Everybody is now prince or princess. My understanding is, for you to be a prince or a princess you must have been birthed not only by a king but birthed by a REIGNING mornach and birthed during the king's reign. Being born into a royal family does not automatically make you a princess. How can someone who was a commoner previously suddenly become "princess" ? huh huh huh

FamilyRe: The Travails Of Marrying Late by harbeedaymee(f): 9:25pm On Dec 22, 2015
a2space:
I am a 37 year old bachelor and I must confess that never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that someday I would be desperate to get married. When I was in my twenties, I used to hear of desperation amongst ladies to get married but I never clearly understood the feeling. I felt it was a "lady thing" until I got to the age of 34yrs. One day I was in my bedroom suddenly I felt the rush of emotions come upon me so strongly that all of a sudden started making me feel desperate for marriage. By the following year the desperate feeling became like torture and the loneliness was so depressing. I could no longer stand it when I attended weddings to see other young couples getting married. I could no longer stand it when I hear people discussing marriage around me.

I became like an object of fun in the office when they would call me "the oldest bachelor". I'm telling you, the feeling is not funny at all. Even when people innocently ask "Hey, why are you not yet married?" or "what are u waiting for?" It's a question that I just can't take emotionally. Though I'm doing my best to tie the knot soon but I must confess that it is a feeling that I don't even wish my enemies to have.

If me as a guy could be feeling like this, I can just imagine what single ladies of marriageable age are passing through emotionally.
For those of you reading my post, it is my prayer that you all get married at the right time and age so that you don't have to pass through the same emotional trauma of loneliness and desperation to get married.
There is no such thing as late marriage. There are different times and seasons for everyone cry cry cry

CelebritiesRe: The Hunt For Funmi Adams: Dead Or Alive? by harbeedaymee(f): 1:41pm On Oct 31, 2015
warrenweste:
Its another independence day celebration and 25 years after the lovely Album All we need is love was released by the great funmi adams and cbs sony records then way back 1990,even though the country has not improved much since the song was released but at least with the new govt now we are facing a new direction for greatness.

Her most famous song was Nigeria my beloved country

First Stanza
I know a lot about my country
I know a lot because I care;
I know a lot about the (pronounced der) people
I know a lot because I’m here.

Chorus:
Nigeria, my beloved country (pronounced and elongated as ‘be-loo-ved ‘)
Working together is the key
Nigeria, my beloved country, our future is you and me

Second Stanza
Land of iron, land of coal
Agriculture, oil and coal
They are assets that we own
Round the (pronounced as ‘der’) world, our name is known

Chorus:
Nigeria, my beloved country (pronounced and elongated as ‘be-loo-ved ‘)
Working together is the key
Nigeria, my beloved country, our future is you and me

Third Stanza
I know we have a great potential
To do more than just survive
Let’s build up our strength and pride
Trust in God to be our God

Chorus:
Nigeria, my beloved country (pronounced and elongated as ‘be-loo-ved ‘)
Working together is the key
Nigeria, my beloved country, our future is you and me

her other songs include

All we need is love

Mama

Omode o

ina gizon yake

Aha ye yaro

Nnem nnem nnemo

Omolasho

and so on

The Purpose of these thread is to try to uncover the mystery of funmi adams who seem to have disappeared without no trace for the past 23 years according to the executive producer ..Tunde alabi Hundeyin(Dudu music),so deep is her mystery that almost everybody that use to work for her then even couldn't trace her or were even no where to be found besides the producer Tunde akins and editor tunde obalana.
Is these how we will just let these beautiful songstress disappear with her works which inspired an entire nation with songs of unification on brotherhood, sisterhood and what it means to be patriotic.

N.B...Pls if you have any of her vhs/vcd pls signify so we can at least revive her works again (and pls forgive my typos) Thanks smiley
I feel the search for this lady should be suspended. Her case is just like that of the Lijadu Sisters. They suddenly vanished into oblivion too. Like someone said, it's either she is dead or she wants to live a quiet life and does not want to be found. Probably sh has health issues and she doesn't want her problem to be made public. If people who worked closely with her during her time in the limelight can say they don't know her whererabout, it means she wants to maintain a private life. Let's allow sleeping dogs lie wink wink wink

CelebritiesThe Stages Of Rituals The New Ooni Of Ife Adeyeye Ogunwusi Is Set To Undergo by harbeedaymee(op): 5:17pm On Oct 29, 2015
Read The Stages Of Rituals The New Ooni Of Ife Adeyeye Ogunwusi Is Set To Undergo

Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife elect, yesterday stormed Ile-Ife amidst fanfair. His installation ritual rites will commence shortly and it's in several stages. It may take a total of 21 days as against the usual 30 days.

