians that actually voted for Change and Buhari) also have three demands we make from our dear Ndigbo brothers and sisters.

(1) stop seeing yourselves as the sole victims of marginalisation in Nigeria - na all of suffer under previous governments (especially under your adopted son, Jonathan) and na all if us go benefit if Buhari performs.

(2) stop seeing yourselves as some sorts of super-human, ultra-intelligent, semi-jews that are BETTER than other tribes. This is not only a dangerous fallacy, but it leads to disrespect of other tribes (on your part) and irritation of your tribe (on the part of others). As a people Ndigbo are unique and have excelled in some aspects BUT that does not mean other tribes are incapable or lesser than Igbos.

(3) many - not all of you sha - need to actually start believing in Nigeria for once. When was the last time an igbo person (red cap chief or not) condemned MASSOB or engaged them in a serious debate about a united Nigeria? Or is it that una dey secretly support dem or hope say dem go succeed? which one una dey? In 2019 someone like me no go mind vote for Rochas as president BUT I am sure many Ndigbos will sabotage my willingness to trust them. That is if they dont sabotage his ambitions to start with. Nigeria can be better IF all of us believe in it.

End of demands.

As you can see, our demands are not about politics, appointments, or materially and financially demanding from you. All our demands have to do with YOUR state of mind as members of this country.

Thank you. God bless Nigeria and every Nigerian in equal measure.

May we continue to tolerate and love one another and to love our country.

Say No to Xenophobia, IgboPhobia and NigeriaPhobia.

Signed: J. Z. K
on behalf of NdiNigerians.
Na so. Nigerians. More than 96% of non northerners in northern Nigeria have been flushed away from northern Nigeria. But so long as SS and SE zones still remain part of Nigeria, one Nigeria ahoy, non stop.

If the Nigerdelta makes any move for fiscal federalism, they are branded criminals and given the Saro Wiwa, Odi and Gbaramaturu treatment. If MASSOB opens mouth to talk, you expect Igbo leaders to keep them shut up. One Naija ahoy.

See as una small brain de work to keep one Nigeria.

Walahi, if not for the large percentage of Igbos who have property in Lagos and Abuja, and are not interested in leaving Nigeria, una for just wake up one morning to realize that Igbo has left Nigeria, impossible to get back one Nigeria. Today is not the 1960s. The level of good judgement is fast diminishing among Nigerians who want one Nigeria. A country forced together never makes it. Perhaps we are waiting for crude oil to finish.

[b]Please stop screaming wolf when there is none present! Nairaland isn't inciting any tribal conflict here, I think we should talk to our kinsmen to apply wisdom. Take it or leave it, the article is on a handful of print media and would be read all over. Nairaland is only a forum where news are culled from other credible news websites or from users of the forum who witnessed first hand events. When Oba Akiolu threatened the Igbos, Nairaland aired it as it was. I'd really love for you to explain the bolded to us. I'm really dying hard to read your version of the definition. I think the groups representing the Ndigbos are painting the Igbos in bad light.

The Niger-Delta outrightly rejected Dokubo and pledged to support GMB's administration, despite the failure of their own to return. The Hausas and the Yorubas are yet to make demands, none that I know of while several Igbo groups keep presenting endless demands and lists like it's a bride price list meant for a groom. Stating the obvious, the Igbos, though obvious through their representatives, are still bitter and it's pointless because the sympathizers are obviously crying than the bereaved. Nigeria is saddled with several ethnic groups and the incessant demands of the Igbos is only out to show that they're self-serving. It's only ironic when you hear someone say "we're not part of 'this zoo'" yet their demands day and night is disturbing. The demands are irritating. Apologies to anyone who feels insulted by my post smiley

The Igbo group that made that request is on its own, and does not in any way represent the Igbo intelligentsia. Niger bridge is not an Igbo property, it is Nigeria's property. In fact, if there's no bridge linking the SE with rest of Nigeria, any Igboman who is brilliant enough to understand that one Nigeria is a fraud shall welcome it.

When a new Igbo country is established, it shall take the country less than two years to build a new Nigerbridge or any bridge to link the country with whomever it pleases.
