searching4lovee:GEJ accepting defeat after election and the judiciary upholding the rule of law - they are two things that are poles apart from each other. INEC has done its job. The Judiciary must do its own also. |
Is anybody in charge of Nigeria? GEJ said he is tired after being in govt for 16 years. Someone was accused of not having adequate certificates, was accused of swearing falsehood under oath - but no government agencies investigated that. Instead, private people had to finance going to court to find out the truth. Is anybody in charge in Nigeria to fish out who killed this lady? This is EVIL. May her soul rest in peace. |
phemmyutd:Sophisticated and educated assssshoooole: The day you declare Oduduwa country, that day, Igbos shall leave Lagos. But do not expect to have Lagos as purely Yorubaland in One Nigeria while you come to SS and SE to tap revenues for Lagaos development; while non-Yoruba also pay tax and provide infrastructure that develop Lagos.. |
Kingspin:Well, people know that Fulani are most vindictive in nature. Fulani is unforgiving. Any region that did not vote for Buhari must not expect anything good from his presidency. |
EUROBOMBER:@EUROBOMBER, You know no damn thing about population dynamics. Do you think that about 1000 years ago, Yoruba existed in Lagos? You're daft. Plain stupid. You've just exhibited ignoramus here. Perhaps, in the next 1000 years, most, or all the people in Onitsha or Aba may not be Igbo. |
contactmorak:See him mouth and see: "to ensure that Igbos do not lose out totally." So una know say Nigeria is diseased with tribalism - but no country diseased with this tribalism ever survives - yet you want one Nigeria to continue. For what? For the sake of crude oil in the N/Delta for some Nigerian groups. |
Since the end of the civil war, Igbos don't kill Yorubas, Yorubas don't kill Igbos. Only Fulani/Hausa/kanuri kill both Igbo and Yoruba since the war ended. This Oba's threat is serious. |
sauceny: |
wakacome:What is PDP again? President Jonathan wrecked PDP when he knew he was tired of being in government after 16 years, yet he could not tell his followers; yet he wasted all the money and people's energy in campaigning for him for second term. |
Evidence of this Yoruba Oba's speech with the evidence that Igbos have been chased away from the north must go a long way to advance the birth of a new Igbo country independent from Nigeria. Enough is enough. |
debbie:A nation is a country with people who share similar value systems and pursue development goals for all of their country. Nigeria is not a nation, and can never be. Crude oil and natural gas from one part of Nigeria are what hold Nigerians one. In which nation can someone like the Oba make such threat he made to others in the same nation? None. We are all deceiving ourselves in pursuit of one Nigeria as a nation. Every new day brings new realities that we are wasting time. |
oladele97:Excuse me, with the mindset of people like you, why must we continue to have One Nigeria? |
[quote author=jayfolarin post=32418002]the yoruba region to be way ahead of them should nigeria break up (God forbid). What is God forbidding about Nigeria breaking up? Did God create Nigeria? No. You know truly that Nigeria will break up, but you do not want it for now, because you do not want to lose crude oil revenues. But Oba of Lagos and people like you segregate people in Lagos according to tribe. Any way, you are not to blame with your little intelligence, people from the SS and SE are to blame for continuing to be divided and ruled. But it is time for the SE to go it alone. |
Only the evidence from these rantings of this Oba of Lagos, as well as evidence that Igbos have been chased away from the north by Boko Haram are enough before the UN to accelerate the birth of an Igbo country. The Oba of Lagos made his threat in his homestead. Is Lagos part of Igboland? No. If Igbos cannot see the handwriting on the wall that one Nigeria is falsehood, let the Igbos then continue to be hopping around in other peoples enclaves because of fleeting landed properties and businesses some Igbo have outside Igboland. Collective efforts by their learned peoples made new countries like East Timorese, countries from ex-Yugoslavia, ex-Soviet Union, South Sudan, etc., free themselves from their former unworkable countries. Nigeria is unworkable, only those glued to crude oil revenues sit glued to Nigeria. |
Tell Amaechi, though Buhari is not sworn in yet as president, we are already shouting: "Change. " |
Tell these people: Amaechi has taken you people to many years of servitude |
Eggcelent:You got it, the man had no clue. If not, he could, at least, have restructured Nigeria politically. |
CLUELESS INDEED!!! . WHY THEN DID JONATHAN BURN BILLIONS OF NAIRA CAMPAIGNING FOR SECOND TERM? DID HE NOT KNOW HE HAD ALREADY HAD ENOUGH BEFORE THE LECTION ![]() INDIRECTLY, JONAH IS FINALLY ROUTING HIS PDP, HE IS ABOUT TO DENOUNCE THOSE THAT SUPPORTED HIM. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR THIS JONAH MAN TO KEEP QUIET, INSTEAD OF MESSING HIMSELF AROUND LIKE THIS. |
The lady next to Tonto is prettier than Tonto. |
This Jonah is fats finishing his PDP; and fooling those who voted for him. Why then did he spend all the money for re-election? Clueless nature of the man is fast emerging. If he had kept quiet. Front page please!!!! |