The stages are:

1. The Ooni will be received at Ife end of Ife/Ibadan expressway. He must enter Ile Ife in the day time after his name has been announced.

2. The Ooni will go to the Giesi Ruling House to be installed as the Sooko. According to Ife tradition, he must first be the Sooko of his family before he mounts the stool of Ooni.

3. After his installation as Sooko, the Ooni will head to the Obalufe Palace to perform rites at the Orunto River inside the palace, after which, he will proceed to a forest on Ilesa road for another round of rituals.

4. The Ooni of Ife is also expected to go into seclusion in Ilofi for a minimum of 21 days for series of rites and initiations.

5. The Ooni will meet an old woman in spirit to receive the power left by Oduduwa. The old woman will give him all the power over the Yoruba race.

6. The new Ooni of Ife, Prince Adeyeye Ogunwusi, must belong to the Isoro cult.

7. Lowa Eredumi of Ile Ife, Oba Eluyele Olawenu, according to tradition, will officiate at the installation rites.

This is shameful whichever way we look at it. The question we need to ask ourselves is this. Can Obama be given this type of treatment? Can he be asked to ride on a golf cart in an airport? The answer is a resounding "NO!" As a president, he should have allighted on the tarmac, recieved by government officials, then made to walk to a waiting car; afterall he travelled to the country with a jet and not a normal airline so the reception should have been different. Only ignorant people will consider this charade acceptable angry angry angry angry

SportsRe: I Shall Return - Enyeama by harbeedaymee(f): 8:44pm On Oct 11, 2015
LieDetector:
Former Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama has been in the news following his rift with Coach Sunday Oliseh. Enyeama announced his resignation from the national team via the social platform. In this interview with Galaxy Television, the Akwa Ibom born goal tender is saying he wants to be part of the team to re-write the history of Nigeria football.
We have heard so much about your rift with Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh. tell us, what has been going on?
First, of all, I want to thank Nigerians. I appreciate the passion, the criticism, everything. I want to say a very big thank you.
On the issue on ground, I think this is not the best way to treat someone who has served the country with so much enthusiasm and so much passion, so much dedication, you know, commitment. I think I have honoured almost all the matches I have been invited to play for the Super Eagles.
So to be treated the way I was treated a couple of days ago, I personally don’t accept that.
What really happened in the camp between you and Oliseh? How were treated?
When I came to camp, I had no issues with my coach. The coach has been a big part of me. He is there for me. He fought for me when I had issues with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). The coach defended me all the way. I have never had an issue with him.
He (Oliseh) doesn’t know me. I don’t know him. We have never played together. We have never shared a football field, together.

The first thing that happened when I first arrived at the camp was a meeting. At the meeting, the coach addressed the players. The first thing he said was that he invited four goalkeepers to camp because he never expected me to come to the camp.
Secondly, he said that I was no more the captain of the team. That he had decided and he calls the shots. That was before dinner. He ended his speech with, “Enjoy your dinner”.
For me, it was a little bit shocking because I spoke with the NFF chairman (Amaju Pinnick) during the burial of my mother in Akwa Ibom. I was trying to excuse myself from coming to the camp because of the burial. He said, “No, Vincent, you have to be in camp”. He pushed me to be in camp. And because I really respect him (Pinnick), I told him I was going to leave everything, the thanksgiving service for my late mum. I told him, I was going to abandon it and come to the camp, which I did.
All the family meetings, everything we had to do with the people in the village, I abandoned all that and came to the camp.
So, for me to get my first welcome message of being stripped of captainship was a little bit not good for me. And after I had taken my food and ate, dinner had commenced. I am just telling you what played out.
I said, “Coach, please, I would like to say something.” He said, “No, you can’t talk”. I insisted that I wanted to talk. He insisted that I can’t talk. He then said that if I wanted to talk, he would order the team out and nobody would listen to me and I would sit there and talk alone or I would have to walk out if I insisted on talking.
I said, “Coach, I still want to say something.” And he said, “Vincent, get out! You have to leave now. If you don’t leave, I’m going to call the cops, the security to throw you out of this hotel.” He used the word, “security”.
He then got up, went to the door and opened it and commanded me to go out. He said, “Go out, go out, Vincent! Or I am going to call the security.”
So that is how it played out.
So, for me to lose my mother, be invited to the camp, only to be stripped of captainship. Then out of argument, to be threatened to have the cops or security called for me, to me, I think it is the height of it.
I have heard all sorts of things that Neymar this and that. They never treated Thiago Silva that way. They never treated Mascherano that way. Some Nigerians can say whatever they want to say, but for me, I feel that’s not the right way to be treated.
I am still open for playing for Nigeria till the day I die. Till the day I can stop playing
