For me and to the best of my knowledge, the bride's family are the ones in charge when it comes to marriage planning/financing. Supports can then come from other quarters like the groom. But as a result of the high poverty level around, a whole lot of things have changed thereby creating that wrong impression that some people have nowadays of it being a major responsibility of the groom.

I think Tinubu could be right because if you go online to INEC portal for transfer(change of address),correction,updating,loss,change of defaced voter's card,the first thing the system does for you is to revalidate by inputting some personal information and recent pictures (smiling and non smiling appearance) before taking you the page where you can then do whatever things you actually wanted to do. And if you visit any INEC offices to do any of these, you will even be asked to do thumbprinting too inaddition as to revalidate first before then doing what you came to do for you.

This man won a competition for God sake involving designers across the length and breadth of the country and his design was chosen as the best at that material time when there was little to nothing sophistication in designing... I think the Yoruba word being used to describe a group of tribes like Ijebu, Egba, Egbado,Owu,Ife,Ijesha,Ilaje,Ekiti,Owo,Akoko,Awori , e.t.c. is where I think the confusion first lies...The itsekiris as a tribe is no different from other tribes associating with the general word 'Yoruba' to describe people with similar culture.

Things of the spirits are far deeper than some people's here understanding. There are more than one solutions to a spiritual problem and what works best for one might not work well for another depending on some factors unique to that particular individual spiritually.Spiritualism knows no tribe,religion or language,it works in different diverse form. But within the spiritual realm are dark and positive forces competing together for the soul of mankind and this is where caution,knowledge, wisdom and understanding becomes important for one not to be deceived... Going back to the Bible, have you ever wondered why some spiritual/religious rituals carried out in the old testaments still works for anyone that performs it till today. Is God that accepted them then not the one still accepting them now?!The Jews of Israel still do them and it still works for them, even in Ethiopia that has spiritually gifted and powerful churches....

Apart from the issue of ethnic dominance, I believe the youths should be encouraged to take up certain sensitive national responsibilities and for this I am in support...

I think the major problem worrying Nigerians is laziness, they just read headlines and formed naive opinions instead of them to remain mute causing nuisance all around the air space. More so some people also have 'comprehension disability'. What the Ooni was reported to have said was well explanatory enough for any reasonable mind. Sunday Igboho has made a very valid point already,he needs to calm down atleast a bit for now because the bloody and destructive endresult of the hijacked EndSARS protest is still very much with us.

I am so much in support of this, and this is because absolute freedom is also bound to be abused. There should therefore be some measure of rules to guide them no matter how little...

We need to be far more very strategic and highly observant next time and not just dancing to whims and caprices...