President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday looked back at his years of service from being the deputy governor of his home state, Bayelsa, to when he became the country’s President and said, “I think it is enough.” Jonathan spoke while receiving residents of the Federal Capital Territory who were led by Vice President Namadi Sambo to pay him Easter homage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The President said he had no doubt that he is the luckiest Nigerian. He said, “For me as an individual, this Easter coincides with the time I am leaving but I always say that I am one of the luckiest Nigerians. I am yet to see somebody luckier than me. “From 1999, I was in the hands of government for 16 years. Not just in government as a parliamentarian because if you are a Senator or House of Representatives member, you take care of yourself, you live in your own house. “I was in a cage, being taken care of by the government. From May 29, 1999 to date; 16 good years. I think it is enough and I am happy, help me to thank God for that. “I will continue to thank Nigerians for giving me that privilege. I became a deputy governor because Bayelsans voted for me and my governor then. I became a Vice President because Nigerians voted for Yar’Adua and myself. “I continued in 2011 because Nigerians voted for me and Architect Namadi Sambo. I have to thank all Nigerians. Wherever I will be, I will remain grateful to this great country. Today is a glorious day for me.” Jonathan said Easter, being a period of sacrifice, Nigerians should be ready to make sacrifice for the survival of the government irrespective of who is the President at a given time. He said even since his days as deputy governor in his home state, he kept telling people that what he needed from them was patriotism and not loyalty. He said nation building depends on sacrifice and patriotism. He cited the examples of soldiers and policemen who he said were dying daily in their fight against Boko Haram in order for others to live. http://www.punchng.com/news/i-have-had-enough-says-jonathan/ |
UrennaNkoli:Ma dear, For the second time, Buhari can't be allowed to smile to power through violence. First time in 1983, Buhari smiled to power after a violent military coup. This time, Buhari is riding higher than before because BH violence made some Nigerians believe the incumbent govt could not provide them with security. But Buhari showed a lot of sympathy with Boko Haram. Not all Nigerians are class One ignoramuses to allow Buhari smile to power twice with violence. |
But do Nigerian observers meddle like this in US and UK elections? Let Nigeria be and do its things its own way please. ![]() |
ozoigbondu:Like the BH attack on Buhari convoy in kaduna - all na stage-managed. The difference is that during Buhari's own, some people were killed. Because Buharia na blooooooooooooooood sucka. Blood of the dog and the babbooon |
bobcharly:Osinbajo can not succeed Buhari if by any miracle Buhari wins. If ever Buhari wins, any day he is leaving, a born to rule must take over from Buhari, at worst, through a palace military coup. Born to rule succeeded one another in power that way for about 30 years. It is even more desperate now than before to retain power for donkey years. |
But most of the SW supporters of Buhari truly believe they are supporting Osinbajo for President. That is why those SW people have been painting Buhari with all the beautiful colors. They can even tell you that snow is blacker than charcoal once they are promoting "Buhari for president 2015." - promoting Osinbajo for president. COUNTERFEIT, EVERYTHING ABOUT BUHARI NA COUNTERFEIT. |
Hope this is the last message Muhammadu Buhari delivers to Nigeria. Under no circumstances can Buhari become president of Nigeria. Buhari, a retired general, waged a psychological war against Nigerian Army when he told the army and government that fighting terrorists was like fighting north of Nigeria. That Buhari statement divided Nigerian army and prolonged the war against terrorists. So many lives of soldiers were lost with the divided army. Let aged Buhari who seems to have lost his memory quit the scene - right now. |
Stylaay:The sai Buhari noise now is more than the other years because some people in the SW foolishly believe that they are doing piggyback ride on the back of old Buhari to Aso Rock. They believe if Buhari wins, he shall die or retire very soon, so that Osinbajo shall take over. They do not know it is easier said than done. Should a Buhari presidency occur now, the mallams as usual, are so tribalistic that power can never leave mallam hand again - even in the next fifty years. |
soe:Boko Haram? Your north fetched firewood infested with red ants when its 12 states adopted sharia criminal laws like stoning women to death for adultery, in 2000. Boko Haram emerged latter and says it is fighting for a country friendly with sharia criminal laws. So where is Jonathan culpable there? Your luck is that more than 90% of Nigerians do not understand the difference between sharia criminal codes and sharia civil codes. Sharia civil codes have been in Nigeria's constitution all along. But sharia criminal codes are not in the constitution. Your 12 states breached the constitution of Nigeria when it adopted shari criminal codes then; and even drew a map of Arewa Republic with that act. And the same Buhari who charged Muslims in 2001 to ensure that sharia criminal laws are extended to all of Nigeria is the one you are doing sai to become president of Nigeria? Stupiiiid. |
Pebcak:The next very important fight is for you to finally and politically quarantine their big oga who told you not to kill them terrorists. Their Oga Buhari told you soldiers that fighting the terrorists was like fighting the north of Nigeria. That statement helped to terribly divide your army, prolonged the fight against BH and caused the loss of many more soldiers. That Buhari statement was the most unholy statement from a retired general of Nigerian army. |
midolian:You must be sad if the mission records success; as there shall be no more campaign instrument like Chibok girls to be used against President Jonah. Buhari divided Nigerian Army when he told them that fighting BH was like fighting the north. Do you know how heavy that statement from Buhari could polarize any strong army in a country of diverse religions and regions like Nigeria? That Buhari statement stalled the army's operations against BH. And Buhari mumuishly expects Nigerian Army to allow him become president under any circumstance - after all Buhari did against the army. No way |
Perhaps it shall succeed this time. Saboteurs who share same religious sharia laws with BH have been decimated through the inclusion of foreign forces. |
